I figured it might be a long shot that he would be available to take a short notice situation like this on a Saturday afternoon, but fortunately he was available! I've been trying to cancel their annual service membership since April 27th, 2026. I was told that they had canceled it right then and there while I was on the phone. I received an email from them on May 3rd saying that my upcoming auto payment for the service that I had canceled was coming up and that it had gone from $199.00 a year to $249.00. I called to make sure that it had been canceled. Nothing happened. I responded to the email. It was kicked back to me. I emailed at the email in the invoice...three times and no reply. I called twice today. The lady that answered transferred me to the woman in charge of that. It rang a couple of times and hung up on me. I called back and was told to email them or use the other woman's voice mail, except it never goes to voicemail and I already mentioned how nobody responds to the emails. I can't tell you if their service is any good. I hired them to fix something, and they didn't fix it. We thought that they did, but they didn't. Now I'm fed up. Living in Rio Linda, one of my first phone calls was to RCI Plumbing in Rio Linda. I spoke to a nice lady who assured me they would let the tech guy know, since I had to shut the water off to the house.......we had no running water to the house as I told her it was sort of an emergency, but stable since I turned the water off at the meter. Well, I never got a call back from RCI or their repair guy. I called the next day and was told they were really busy, but they would get a message to the repair guy to call us. Long story short, we never got a followup call back from anyone at RCI....not from anyone! I get they're a large plumbing contractor and our problem, while serious, wasn't important to them. I wish someone at RCI Plumbing had the courtesy to at least call and say sorry pal, we're too busy or the job is too small. Fortunately, I didn't wait for these guys to not call back and called Trenchless Plumbing who took care of the problem as quickly as they could. Very expensive repair, but it's done! Cheers All....

There were only 2 options & this one had better reviews than the other. Tech came out on a Friday, relit the pilot without issue. He turned it off again as he said the burner plates needed to be cleaned. He cleaned them, lit pilot & left. By Monday, the pilot was out again & there was a faint smell of gas in my garage. PG&E came out, said there was a minor leak like maybe a bolt just needed to be replaced but nothing major or dangerous. They also said the burner plates might need to be replaced as they were old (water heater is old). I reopened my claim & the plumber said they'd come back but couldn't get to me for another 5 days. I was angry of course because your tech was just here & didn't fix the issue, so silly me for thinking they'd come back sooner. The same tech came back, I told him what PG&E said, gave him the paper from PG&E saying what they found & his response was "no, they're wrong." The tech took everything apart, put it back together & said "your unit is just old & needs replacement." He submitted a work order to the warranty company who said his recommendation would require me to pay $1,900 out of pocket as I needed my gas line replaced, the permits, etc. On top of that, the smell of gas was EVEN STRONGER THAN BEFORE. I called a completely diff. plumber to come out, paid out of pocket for him to look at it, & he said there was a part on the front that wasn't properly fitted which was causing the gas to seep out in the air. He replaced the one part & my water heater has worked just fine ever since. Pilot hasn't gone out again, no gas smell, water is hot as heck. That was 3 weeks ago! So I only ended up spending $200 as opposed to the $1,900 this company told me I'd need to spend to fix the issue. Don't use this company as at least one of their techs is a darn scam artist who tried to hustle me.
