Best breakfast place. Sandwiches are large enough for two people to share. Had the Press sandwich - the brisket was tasty and juicy. The wife had the avocado and bacon egg biscuit sandwich. We couldn't finish either sandwich. Definitely a place to go while in Duck. read more

Coffee was good. But not over the moon. The coffee at Duck Cottage at the Waterfront Shops was better IMO. Service was their biggest downfall. They acted bothered when it took us awhile to order. Also, my daughters invited friends to come down, so they met at the coffee shop. They were full of laughs, and were sternly told to be quiet. My husband and another gentleman were reading and they turned off the lights saying they were closed without warning. They need to train their staff on southern hospitality. read more

Super cute place / location. The biscuits are 5 star, the iced coffee is about a 1 star - hot latte is a better choice. We liked Treehouse a lot better a couple years ago! It's expensive and honestly not worth the price anymore. read more

Adorable and delicious. We got coffee and a chicken apple brie biscuit along with a pice of coffee cake. The interior is everything you would want a place called the Treehouse to look like. Greatly enjoyed my experience! read more

The treehouse is an amazing coffee shop to go to in Duck NC. The prices are a little high, but I would say it is completely worth it. They serve the best breakfast I've had in my life, as well as very good coffee. Their cold brew is made with the classic cold drip Brewer, which makes the taste to perfection. I highly recommend stopping in read more

Stopped in while randomly looking for a brunch spot. As soon as we opened the Yelp app we found this place and once again, Yelp was right on. The staff was incredibly helpful, energetic and cordial. The shrimp and grits were outstanding and among the best I've ever had. The dirty chia latte was dead on. The vibe and decor is perfect for the treehouse setting the surrounds the area and although I'm not typically one to eat outside the environment was perfect. If you're in Duck, I would totally recommend stopping by here for a meal and a drink! read more

This was a great recommendation from others while visiting. Portions are large and can easily be shared. The French toast was fantastic! It's a quaint little place in the shade! read more

A coffee shop that serves up some breakfast, too. How good could it be? Answer? Amazing! When we began planning our trip to the OBX I reached out to my peeps on social media for recommendations. More than a few said to try Treehouse and I'm so happy we did. Coffee: My hubby ordered a cortado and I ordered a maple spice latte. Both were well made and good enough we nearly bought two more for the road. Food: This is the area that I think blew us all away most. Hubby ordered a biscuit with honey, I ordered the avocado toast, and the kids split a chocolate coffee cake and fresh fruit bowl. Absolutely delicious and nothing average about any of our meals! The biscuit was buttery and the avocado toast like nothing we whip up at home (definitely need to step up my game, lol!) The fruit bowl was not your run of the mill grocery store prepackaged variety either and the kids ate it up! Bottom line: A must-visit when in the OBX. You won't be disappointed! Catch you next time, Treehouse! read more

I've been going to duck for 20 years and never found this area behind Scarborough fair. Really cute courtyard with a fountain and really nice shops and also great coffee at treehouse. We got two coffees and an ice tea as well as some French toast and everything was delicious. No complaints and highly recommend the spot to anybody that goes to duck. read more

Located in Scarborough Fare (Note: Duck also has a Scarborough Lane, which is next door), in the main route through Duck, NC, this was a nice find. Coffee was great and basis item for most breakfast orders is a biscuit that is huge. Order from the cashier, pay, get your drinks and your number for your order, sit at a table inside or out and your order is brought to you. Service was a little slow, but the place was packed at 10:30am mid-week. We will be back. read more

I loved my iced chai latte here, but my husband wasn't a huge fan of his iced mocha latte. The space is really cool and they have a good sized menu, not overwhelming but you have enough to choose from. Lots of seating inside and out that is really relaxing to just hang. read more

I understand that you are under staffed due to the pandemic, but 50+ minutes for a breakfast sandwich is way too long. The food is fantastic. The biscuits! The staff has a lot to be desired. Just because you are busy doesn't mean you can be short and rude. read more

Wonderful breakfast and service! The menu didn't offer much detail beyond the basic description of the main dish, but the portions are large! The biscuits and bagels were fantastic. They were short staffed when we went, but our waitress was a hustler for sure. She was so courteous and attentive to everyone in the store. We'll definitely go back! read more

I come here every year I'm in the OBX. I wish it was closer to me and I'd go a few times a week. The creative lattes and iced drinks are inspiring. Paired with a great breakfast menu with help from the Rope Ladder Kitchen next door. (Biscuits are amazing). I decided to post today because the beetroot late was unlike any coffee I've had. It was very good and a perfect after yoga treat! read more

Really rude to demand tips of customers. We ordered 2 bottled Coca-Cola. Providing a bottle opener may or may not be worthy of a tip, but to huff and puff and roll eyes at a customer regardless of a tip is unacceptable. read more

The overall vibe of the place is great, and being there I love. However, the menu was a bit confusing for me, only in the sense of I feel like I'm taking to much time trying to read the menu or taking too long to order. Like I said, a bit confusing read more

Very busy in the morning, took 35 mins from arrival to getting our food but it was worth the wait on an intimidatingly long line. I got an americano with pistachio milk (never saw that as an option before!) and it was ok. I got their special cream biscuit with peaches and pistachio dulce de leche cream and it was soooo good. Very creative menu. The kids egg came with really good quality bacon. The ambience is great, there are some yard games and an adorable children's outdoor library in the courtyard. read more

Treehouse Coffee Co. Is tucked away in a cozy little plaza in Duck. The decor is trendy and the cashier was welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience was not as positive as other reviewers. Our order was sent to the cook incorrectly and, as a result, we had to wait 10 minutes for one of the breakfast sandwiches. Other orders were sent out before the cook corrected ours, making it a frustrating experience. The food itself was mediocre. The Treehouse Toast consists of egg, avocado, and burrata cheese. Mint was found in the sandwich, which made it taste very odd. We're not sure if mint is supposed to be in the sandwich; I'm hoping this was a mistake. We also ordered bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on an English muffin. They were bland. The drinks, however, were great. I highly recommend the Breve and hot cocoa. Both were equally delicious and bumped my review to 2 stars. I will not be returning to Treehouse Coffee Co. After a mistake (made by Treehouse) that wasn't prioritized and dull sandwiches, I'm sure I can find a restaurant will provide a better experience. read more

Breakfast biscuits are awesome! Came back several times to try new items and none of them disappointed. Had the Southern Charm, chicken, and country ham/egg biscuits and all were great. This place can get busy, so getting their early helps. read more

I work across the street and go here at least once a week. Every single week I notice something extra to make the customers happy and the experience better. Examples: a larger menu, ketchup and hot sauce on the table, new staff members. I have literally, as a customer, watched Treehouse develop as a business the past few years. The breakfast and service is excellent. They're always trying and always improving. read more

I had high hopes for this coffee shop. It looks the part and uses the best coffee roasters (Counter Culture and Parlor). I have gone 4 days in a row ordering a Cappuccino each day. The first Cappuccino was good, not bitter and you could taste the highlights of the coffee. The milk was frothed to a decent micro-foam. The next three have progressively been worse, the last being so bitter I couldn't drink it. Two of the days had the same barista. The latter two had another. It is hard to make that bad of a Cappuccino with that good of beans. There were several other issues such as people confused about their drinks and taking the wrong ones. The shop was developed by someone who knows what they are doing, however it severely lacks consistency and solid operational model. Sad as it has so much potential. read more

My wife and 6 kids and I had breakfast. We arrived about 8:45 and had to wait a little over an hour for food to arrive. Food was very good but don't expect service as the boys bringing food out only drop off food and don't ask if you have everything you need also need to get your own silverware before going to find a seat. They had posted a sign saying it would take at least 25 min then after 50 min as kids were getting anxious I went to ask if order was close and they had changed the sign to 40 min and said it was next up - so the sign is a bit deceptive especially for families who may have a harder time being patient for that long. The food was very tasty but would've been better had the wait time been accurately communicated especially when they charge you up front and unless you have cash you pay tip before receiving any service. read more

Great find for breakfast. Biscuits are excellent. Have a good crust and a lot of flavor all to themselves. Paired with tasty combinations, my favorite was the Nashville. Indoor and outdoor seating - fast service and a broad range of coffee options. read more

Have you ever heard of "Pour Over Coffee"? No? Well, neither have I. The process of making it is fascinating. First, you choose your coffee bean. Then they grind it. A coffee filter is placed into this uniquely designed individual mugs with a hole at the bottom. Your freshly ground coffee goes in there and as the hot water is being Poured into that mug, a little coffee pot waits underneath it and collects this delicate, smooth tasting coffee. Now, the cold brew is even more amusing to watch, as the chilled water drips into cylinders of ground coffee and flows through coiled glass and finally into a glass coffee pot like a chemistry lab project. I appreciate the charm and cheerful energy of our barista (Jess) that day who showed us what an excellent coffee is like. read more

While heading through Duck NC on the North Carolina Outer Banks I needed to meet my coffee fix! I had read about the Treehouse Coffee shop but have never stopped. Treehouse is located in a really cool wooded area of duck with many other shops connected by a boardwalk walk path. The atmosphere of this little shop is awesome and really relaxing. As for the coffee... Well they use Counter Culture Roasters out of North Carolina which as far as i'm concerned is one of the best coffee roasters on the East Coast. I ordered a Kenyan Coffee which they were out of so I received a fresh pour over instead. Hey I'll take a pour over any day over a normal cup of coffee. The coffee was great and packed with fruit notes as it should be. Counter Culture does a great job and this little coffeehouse makes it all the better! Overall I think I have found my new favorite coffee house of the Northern Outer Banks. I will be back again for sure if ever in this area of Duck NC. read more

My partner and I were in duck for 5 days and 4 of them we ended up at Treehouse. The honey biscuit is stuff of dreams and the lattes and wonderful! There is a wait but it's worth it and such a pretty location so who cares! We can't wait to go back! Such a great little place!!! read more

Really great coffee, like amazing coffee. Fun outdoor seating that is ample. However the food is really lackluster, including very doughy biscuits that crumble, boring sausage for their sandwiches (That again, crumble), and their price points mimic NYC. Stop by for a coffee but there's better biscuits in the area. read more

Just went there absolutely horrible asked for a bagel wasn't told we get only biscuits I guess!

Have you ever found a coffee shop you wanted to live in? Well Tree House coffee might just be the one. In a fantastic little shopping area lies this hidden coffee wonder. The decor and atmosphere creates the feeling that you are in someones house. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The coffee is good (had an iced coffee) and the pastries are really good too (I had an apple pastry of some type). If you're ever in the area, definitely check it out! read more

The coffee, cappuccino, and apple crumble cake were all okay. Nothing to complain about but not crazy good either. Mostly my complaint is about the ambiance. The place was FILTHY, so dirty my husband and I weren't sure where to sit. There were at least 5 workers standing around doing nothing (not to mention unfriendly as well) as there was no one else in the cafe except one man on a laptop off in a corner. My husband and I don't bar hop like most so we find joy in cute coffee spots sharing a pastry and warm beverage, however we were asked if our order was for in house or takeout, in which we replied for in house. Yet, all of our items were served in takeout containers. I was truly hoping to sip my cappuccino from a mug with my plated crumble cake, however that was not the case and it's just not the same sipping/eating from paper/plastic containers. Why even ask if it were for here or Togo? Not to mention the waste. Lastly, the water cups (which were glass and not paper) were DISGUSTING. Every single one I picked up was sticky around the brim with dust/hair particles on them it was so bad. The drinks and pastry were good, only reason im giving it 3 stars. Otherwise would be none. read more

LOCATION : 4/5- right in town Duck yet off the beaten path just enough. It took a moment to find the restaurant. BUILDING : 5/5 -Clean and well kept. Great vibe and simple ordering. SERVICE: 4/5- the service was adequate. It wasn't outstanding, yet nothing to complain about. FOOD: 5/5- the Biscuits were AMAZING! They reminded me of the homemade kind a grandma would bake. I had the House Hash... simply delicious! I with that would have given me another egg on top or a biscuit to soak up some of the richness but I'm not complaining ! the only minor complaint would be the price point. I got a sausage egg and cheese buiscuit and the house hash for about $25.00 which seems to be more than the one dollar bill sign for the "YELP" price gauge. Over all, I would absolutely come back! read more

We were super excited to try this place out. We had oat milk lattes, the huevos rancheros burrito and a biscuit breakfast sandwich. The food was average, unfortunately our drinks were pretty bad.
