Like last time, a pipe fitting near the wellhead was cracked and ruptured, spraying water out at a good clip. I called Triangle, and Kim answered the phone immediately. She was cheerful, sympathetic and very helpful. After placing me on a very brief hold to contact a tech in the field, she notified me that Drew was right down the street having finished a previous job, and he arrived at our place within a few minutes! An amazing experience! We needed a water solution for a piece of property with no power and an old shallow well that was drilled but not utilized. After testing the well's production & water quality, and researching our options, Scott & Dave designed and built a system utilizing solar energy to pump water into a 2,500 gal holding tank and a generator to draw it back out to use for irrigation, washing horses or anything else we could think of. Water pressure is excellent and the solar kicks in during the day to refill the 2,500 gal tank. Very simple & efficient. They were prompt, courteous, and best of all patient. Our well was clearly having serious issues. This company had great reviews. When I first called, I spoke to the office manager Kim who took the time to listen to my long explanation of what was going on; she was super friendly whenever I spoke to her. I immediately got a call back from Scott, the owner. He actually came right out and diagnosed the issues. He was friendly and took the time to explain and show me his findings. It wasn't long before he and a crew came out to do the pump and line change-out. The location/terrain where my well is located made the job VERY difficult, but they were patient and did a great job. I watched the technicians, Dillon and Kaleb, do the work; clearly, they knew what they were doing. I really appreciated Dillon's attention to detail in making sure everything was done right. Here's the deal. I had a different well driller drill my well early on. I randomly picked the guy. He ended up drilling in the WORST spot ever. While all my neighbors hit water at 150 feet max and had 50 - 150 gallons per minute, I was at 700 feet with 7.5 gallons per minute. He also did a shoddy job with the install, and charged me $20K. Many problems ensued, some that can't be resolved and I have to live with. I don't want to say the name of that business, but I will say the owner's first name is Fred. Enter Triangle Well Drilling to clean up the mess. Scott is just incredible. Super friendly guy, and he does his research. He doesn't rely exclusively on water witching (which I'll admit I don't believe in at all), but instead he knows where the water veins run based on geological research and experience - THAT I believe in. He told me where I SHOULD have put my well, based on where the known water veins are in my property. Price per foot for well drilling is not the factor, folks, it's having someone who knows where the least depth is required. He also does really high quality work and always is willing to walk me through a solution over the phone at no cost before we both conclude he needs to come out. The other day, he sent someone out at 7AM on very short notice and the problem was diagnosed and it wasn't the well. Guess what? They didn't charge me a dime for the visit! Who else does that in this day and age? Most of all, these guys have the best attitude. I like Scott and I like Triangle well drilling. These guys are good, and they are honest as the day is long. You better do all your research because this guy is more concerned with taking your money than doing the right thing. I was quoted 300' for a well; it ended up at 1025' with 4 gpm and costing $20.5K. Scott knew I wanted to use a solar well pump and he also knew they don't work at this depth. He should have stopped drilling when there was no water by 500' and drilled somewhere else. The 2nd well cost $6K so It was cheaper to drill another well than drop a pump down that deep well. I will forever have this capped well as a reminder how I lost $20.5K because of this guy. read more

Scott the owner of Triangle Well is off the charts when it comes to customer service. Our well went down 9:00 on Sunday morning labor day weekend. Scott called back within 10min, and showed up within 30min after that. After diagnosis, he let us know the well pump had failed after 9 years of service and the price to replace, excluding additional parts needed. He explained each step of the process and had the well up and running within 6 hours. I would definitely use Scott and Triangle Well in the future. read more

Triangle Well Drilling recently restored our 18 year old well and did an outstanding job. The well began failing on a Thursday and Scott, the owner, came out the very next day to inspect the situation. The work entailed the replacement of all major parts. These included the old damaged galvanized pipe with a new 40 PVC water line and valves, well pump, 85 gallon pressure tank, pressure gauge, filter and protective cover. In addition, at our request, they installed a water pump device to protect against damage if the water supply fails and there is no water pressure in the system. Special praise also goes to Mike who did such excellent work. He was especially attentive to our concerns and questions and answered all calls promptly. We describe him further as absolutely thorough, responsible, caring and congenial. Triangle Well saved the day again! Our well stopped working, of course after 5 PM on a Friday. I called and left a message thinking we'd be without water over the weekend. Mike called me back almost immediately, and told me he can come out the next day. But before we scheduled an appointment, he walked me through troubleshooting the problem, and was able to provide me a solution over the phone instead of coming out and charging a service fee to solve a simple problem. He told me how to file down the corrosion in our pressure tank's electrical box, and when I turned the power back on, we had water again! Once again, very impressed and very grateful! read more

We live in the Sierra foot hills and recently we ran out of water! My wife came to me one morning and said "we have no water"! Due to the recent drought in California we thought we were just "another" well gone dry. We decided to get an expert opinion, or so we thought! A neighbor had used Triangle at one point, so we decided to call them. A young man responded soon after my call and performed a test at my well head, and reported "you're out of water, your well is dry". Through conversation with the young man we were told that sometimes wells will return in October / November. Another alternative given was to drill a new well, which would have been very expensive. With the information given to us by this "expert", we decided to wait. We started buying water by the tanker truck,(3000 gal.) Our holding yank holds only 1500 gal, so we purchased and installed a second holding tank at substantial cost so as not to waste the "overflow" After waiting nearly 5 months, conserving, buying water, washing clothes at the Laundromat and numerous other inconveniences, my son, who is an electrician wanted to do one more test before we had another well drilled. He bypassed an electrical switch at my well head and found that the well pump was failing and would shut off after only a few seconds as it did when Triangle performed their test. My son informed me that probably replacing the well pump would solve my problem. Soon after, I contacted Rumsey Lang Well Drilling and explained my circumstances. They responded and did their diagnosis of my well and informed me I did infact need a new well pump. Well pump installed and now everything good again. Obviously I'm very disappointed with the service or lack of service that Triangle Well Drilling provided. Their incomplete testing and inaccurate information they gave me caused considerable inconvenience and unnecessary costly expense. Customer service is not dead!. Triangle Well drilled the original well about forty years ago and the dug it deeper during our last drought. Ordinary well issues have happened and Scott has always responded within a reasonable time to my concerns. Our last episode was smelly water. We had the well/water tested and sanitized. It happened again. Scott advised me in a way that wouldn't cost me again and now all is well. (No pun intended). His knowledge, patience with a little ole lady, concern, and friendliness are such a value when dealing with the unknown. read more
