Had to take the vehicle out there again for a problem with the rear hatchback lock mechanism, this was a Monday. Turns out the part failed but two technicians spent about 20 minutes trying to get the hatchback open before deciding they would need to cut out the old part and install a new part. ( No Charge for this help! ). Owner called back to let me know part would be in on Tuesday. Scheduled an appointment to bring the car back first thing Wednesday, and the car was ready by 12 noon. I go to pick the car up around 4 pm, expecting to settle up the bill with the office. The repair shop foreman comes out to assist as the owner who does the billing is out on an errand. Shop foreman does not want to hold me up and he tells me, "Just take the car, we will send you a bill!" Of course, I sent them a check this morning but appreciated that they respected my time. Wonderful, kind customer service by the owner Pat. Finding a tail light lens for a 16 year old car wasn't easy. I ended up finding it on E-Bay and when Pat unwrapped it, the lens was broken. I could not believe my eyes when I went to pick up my BMW 2009 335I after Pat and his crew were done with it. He took a day longer than promised to do the work, but it was well worth it. A series of relatively minor fender benders had left the front right bumper and license plate an unsightly mess. Pat had casually predicted "you won't notice any trace of damage, it will be like new" after he worked on it. This is a great body shop. They repainted a section on my aging van and got the color match spot on! There wasn't a single flaw in the job anywhere. They delivered on what they promised, and had the job finished when they said they would. Wow! I didn't think people like this existed anymore. I showed up after hours and a very nice gentleman put air in my rapidly deflating tire only to discover I'd run over a bolt and the tire was a goner. He told me I wouldn't make it back to Berkeley and then proceeded to retrieve a jack from the garage, drop down to the ground and put on my spare. What a nice guy!
