We chose to eat here because a coworker recommended the restaurant and the lunch buffet. The buffet was large and had no guacamole on cold bar. I ordered the chicken lunch fajitas and they were plentiful and the lunch price was $7.25. I thought the lunch fajita was a good value and really a large portion. The salsa was the tomato based red plain that is at a lot of Mexican restaurants.

Food is ALWAYS piping hot and has decent flavors. The salsa isn't bad either. This Mexican restaurant is so much better than the other Mexican restaurant down the road. I had tilapia over grilled vegetables (zucchini, yellow squash, onions, bell pepper, & tomatoes), with rice and beans on the side. When the waitress came out, our chips were very cold...like they had been sitting out for awhile. But we asked to have them replaced, and she quickly replaced them for it. Our waters were always kept full. Lunch prices during the week aren't too bad. We will continue coming to this restaurant this side of Georgetown.

We were in town and needed some dinner, La Antigua was the choice! This isn't a run of the mill Mexican restaurant and I really appreciate that. Their menu has some items you'd expect and some that are unique which was great. The salsa on the table wasn't the same as every other Mexican restaurant I've been too and it was extremely good. The most notable part of all is that my friend got vegetable fajitas, which I expected to essentially be a plate of zucchini, and she got SO much more than that! Big props to La Antigua for unique (and delicious!) options, especially vegetarian ones!

Great find. Very safe to eat at. Great food even down to the salsa. Had the Hawaiian Fajitas and wife had the salad. Might have been the best Fajitas ever. Very clean and service great.

This is supposed to be guacamole. But I think it's made with mayonnaise. Not right.

According to yelp reviews, this restaurant was supposed to be the best around. If that's true, skip Mexican food today. Maybe Italian tonight? First of all, we were sat right behind the karaoke speakers. Honestly, there is no spot in the restaurant that is immune to the loud speakers. I had to shout my conversation with my dinner guest. Not pleasant. The worst part was the 4 year old girl "singing" Let It Go (Frozen). She could barely sing a word but yelled the chorus parts. Super annoying. The margarita was good, service fast and pleasant. The guacamole we ordered for an app was horrible. I think it was made with mayonnaise and salsa. We sent it back and asked not to be charged. I ordered Carne Asada. It was not skirt steak but rather a cheap (and thin) cut of meat. Maybe round steak. Lots of fat around the edges. And it was covered in green peppers, smothered actually. The meat was over seasoned with salt and the soupy refried beans were under seasoned. Salsa and chips were ok. Water was good.

    Remnants of my meal.

Done deal! Best Mexican food in Georgetown! Huge portions, good price, very nice staff. Well laid out tables and booths are deep. Deep enough you can lean back, or if your a big guy like my boyfriend you can sit comfortably! At 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon there was only one waiter/host/bartender but he was so good you didn't notice. My chips, salsa, beer, and water came very quickly. Chimichanga lover, I tried the chimi Mexicano. One of each beef and chicken served split. The beef, oh wow! Excellent flavor. High quality food all the way today. Only downside was very cheap flatware. Hurt to cut my food because the edges on the fork were sharp. I'll be back again. Skip Pepe's off exit 126 and come here. Worth it.

The food was great! We were pleasantly suprised on our trip to find this place. And I give it a solid 5 stars for food and service. But. . . the kitchy decor with its stereotypical "lazy Mexicans" laying under sombreros was . . . interesting. And we happened in on karaoke night. Which can be cringy to some people. I was going along with it until this guy butchered a Poison song and the emcee says "I had poison once, it gave me diarrhea." That joke was just distasteful in a restaurant. Pun intended.

Walking in, I found myself in the middle of an explosion of color; just like I would expect in this type of restaurant. I was greeted quickly and taken to my table. My server was there immediately after I was seated with chips & salsa, and to take my drink order. I perused the menu and settled on Piñata Blanca. Piñata Blanca is a beef burrito with cheese dip and pico de gallo smothering the top. In addition to the burrito, it comes with a carne con queso bowl which is essentially a small, deep fried, flour street taco shell filled with ground beef and topped with queso and tomatoes. The dish also comes with sides of rice and beans. In typical Mexican restaurant style, my lunch came out of the kitchen quickly and was pipping hot. The dish was flavorful and plentiful. More than I should have eaten. I overate a bit! The chips were very nice. Warm, crispy, and slightly nutty tasting. The salsa was very good. Not to spicy, though I do love spice. Sometimes spicy salsa before a meal deadens your tastebuds for the rest of the meal. When my server, Jorge, brought me my bill, he was apologizing that he didn't visit my table enough to see how I was doing. There wasn't any issue at all in that department and I told him so. Jorge was super friendly, and a great server! Overall, I had a good experience at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant and for only spending $9.53 before tip, it was a great value! If you are ever in the Georgetown, Kentucky area, give Pepe's a visit.

It was nice outside and she wanted to sit outside when she asked the server if we could have a table outside The server had a little bit of an attitude. We were basically taken outside and rushed to immediately order we weren't ready so we asked for some time. When she came back, we went ahead and ordered. She didn't give us much time so we just picked something and ordered. I wasn't too happy with mine. I took a bite and it was kind of awful so I just said it to the side she never came back. We ended up with a man so I'm assuming she went on break or went home which I understand because I was a server for years. My only issue is he grabbed the plate and didn't bother to ask me if I wanted anything else or if everything was OK so I ended up paying for a meal that I didn't even eat . We all felt very rushed. We were there for less than 30 minutes. We had people that were next to us that I had more visits from their server than we did the two that we had. We felt very unwelcome, which was very sad because as I said before, I've had really good experiences here up until this day but one bad experience can make you not want to come back.

My wife had the chicken mole enchiladas, and judging by her spotless plate, she loved them just as much. Our dining companions also enjoyed their meals, making it a great experience all around.
