So My grandparents were in touch with funeral home and said they would cover whatever but wanted 80 percent of his body once cremated (which ex wanted cremation). The funeral home agreed to this. My grandparents paid for 2 viewings, cremation, pendants engraved with ashes (very expensive) They then had the ashes sent from Spokane to Missouri. The urn was opened not even 15 percent of ashes in there. Come to find out gave all the ashes to his ex. Idk if the funeral just said all that and didn't except us to check the ashes received. But I thought it was very terrible of them to conduct business that way. I do not recommend this place. And I suggest everyone check your urn to ensure your getting what your suppose to.

Her great grand parents were buried in Greenwood Memorial Terrace but the graves weren't marked. Kelly from the office looked them up and printed off giant maps. He could have stopped there. But he left a busy office and walked us out to the exact locations. The area where our kin are buried is a "non-endowed" section of the cemetery. They do no maintenance. No upkeep at all. It's like being buried in the woods. It is hauntingly beautiful. No tailored lawns. Primitive elegance. They let families put up their own temporary markers or you can pay to have something permanently placed. It all seemed very reasonable. And Kelly was so great about tromping around with us when there wasn't any payoff. It's exactly the sort of treatment we would all want no matter what our situation.

We found the staff to be empathetic, knowledgeable, patient, and kind in all of our interactions with them. They were also respectful of our wishes and never pressured us to buy a product or package, or upgrade the service we selected. The staff there took care of transporting his body to Spokane, preparing him for our funeral mass, and proactively working with us to ensure all went smoothly. The price was far less expensive than two other quotes given to us by local businesses. Still, the highest standards were set by the staff, nothing looked cheap, and we received personalized service every step of the way. We plan to utilize them again, and will be meeting with them to discuss and prepare for our own services and cremation.

1 STAR My experience…read morewith Ball & Dodd Funeral Home was extremely disappointing and, honestly, heartbreaking. This was my father's funeral--a day my family can never get back--and there were far too many failures for me to overlook. I was never offered funeral programs/booklets, Because of that, guests were confused about the timing. When I asked why I wasn't offered programs, I was told I never brought it up. I shouldn't have to know to ask for something so basic when I'm trusting a funeral home to guide me through the process. The slideshow was another major disappointment. Only about half of the pictures I provided were used, they weren't arranged chronologically, and the editing I was promised wasn't done. The music I selected wasn't played as expected--only one song was played, leaving much of the slideshow silenr. During our service, an office phone rang loudly twice while my family was praying. Nobody answered it. It simply kept ringing. That was incredibly disrespectful during such a solemn moment. Their website also incorrectly stated that no services were being held, and even the decorations were hung sloppily. When I complained afterward, I was told staff had gotten confused because my brother had been coming in frequently with requests. That is not an acceptable explanation for so many things being overlooked. The one bright spot was Kiersten. She was genuinely kind, compassionate, and understanding, and I truly appreciate how she treated me. Unfortunately, she wasn't the person there on the day of my dad's services. My dad deserved better. My family deserved better. We trusted Ball & Dodd with one of the most important and painful days of our lives, and they failed us in ways that cannot be undone.
