    Cream Cheese King Cake
    Ghiya A.

Treme Kitchen is a staple in my household! Every holiday we order a little something sweet! For Christmas at home we ordered the Rum Cake Mini's. They were perfectly moist, buttery, with the perfect balance of sweet, salty crunchy and rummy! For my coworkers I always order a couple dozen original pralines as Christmas goodies to accompany my Christmas cards. They are always a hit! My coworkers always remind me weeks before that they'll be looking for their pralines! My personal favorite pralines are the chocolate! For Twelfth Night we ordered a King Cake to bring in Mardi Gras season! Although King Cake is not my favorite dessert in general, I ordered to see how it held up to New Orleans' king cake bakeries. It was 20x better! The icing was soft creamy and the perfect balance of sweetness. The Cake itself was soft and doughy with cream cheese bites throughout. This version is better than what I have had in my years living in New Orleans. 10/10 would recommend!

I tried the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding at Smorgasburg. The Bananas Foster sauce itself was delicious, but I didn't actually get any banana slices which I would have liked. The bread pudding was also really yummy, not too sweet, but maybe a little denser than I'm used to. Still very good and I enjoyed it!

Treme has the best pralines, ice cream and rum cake in the World. Having travelled extensively, Treme's flavor profiles are untouchable from New Orleans to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. The owner is so professional, and a pleasure to do business with. Let the Nawlins' vibes and sweet tooth come to life when you try what ever products they offer. Please share their goods with everyone!

Okay where do I start? You can tell these pralines are just made with love they are literally the perfect treat. They are some of the best pralines I've ever had. They just melt in your mouth. And once you have one. You'll want to have another. The business owner is so sweet & professional. I sent a couple of boxes to my coworkers and they all enjoyed them as well. I've also had her booze gummy bears & those are really good too. Super cute gifts to give to your adult friends and praline lovers. Anyone looking for a taste of New Orleans in Los Angeles should definitely give it a try.

Right now you really miss the simpler times, thanks to Treme Kitchen I don't have to! I saw their posts on Instagram, and just knew I had to try. New Orleans has a fond spot in my heart, and the flavors of their boozy gummy bears and pralines made me feel right back in Nawlins. Love the extra mile of free local drop off delivery, complete with a smile. Will definitely order again, thanks for the much needed comfort!

    Amazing King Cake!

SPECTACULAR! The King Cake from Treme was so delicious and a big crowd-pleaser. But even more than that, the customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. They went above and beyond to make sure I got my cake in time and I'm so glad they did! I will definitely be using them again. Cannot recommend them more highly!

I was pretty disappointed with pricing for the amount I was getting. I purchased the regular pralines, salted caramel pralines and banana foster for $48.00 at the Smorgasburg food market. I'm all for supporting local businesses but it just wasn't worth the price. The banana "pudding" just tasted like regular banana bread. Everything else in comparison at the food market was worth the price for the quantity and flavor you were getting. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping here again. For reference I attached a picture of the banana bread after only having 3 or so small bites

It also sucks because if you want more of the milk topping you have to pay extra, sooo :/ Otherwise, I loved it and I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors!

Only thing was that they have a policy that they will find a table for you when your food is ready. However they are so busy so everyone just kind of finds their own table. My mother sat down on a chair as her knees were hurting and we were next to order. The man who ordered in front of us who didn't even have his food yet asked the worker to move my mom so he could sit since they ordered first even when his food wasn't out so my mom just had to stand when she was in pain which was kind of annoying when our food came out at the same time and there was a table that opened up right next to them. Great desserts but just kinda was upset with how things were handled like maybe could have asked the man to just take the opening seat next to him since an elderly woman was sitting after ordering.

The oldest confectionery shop makes a variety of mochi and manju daily for about $2 a piece. Unfortunately, they don't make the best gifts as they must be eaten within a couple of days. During my last visit, I got a few with strawberry, blueberry and chocolate flavored red bean filling as well as LA Dodgers imprinted pancakes. Chewy goodness! They can get pretty busy during the weekends, but weekdays are a quick in and out process. The staff are patient and helpful in explaining the treats. There's no seating. It's just a grab n go shop.

The historic shop has a charming old-fashioned feel, and the service was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Every mochi tasted incredibly fresh, with a soft, pillowy texture that showcased the craftsmanship behind each handmade piece. **Sho-Mochi: 5/5** One of Fugetsu-Do's signature creations, the Sho-Mochi was a true standout. The vibrant blue mochi was incredibly soft and chewy, while the silky white chocolate ganache filling delivered a rich, creamy sweetness that melted effortlessly on the palate. **Strawberry Anko Mochi: 4/5** The strawberry anko mochi featured a soft, pillowy wrapper filled with a blend of strawberry and smooth white bean paste, then topped with a hazelnut chocolate ganache that added a rich, nutty sweetness. Unfortunately, the strawberry filling tasted somewhat artificial, lacking the fresh, vibrant fruit flavor I was hoping for. **Green Tea Mochi: 5/5** My love for matcha made this an easy standout. Filled with smooth white bean paste infused with matcha, it offered a pleasant balance of earthy, slightly bittersweet notes and subtle sweetness. **Mango Mochi: 5/5** Bursting with natural mango flavor, this mochi was wonderfully refreshing from the very first taste. Its springy chew created a pleasantly airy, satisfying texture, while the gentle sweetness rounded out the bright, fruity notes. Fugetsu-Do has earned its legendary reputation through generations of exceptional craftsmanship. From the incredibly fresh mochi to the diverse selection of handcrafted flavors, every piece reflects the care and tradition that have made this shop a beloved destination for decades. The pictures don't lie. It's got that clean, modern coffee shop aesthetic, but a few quirky touches keep it from feeling like every other minimalist café. There's a photo booth in the back (which I assume explains the name) and a display of sunglasses that I never quite figured out. Also, no bathroom code. Always appreciated. Neither of us usually orders einspanners, but my wife got the vanilla and I ordered the mocha, both iced with oat milk. They were excellent. Creamy and rich and the coffee underneath was tasty even before mixing in the cream. The pastries looked beautiful and artful, although I was hoping for something simple like an almond croissant. The vibe outside on the patio was great. Lots of people working on laptops, plenty of room to settle in, and it felt more like a co-working space than a typical coffee shop. It's also super dog-friendly, has ample parking in its own lot and we even found easy street parking out front. Everything about this place just worked. We'll gladly make the 25-minute drive again.
