I wanted to redo my front yard with new sod, and tree. I contacted Trujillo Tree Service and talked to Jose. I told him what I wanted, he told me exactly how he was going to do it. I gave him the green light and he scheduled me right away. He brought a crew of 7 and got to work. They removed the old grass and a tree stump with roots. They leveled the ground and installed new, heavy duty water sprinklers. The next day, they placed the sod and planted a small Crape Myrtle tree. His men were very professional. They were careful to not make a mess, and cleaned up after each day. The job took two days. We just installed pavers on our driveway. The guys hosed off all dirt and left the driveway clean as new. Jose really knows his job and has the experience and knowledge to steer you in the right direction to help you with your project. These guys were awesome. I had some untrimmed bushes that was prob worse than an unshaven Neanderthal woman. Called Jose for an estimate to remove the bushes and he showed up the same day as promised. His estimate came in considerably lower than others I received earlier in the week + plus he was able to get the job done the next day. The team did a good job with the work (including shrub trimming, soil clearing and leaf pickup) except for the one fruit tree trim on a tall, maybe 20 ft, tree. Our request during the quote in person and on the day of in person was to trim back from roof 1-2 ft, trim along the fence line, lower the top about 3 ft and take in the sides a little. When the team was done, the tree was nearly out of leaves from being trimmed and thinned inside (we did not ask for thinning). When we screamed "ahhh" and asked why it was so short as well as what we needed to say to not have this happen next time, we received no apology or offer to do better or offer to discount and were told this was 40% off and we should say 25% next time. Good job with all other work, but should make sure to check and ask questions before trimming a tree so drastically. read more
