11-34t

First, I have owned 4 Trek bikes and purchased one from this store. My disappointment is with a tune of my road bike where the service person swapped my cassette from 11x34 to a 11x30 for no reason. I called the store and the store employee said this was impossible and I couldn't prove it and offered me a $20 coupon so I could buy a new 11-34 cassette, which is ridiculous. I am not going back to this store unless they put an equivalent 11-34 cassette back on my bike without any charges and they can have the other 11-30 cassette back.

Used to do repairs here yearly. Came in on Saturday so my son would have his bike. He waited to ride it once we got home. We did not put that slime in the tire. We avoid that mess by using a liner. They just shot in slime. Not trusting they did anything except that. Won't be going back.

Our beautiful matte black and blue Trek mountain bike that we took home. It happen to be in stock at the store, size L.

This Trek store was our first stop in search for a bike for my husband. We were planning to stop by a few in the area to see what options there are inside the store since I heard most bike stores and online are out of stock now due to SIP and quarantine. We thought it was still called "Livermore Cyclery" here but learned that Trek bought the store out. So there is no more Livermore Cyclery here in Dublin nor Livermore. We came here to look for a bike. The sales guy told us they had one in store inside size L mtn bike so we went in to take a look. He didn't ask about our budget. So he showed us a nice bike that was about $3000+ and it wasn't within our price range. While inside, I then noticed another mountain bike right besides the $3k one he showed us and I asked if it was available. It actually was, and was the right size we need and it was at a very affordable price for $399. We just wanted something basic. Of course the dude was trying to sell us the more $$$ bike...till I discovered other options inside on my own. We took the affordable bike out for a quick test run. Sales dude asked to get my hubby's drivers license before he could take the bike out...um, I guess he didn't trust us? We had the whole family there together, did he really think we gonna ride away that bike?! Either way, another sales guy ended up helping us out 'cos the first one had to go take his break. Well, I am glad because David was a very honest guy, telling us the big differences btw the 2 bikes. Educated us with the details. He was very knowledgeable with his products and gave us his honest opinion. He wasn't just trying to up sell us at all and showed us trust. Well, we ended up buying the bike. Good price, right size, and good customer service from David. So I recommend, if u see a bike in the store that seems to fit you, hurry up and buy it before its gone. Bikes seems to be selling like HOT tamales!? Bike shops are doing SO well these days due to COVID. The stores carried limited number of bikes that are available but they will randomly get shipments. Most bikes inside are road bikes and many are $3000+. And if u want to order, it would take months before u can even get ur bike, they said maybe in December 2020, if so. Overall, we love our new Trek bike. And what's important is that we got better customer service from David who was very friendly and casual, just like a friend, so we had a great experience. He wasn't pushy at all. We will be back here again to shop for more stuff. Highly recommend this place. Just look for an asian man named David. P.S. They had every customer use hand sanitizers at the entrance. Glad they are following safety rules.

These guys rock. I was looking for a hard to get Marlin and ended up calling on the right day as they just received few. David N. made it seamless and did not accept my payment over the phone to reserve it as they wanted to make sure they sized me correctly before I forked out the money. Drove up from SJ, paid and picked up a few days later! Love my bike!

David was more than helpful and ensured that we were able to take home the assembled bike that day.

They refused to order the bike for us in-store. Instead of simply placing the order (like any normal business), they instructed us to go home, send an email, and wait 2-3 business days just to get a response. We were treated as if our business was a burden. The staff implied this was a necessary protocol for the rebate. This is demonstrably false. We immediately drove to another local authorized dealer who also didn't have the bike in stock, but they were able to: 1. Place the order for the sold-out bike immediately in-store. 2. Redeem the rebate code on the spot. 3. Treat us with the attention a paying customer deserves. This shop created unnecessary barriers to using the rebate program, while their competitors made it seamless. The experience felt less like a standard policy and more like a reluctance to support rebate-eligible participants, especially seniors and lower-income customers who are most impacted by email-only barriers and delays. Save yourself the time and the headache. Take your business to a shop that actually wants it.

Eric explained the different pedals I could get, helped me narrow down which one I want, and installed them free of charge. For the fenders, he noted down the size of my wheels and attachment points. Jon did an excellent job and I was very happy to be able to take my bike on long rides, as the original factory seat was way too uncomfortable. Today, I went for some help getting a newly purchased rack mounted because I had no clue how to do it and was stressed out about it. Garrett showed me how to secure the rack, use the pin lock, mount the bike and properly strap it. He made the whole thing seem so easy and was very patient with me. The guys at this shop are very professional and really know what they're doing. Better yet, they seem passionate about cycling and helping others enjoy the sport. I definitely recommend them.

One was behind the cash register. Neither greeted me as they were deep in discussion about something not related to bikes. so as not to interrupt their conversation I perused the bikes for a bit. I was really looking for professional assistance so I approached the young men and again they proceeded chatting and ignored me. I became very frustrated and my wife and I left the shop. We looked to see what else was near and saw that Dublin Cyclery was near. We went there where we received excellent service from Danny (one of the owners). He explained many options including customization. I landed on a perfect bike and it will be at the factory in two weeks. I definitely plan to order through Dublin Cyclery and will be getting my customizations there in shop as well.

I was offered assistance almost instantly after stepping inside. The worker on the floor helped me find what I was looking for and even told me about the differences between two similar products. In fact, a couple different employees checked on me as I browsed the aisles of hiking-related items and camping gear in the store before making my purchase, which I appreciated. However, service at the front counter was a bit slow. I observed the sole employee at the register as she prompted excessive conversation with individuals without regard for other customers waiting in line. This included reciting words to convince customers to join the REI membership for rewards... nope, not when you just added extra unnecessary wait time to my visit while I stood in the purchase line. Besides, the staff on the floor already tried to promote this to me, and I wasn't interested. Eventually another register opened, but at that point I was already leaving. In the end I got what I needed without any complications, and that's what matters most.

Once again the checkout line backed up to the door until finally a second employee showed up to do her job at the register. I assume she was taking laps around the store and finally reached 10,000 steps? Anyway, the employees here seem to hide and they tend to be rude and act bothered if you interrupt their hiding and ask for help. You cannot find them at the register, on the floor, or in the dressing room. Very poorly managed store. Today's experience reminded me that I just have to deal with the drive to the Berkeley store or find another that is properly staffed with helpful employees. Two stars because it's a reasonably well-stocked store, I never have trouble parking, and the location is convenient even if the customer service is not.

I hadn't called ahead but for a simple tire and tune replacement it was an easy visit. It was a tad busy on a Saturday afternoon but everyone was taken care of promptly. He walked me through the Trek Checkpoint's features, took time to answer all my (many) questions, and made the buying process simple and pressure-free. What sealed the deal was that Mike worked with me on price and made sure the Checkpoint was the best fit for my riding style, needs, and budget - he personally helped to adjust the gears, added fresh sealant, and swap the saddle and pedals to my own personal set! I've also stopped by a few times after my purchase to pick up a few things every now and then and each visit I have, I'm met with so much kindness and support from all of the Trek Livermore staff! I was missing exactly one screw for my SPD pedals, and when I asked one of the busy mechanics, they dropped everything and found a replacement screw for free! After 15 years of buying bikes, this is easily one of the best shop experiences I've had. Highly recommend!
