We needed two large palm trees removed & an olive tree trimmed. Found Gavino Tree Service in The Home Improvement Guide. Ruben, his brother, & their crew were great! Ruben was very responsive, he & his brother polite, both listened to what we wanted, & both were super nice to work with! Gavino was the best priced company out of 3 quotes we received, very accommodating, & they honored their coupon from magazine without any question or issue. When the job was done they made sure we were happy, the crew cleaned up and hauled everything away. I'd definitely recommend using Gavino Tree Service & will be using them from here on out! read more

I found this tree service on Yelp and contacted Ruben for a quote. He seamed quite knowledgeable when he looked at the trees I wanted him to work on. I told him originally to stump grind it but after talking with him he said he would slice them very close to the ground. He assured me this would be done and create a gap between the tree and the fence where it needed to be. We got five trees cut down and several trees trimmed. Three out of the five trees were nicely cut to the ground with smooth cuts. The other two were crudely cut and none of them were cut to my satisfaction. They didn't have the gap between the tree and the fence as discussed nor were they cut to the ground. We had many workers over the days and the main chainsaw cutters were sharpening their saws. I feel if those blades were sharp to begin with they would've done a better job on those specific trees. After not being satisfied Ruben tried to give me all the excuses he had up his sleeve but ultimately the finish product was below average. When the kids come to visit I can't have them run or play near that big tree stump that got cut down because they'll probably trip and fall and hurt themselves. I was hoping they'd do a good job for me to recommend them to others. I guess if your tree's are no more than 12 inches in diameter they'll give a clean cut for you but make sure you're on top of it when they're cleaning up. I had so much sawdust that they were gonna leave behind for me to cleanup but I made them clean it and it's still dirty around that big tree. They picked up their own trash like water bottles and I claimed a reduction because of some damage that occurred on the property. They poured some oil onto the tree to make sure it dies. We will see in a year if any growth comes back. I'm gonna give a shout out to Leo the guy was tasked to cleanup and he tried to remove some wood that was protruding out of the big tree. I told him the hazards I saw if a child tripped and landed on the middle of the stump where a square trunk was sticking up could cause serious injuries and my unhappiness regarding the look and level of the stump. He tried to explain to me he couldn't cut anymore but I got him to remove a little bit of it. read more

Had the Gavino tree crew out to remove some trees, large bushes, and stumps. They did an excellent and thorough job and exceeded our expectations. They took care to look around for potential hazards, (like branches near electrical wires) and cleaned up these areas, included in the price they quoted. They cleaned up after their work, were courteous and professional, and we could not be happier. Thanks to your entire crew, you are doing business like it SHOULD be done. Completely satisfied and will refer to our friends and neighbors!! read more

Great service! I called last minute and they were able to start and complete the job in the same day. I got other estimates from different tree removal companies but Gavino had the best price. The cost for there service extremely reasonable. My tree was very close to my house so I was a bit worried but they were very professional and took the upmost care of my house. Not a single branch dropped in my roof. They cleaned everything up and left my driveway cleaner than how it was. My wife and I are very happy on how everything turned out. Please take a look at the before and after so you can see the results. I highly recommend Gavino tree service. read more

FANTASTIC company!I can't rave enough about Gavino Tree Service and am definitely referring them to everyone I know: they're the best! I had been looking for a tree removal company for a while and kept getting high quotes from other companies--it may have been due to the street I live on or being a "clueless" woman but they were always at LEAST twice as much as what Gavino charged. I'm so lucky to have found this company working on a neighbor's trees; they are exceptional! I asked for a quote and they were honest and thorough reviewing what work I needed and quickly scheduled us. Their hardworking crew are professional and respectful, knocked out the job of removing several LARGE trees & didn't leave any debris . THANK YOU SO MUCH, GAVINO!!! read more
