This place just can't be missed. If you are even remotely close to this place, do yourself a favor and go eat here. The food is amazing, the service is great and the ambiance is very comfortable. I truly believe everything on the menu is a winner. Go try them out!

I went to Tres Amigos before a night out with a large group. We had a single server to cover a group of about 20 but he knocked it out of the park. Food and drinks were all correct and came out in decent time. The menu is huge and food was great, about as good as you'll get for dine in Mexican in Georgetown. I tried their margarita flight with 4 different flavors. It was fun to try but because of the nature of a flight, they melted more quickly than I could drink them so probably wouldn't go for those again. They were a little sweet for my tastes too, though plenty strong enough! Overall, this may be my new go to Mexican when I'm in Georgetown.

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in town, highly surpassing the rest. The super friendly atmosphere the second you walk in really makes you feel like you're entering someone's house after being invited over for dinner. The staff really make you feel like a family member rather than a customer. Our server Maddox was incredible, he made us laugh and feel good about it being our first experience and his recommendations that we ate were the best thing we've eaten in a while! The decor in the building is very minimal while still resembling a Mexican restaurant without being so overpowering. A full bar with great selections and TVs to watch the game make it worth while staying a little bit. Don't even get me started on the food! Everything we have tried since it has opened here in town has been impeccable, it TASTES like it was made with happiness. You know what I mean? Like the food tastes great because the cooks might love doing what they do. We came here instead of one of the other Mexican restaurants and we were not let down from point A to B. Below I attached a picture of my favorite wall in the building. If you love Mexican food you're gonna love Tres Amigos. I guarantee it!!

Walking in, I found myself in the middle of an explosion of color; just like I would expect in this type of restaurant. I was greeted quickly and taken to my table. My server was there immediately after I was seated with chips & salsa, and to take my drink order. I perused the menu and settled on Piñata Blanca. Piñata Blanca is a beef burrito with cheese dip and pico de gallo smothering the top. In addition to the burrito, it comes with a carne con queso bowl which is essentially a small, deep fried, flour street taco shell filled with ground beef and topped with queso and tomatoes. The dish also comes with sides of rice and beans. In typical Mexican restaurant style, my lunch came out of the kitchen quickly and was pipping hot. The dish was flavorful and plentiful. More than I should have eaten. I overate a bit! The chips were very nice. Warm, crispy, and slightly nutty tasting. The salsa was very good. Not to spicy, though I do love spice. Sometimes spicy salsa before a meal deadens your tastebuds for the rest of the meal. When my server, Jorge, brought me my bill, he was apologizing that he didn't visit my table enough to see how I was doing. There wasn't any issue at all in that department and I told him so. Jorge was super friendly, and a great server! Overall, I had a good experience at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant and for only spending $9.53 before tip, it was a great value! If you are ever in the Georgetown, Kentucky area, give Pepe's a visit.

It was nice outside and she wanted to sit outside when she asked the server if we could have a table outside The server had a little bit of an attitude. We were basically taken outside and rushed to immediately order we weren't ready so we asked for some time. When she came back, we went ahead and ordered. She didn't give us much time so we just picked something and ordered. I wasn't too happy with mine. I took a bite and it was kind of awful so I just said it to the side she never came back. We ended up with a man so I'm assuming she went on break or went home which I understand because I was a server for years. My only issue is he grabbed the plate and didn't bother to ask me if I wanted anything else or if everything was OK so I ended up paying for a meal that I didn't even eat . We all felt very rushed. We were there for less than 30 minutes. We had people that were next to us that I had more visits from their server than we did the two that we had. We felt very unwelcome, which was very sad because as I said before, I've had really good experiences here up until this day but one bad experience can make you not want to come back.

As self-proclaimed connoisseurs of Mexican food, we always love trying new spots--and Don Jockey did not disappoint. I ordered one of my favorite dishes, a chorizo fundido. Not only was it delicious, but it arrived at our table in flames! I've ordered fundido in restaurants all over the country, and this was the first time it was served flaming. A fantastic surprise. My wife had the chicken mole enchiladas, and judging by her spotless plate, she loved them just as much. Our dining companions also enjoyed their meals, making it a great experience all around. One thing's for sure: the next time I'm back in Midway, I'll definitely be returning for another flaming fundido!

We were with a couple who are regulars at Don Jockey and we enjoyed cocktails, appetizers and dinner and all was great. 5 stars. Was in Midway last week and earlier this week. Came in for a late dinner as a party of four. Ordered birria tacos (2 orders) and a burrito and some other tacos. Waitress was very good and the food was good, but nothing special. Ordered a very large to-go dinner order a few nights later, and the food was mediocre at best. I understand food is better in a restaurant, fresh onto your plate and table. But it was more than that. The quantities in the to-go orders were small and my fajitas had a teaspoon of guacamole and sour cream. Disappointing. I did not take pictures of any of these meals.
