Shanks responded quickly to my quote request and was even recommended to me by another company. We had to postpone our job by a few days after booking, but Jon was totally flexible and accommodating. He put in some extra hours each day to try to make up for the lost time, although it still ended up taking an extra couple of days past what we had originally planned. However, it was necessary due to the extent of the work that had to be done, and I'm glad he took the time to do it right. Shanks did an amazing job on our floors. They look brand new and the espresso stain is gorgeous. One entire corner of the living room had to be replaced due to extensive water damage, and now it blends in seamlessly with the rest of the floor. One of our other contractors, who saw the floors both before and after the refinishing, was highly impressed with the result, and so are we! The price was a little bit above the original quoted estimate (and I knew it would be because the original quote didn't include repair time), but it was still well within what I expected to pay based on online estimates I'd looked up. I believe it was very fair considering the extent of the repairs that had to be done and the quality of the finished work. It was an investment, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend this company and I love love LOVE my new floors!

They got to the point in the project that touchups were all that was left and I made the mistake of signing the check. Now they are not returning phone calls or showing up to finish the job. It has been 3 weeks since I was told they would be back the next day to finish touch ups and they have only called back once two weeks ago and said they would get right on the final touch ups. The crew made no attempt to prevent unnecessary damage to plants (some is to be expected). The crew left trash from the window wrap and empty paint buckets around the house. I will be willing to re-evaluate my review if they ever finish my house. I do not recommend this company!
