Within 9 months, my Frigidaire Professional refrigerator developed massive subsurface robotic S-waves and dimples across the doors.The authorized field technician physically inspected the unit and verified the stainless steel skin remains 100% glass-smooth to the touch, formally documenting that structural 'ribbing is forming' from underneath the panel skin. This is an internal manufacturing material failure.Yet, WDC Customer Care just sent me an email hiding behind a ridiculous corporate loophole, claiming this internal structural collapse is 'cosmetic' and only covered for 7 days after delivery. We picked one and purchased it. On the delivery day, the install staff said they required 1 x 110 for the washer and 1 x 220v outlets. Since there is only 1 x 210v, the washer cannot be installed. I called Josh for options while the installers are still on premise. Josh said there is only one small model with 1 required plug and the restocking fee is about 20% to 25% if we return the purchased unit, no other option available/offered/suggested. Although the installers suggested that we could tap a closed by outlet to install a 110v outlet for the washer. Josh just said he will look into the new unit if we decided to exchange it and he will be in the office till 6 PM. This experience really leaves us a bad taste and disappointment to do business with WDC.

Jim explained to me that it's not the retailers job to know the products they sell have recall notice issued by the manufacturer and selling me a product the manufacturer has issued a notice about faulty components is perfectly inline with their business practices.

Because I needed a black refrigerator to match the other appliances in our home, the eariliest they could have a new appliance was too late by 2 weeks. So, I checked appliance stores near me and that is when I discovered Reid's. It was 4th of July weekend, so first thing Monday, I reached out and spoke with Maria. Maira was fantastic and a great help! They did not have a black refrigerator, however, they did have a dark green that I could make work. So I bought the refrigerator and It was delivered Friday. Unfortunatley the refrigerator did not work properly and never cooled down and the freezer never produced any ice. So, Saturday I contacted Reid's and spoke with Omar the manager form Santa Barbara store. Omar and Maria worked with the owner and together they all came up with the PERFECT solution. They offered to come back out to pick up the refrigerator and deliver a loaner refrigerator. On my drive to the store, Maria called and told my husband they had a black refrigerator come in and they could deliver it that day. When I got to the store, Maria showed me several options that could be delivered that same day. I chose the black refrigerator, and Alex delivered it the same day and it's working perfectly! I should have paid closer attention to the Yelp reviews before purchasing from Reid's Appliances…read more I had a choice between Reid's and another retailer for an approximately $11,000 Miele range. After visiting the store and reading positive reviews elsewhere, I chose Reid's. I regret that decision. The red flags started in the showroom. I came prepared knowing which range I wanted, but there was little effort to explain or demonstrate its features. I was simply told the appliances weren't hooked up. Because this range required special accommodations, I spent nearly $3,000 on electrical and plumbing work. A week before installation, Reid's asked me to send photos of the outlet and installation area. I did, and I was told everything was good to go. On installation day, however, the installer initially told me my electrical type was incorrect, I told him it was 240v and Reid's had already reviewed and approved it. The installer tells me has to check. He returned and suddenly told me my gas valve was also incorrect and the range would have to sit about an inch away from the wall. Why wasn't this identified during the first visit or when Reid's reviewed my photos beforehand? So got my plumber correct the gas valve. My plumber showed the me the anti tilte bracket was installed on the dry wall with no anchors, he literally pulled it off the wall. They didn't even install that correctly. I called Reid's because both the installer and salesperson had previously told me the range might need to be re-leveled. Now I was told it "probably" didn't need it. When I asked how to determine whether an $11,000 range was properly leveled, the salesperson's advice was essentially: you can tell if the range looks tilted. No useful guidance, no offer to help, and no concern. The final straw was asking about the anti-tip bracket. I explained that I could not easily move this extremely heavy range myself if I ever needed emergency access to the gas shutoff behind it. The salesperson asked why I would ever need to move it and suggested I could "call a technician." If I smell gas, I'm supposed to call a technician and wait for an appointment? I finally called Miele directly. The difference in customer service was remarkable. Miele listened to my concerns, explained how the range could be disengaged and moved if necessary, and offered to send a Miele technician FREE OF CHARGE to make sure the range was properly leveled. Problems can happen during an installation. That isn't my main complaint. My complaint is that I spent nearly $3,000 preparing for this installation, provided Reid's with photos in advance, was told everything was ready, and then encountered problems that should have been identified beforehand. What made it worse was the complete lack of empathy, ownership, and useful support after the sale. For an approximately $11,000 appliance, I expected much better. I will never purchase from or recommend Reid's Appliances again. Thankfully, Miele provided the customer service that their authorized dealer did not. My advice: pay attention to the negative reviews. I wish I had. Run, don't walk, away from Reid's Appliances.

My daughter said not only did they not speak English (or pretended not to understand), they rushed through the delivery and set up just to hurry and get the hell out of here. I work nights and laundry sometimes gets done after I get home. Imagine my surprise when at 2am the smoke alarm goes off!!! I pulled the dryer from the wall and the hose wasn't connected! My daughter also complained of a gas smell when drying a load. The delivery company, based in the Inland Empire from what I learned, only comes to Lompoc on Thursdays! They would not send someone up here to check on it 'because I was too far away'. I finally got fed up and called Craig. He came out the same day and charged a reasonable service call fee, turns out the gas connection was not done properly, and it was missing a hose clamp-thus the hose coming off! Still shaking my head and will never again order from nor have anything delivered from THAT store!!!
