After waiting several minutes I asked them politely to move. They continued to chat. When I said how rude they were once inside the manager, Joana, accused me of being the one who was rude. Even the employees detailing cars asked them to move and then just shrugged and said they were the bosses. I hope enterprise can hold a higher standard for how its leaders treats their customers. It was also really dirty inside. I don't think they've vacuumed in a year.

I have given them excellent reviews on many platforms, most often in their company surveys. I know business is hard, they have had to decrease the hours. But the service is not excellent any longer. I just was caught in traffic and needed to pick up a car, thinking I could get there by seven before they close, now they close at six. I began calling at 5:45 to ask if they could remain open for two minutes. I was put on hold repeatedly never picked up until one minute before close. I asked if she could stay open a few minutes so I could pick up the car. She told me that the safe was already locked. I arrived at 6:02. In the past, I could've counted on someone helping me out. Not any longer. When I asked when they stopped answering the phone, she said she picked up and got dead air. But I was on hold repeatedly and never picked up. I truly looked forward to renting my cars here a few times a month. My loyalty is now broken and I will just go to whatever company is closest and most convenient. I always was a loyal customer for Enterprise, especially this location, because I still felt like a customer, valued. That is no longer the case, sadly.

However, you cannot be assured that the type of car you reserve actually is available in this location's inventory just because you received a reservation confirmation. I received a call after receiving my reservation confirmation informing me that the size/type of car I reserved was actually not available -- in spite of the confirmation -- because the online reservation system is not connected in any way to the local inventory, particularly if your reservation is same day. Fortunately, by the time I arrived, someone had returned a car that fit my needs so everything worked out. When I returned the car, however, the person who checked my rental car back in quickly alleged that I'd somehow done minor damage to the car -- a minor issue that had been present before I received the car. I asked to speak with the manager who resolved the issue. Be careful to really, really check the car you receive out and perhaps even take photos just in case you miss something!!! I should have known this but was having a stressful day when I picked up the car (unexpected car repairs on my own car) and didn't cross my t's and dot my i's.

I've been an Alamo Insider member for many years, a membership that usually provides me the ultimate convenience upon landing--walking straight to my assigned car and heading out on my trip with zero friction, and I reserve my vehicle ahead of time using the Alamo app. While Alamo typically nails this "easy" experience, my recent stop at the Raleigh-Durham airport didn't quite deliver the "easy" experience I've come to expect. Upon landing, the Alamo app indicated I'd still need to visit the counter for a car assignment. RDU still requires travelers to board a shuttle bus for transportation to the rental car lot, but thankfully, the buses run frequently so we didn't wait long. When we arrived at the lot, I was mildly discouraged to see a line snaking out of the office with only one customer service rep on duty. However, kudos to the on-duty manager for quickly recognizing the queue and offering to process several reservations at the adjacent National desk. The customer service rep who helped me was great at getting our trip back on track -- I had my license, credit card, and reservation number ready-to-go and they didn't try to push any "add-ons" like the collision damage waiver or satellite radio, which I appreciated (but am sure that Alamo's corporate overlords at Enterprise Holdings will be disappointed to read). I was, however, somewhat frustrated they didn't have the full-size hybrid sedan I originally requested, especially since I had a lot of driving to do. (At this point, I'm reminded of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry exclaims in exasperation: "You know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to hold the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding!") I was initially assigned a Kia K5 from a lower vehicle class, which showed significant wear and tear and several dings upon inspection. When I returned to the office to request a different vehicle, the rep handled it professionally and quickly found a 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid with less than 3,000 miles on the odometer. The rest of the rental went smoothly -- the nearly new Camry performed perfectly and the drop-off process was a breeze. While it wasn't the "straight to the lot and go" experience I usually enjoy, the staff's hustle, politeness, and willingness to fix the vehicle issue was definitely worthy of a 4-star review.

They could not pick me up at home, so they called a Lyft driver to fetch me from my house. Preston processed me in an efficient manner. Very professional. This is a BUSY place, so don't come in expecting to waited on immediately. Especially if it's 5 PM. They had several cars and SUV's to choose from. Gecio had changed my allotted time, (which i didn't know) and Preston called me to let me know, or otherwise I would have had to pay out of pocket expenses. Could be happier with my experience. !!

Absolutely horrible experience that continues as of today:…read more1. Made reservation on 6/26/26 to pick up a Rogue or equivalent at RDU. Later found out that without my authorization, the third party vendor they use for reservations charged my credit card $237 that day for a prepaid reservation. 2. At Hertz facility at RDU, I was advised they had no Rogues or equivalent so I agreed to take a smaller Kia SUV at a much lower daily rate. 3. After returning car a half day early, the next day I saw Hertz charged me $95 which was in line with the agreed upon reduced daily rate. 4. This is where this turns into fantasy land. I examined my credit card statement to find out Hertz not only charged me the agreed upon $95 but also the $237 from the third party intermediary. When I contacted customer service to dispute the $237 charge I was told the $237 was prepaid so I had to pay it, the $95 I paid was for liability insurance on the car I rented (I NEVER take out auto rental insurance) but as a courtesy they would return the $95 since I had already paid $237. 5. As if this writing, after writing to the President of Hertz, they claim they have no record of my renting the smaller SUV at a reduced daily rate and I'm responsible for the $237 payment even though my reservation was for a larger SUV but as an accommodation, they returned the $95 payment I made. 6. Who would have ever thought that a company like Hertz could either be totally unethical or just completely incompetent.

But it sounded like the insurance company or whomever was trying to blame Enterprise for something and the way that the Enterprise manager stayed completely calm, continued to provide reference numbers and past phone calls and other notes despite whoever was on the other line's rude persistence and escalation. Working in the mental health field, this is so rare, and if the general manager reading this ever wants to become a social worker please let me know, because we need people with patience like you! Also Jaylen, I'm sorry for yelling at you via phone on Tuesday. I was frustrated with the Chapel Hill Blvd Enterprise location (zero out of 5 stars for them). Anyways, great vibes overall.

I was banned when I reasonably got angry after being told to leave( without a car to leave in or any indication I would get one eventually). I guess they are used to people being bullied into taking what they want, not what the customer ordered. After reviewing reviews, I see that banning upset customers is a trend. So is renting your car out to someone else and blaming you somehow. This company is aware and they just don't care. Go elsewhere
