Within a short time, I began experiencing problems with the turf lifting at the seams and edges and nails repeatedly popping completely out of the ground. There have been numerous attempts to address these issues. Initially, the solution was repeatedly to add more nails, sometimes in areas that already had nails. Eventually, another crew came out, pulled sections of the turf back, reworked the material underneath, and re-nailed it. Unfortunately, the same problems continued. During all of the frustrating conversations and attempts to get the problems resolved, I also discovered that Chips Tree & Landscape subcontracted the actual installation to another company. I was not aware when I hired Chips that a separate company would be performing the installation. Because I became concerned about the quality and specifications of the turf that was installed, I requested the exact product specifications for the turf listed on my contract. The documentation I received was a brochure from the subcontractor, but I noticed something very concerning: the name of the turf listed on my contract does not appear to be a product offered by that subcontractor. I searched the subcontractor's website and could not find that turf product listed anywhere. I don't know whether the product was discontinued, an older product, or something that was being sold as leftover inventory, but I believe this is a reasonable question that should have a clear answer. I cannot state that the wrong turf was installed because I don't have the documentation to prove that. However, the turf appears to be a lower-quality product than what I believed I was purchasing, and the repeated problems have certainly made me question both the product and the installation. The recent rain has made the situation even worse. The material underneath the turf is now extremely wet, loose and movable, almost like wet beach sand, and the nails continue to work their way out. I have documented nails approximately 3 inches long that have come completely out of the ground. More recently, a crew member showed me a nail that appeared to be approximately 4 1/2 inches long. That longer nail was not actually installed; it was left behind with only the tip positioned in the turf after the worker became frustrated and left to make a phone call. I have photographs documenting these issues. What is especially frustrating is that this turf is only a few months old and has already required multiple visits and repeated attempts to correct the same problems, yet the turf continues to lift and the nails continue to come out. I regret removing my natural grass and having artificial turf for this project. If you are considering Chips Tree & Landscape, I strongly recommend doing your own due diligence, getting the exact turf manufacturer/product specifications and installation requirements in writing, asking whether the work will be subcontracted, and keeping documentation of everything. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company for artificial turf installation.

We asked for a quote on Friday night and he showed up Saturday morning, armed with an extremely fair quote, and less than an hour and a half later was finished - and the trees look fantastic! Trimmed beautifully as we requested, and all of the waste cleaned up as if it was never there. He was friendly, got the job done and did it right, and made me feel as if his service was a good investment - which is all you can ask for from a service contractor. Plus, our trimmed trees don't look like scraggly, naked trees - they are still full and aesthetic. Just no response. I understand being busy or not wanting a job. A simple "Sorry, I'm not available" takes a few seconds. Repeatedly reading messages from previous customers and simply ignoring them is unprofessional. His original work was good, but that doesn't matter much if you can't get him to respond when you need tree service. I won't be contacting Three Tree Services again.

Prior to the appointment, Andy the owner answered all my questions by text, email, and phone while arranging my appointment as I was having some trouble with the online booking since I had some out of the ordinary scheduling difficulties on my end and needed to talk things out. Afterwards, Dan did a walk around my property and we discussed what might be done on a return visit and when best to trim what. He knows his stuff and cares about doing right by the trees and wouldn't be one of those choppers and whackers that leaves your trees with mutilated limbs. He has been studying for credentialing through the International Society of Arboriculture so he can learn even more. Good men=good company! They got paid the initial cleaning fee of $900 to clean the yard. They dumped the brushes they cut…read moreinto the dumpster I rented from the city. The simple task was to upkeep the yard in the condition it got cleaned to for certain amount. They have been failing to do the job if supervision is not applied. Furthermore, when you ask them why they stopped watering the bushes for example, the answer was to pay them $25 more per visit so they hold the hose for 5 min. They do not upkeep the yard, the trees started to die, too much weed killer as well, perhaps. We never watered those bushes when we lived there, they are native to the desert and never died. The yard grows some weeds, oops, it is $120 more to spray the " extra" weeds. Because they have not being upkeeping or over spraying with weed killer, the bushes and the small trees started to die. I have a dead young palm tree as well. When you tell them to do what you have being paying them for, it is an extra $100 per visit. What have you been doing for the money you get? The bushes and small trees are the only things to maintain. Have you being mowing the rocks? When you do the " cleaning and maintenance trip" and you charge without getting the job done consistently, then ask for extra money to do what you were getting paid for and you did not do, it is a scam. $220 per hour for yard maintenance visit? I'm sorry , it's not BMW dealership service shop.

I called Jason of Bros Tree Care (BTC) because I had admired his crew's work on a neighbor's yard awhile back. Jason answered my call in person and came out at the end of the day to assess my situation. I gave him a long list of needed services. I asked him to straighten and re-stake the toppled mesquite, prune and trim three other large trees, remove an agave, cut out dead branches from a yucca, and shape some bushes. He provided a comprehensive estimate and a total price his competitors could not match. He and his crew of three brothers came out on a boiling hot Saturday and began working with exceptional efficiency, safety, and expertise. It was amazing to watch their coordinated efforts, especially when all four of them pounded huge stakes into my rocky soil to re-secure my fallen mesquite. I thanked them all for their super-human work and wondered how they had the energy to go on to their next job. I am writing this review six weeks after the services provided by BTC. My re-staked fallen tree has survived three wind storms and a torrential microburst (60+ mph). Thanks to practical and artistic pruning cuts, my other trees have leafed out and look better than ever. I know I will need additional yard work, so I will be calling Jason again and recommending BTC to friends and neighbors. BTC merits more than five stars for their achievements. It was accepted by us. They were scheduled to arrive between 0900 and 1100. Ultimately, they showed up at around 3-4pm, after several texts with Nayeli. Once they were on the property, their truck broke down and they did not do the work. They said it was too windy (which is absolutely true). The next day, I texted them to ask if everything was okay with their truck and wanted to reschedule. No response. They responded the following day (2 days after our appointment) stating that some of the palm trees were too tall for them to trim. Here are my issues: *They did not call or notify me that they were going to be late *They did not note on their initial visit that the palm trees were too tall for them to trim (I could have moved on). *Glaring disconnect between the estimator and the office/working crews. Poor business practices. On the upside: Nayeli was very nice via text
