I found this tree service on Yelp and contacted Ruben for a quote. He seamed quite knowledgeable when he looked at the trees I wanted him to work on. I told him originally to stump grind it but after talking with him he said he would slice them very close to the ground. He assured me this would be done and create a gap between the tree and the fence where it needed to be. We got five trees cut down and several trees trimmed. Three out of the five trees were nicely cut to the ground with smooth cuts. The other two were crudely cut and none of them were cut to my satisfaction. They didn't have the gap between the tree and the fence as discussed nor were they cut to the ground. We had many workers over the days and the main chainsaw cutters were sharpening their saws. I feel if those blades were sharp to begin with they would've done a better job on those specific trees. After not being satisfied Ruben tried to give me all the excuses he had up his sleeve but ultimately the finish product was below average. When the kids come to visit I can't have them run or play near that big tree stump that got cut down because they'll probably trip and fall and hurt themselves. I was hoping they'd do a good job for me to recommend them to others. I guess if your tree's are no more than 12 inches in diameter they'll give a clean cut for you but make sure you're on top of it when they're cleaning up. I had so much sawdust that they were gonna leave behind for me to cleanup but I made them clean it and it's still dirty around that big tree. They picked up their own trash like water bottles and I claimed a reduction because of some damage that occurred on the property. They poured some oil onto the tree to make sure it dies. We will see in a year if any growth comes back. I'm gonna give a shout out to Leo the guy was tasked to cleanup and he tried to remove some wood that was protruding out of the big tree. I told him the hazards I saw if a child tripped and landed on the middle of the stump where a square trunk was sticking up could cause serious injuries and my unhappiness regarding the look and level of the stump. He tried to explain to me he couldn't cut anymore but I got him to remove a little bit of it. read more

Gavino Tree Service recently removed and/or trimmed roughly 20 trees or shrubs in my yard. They did a wonderful job of lacing several of the plants. I had three very large rose bushes that needed to be removed because asparagus fern had invaded them. They were very careful in the removal to prevent further spread of the asparagus fern (which is highly invasive). Also, Gavino was very careful not to damage sprinklers, hard scape, plants and other items in the yard. They did a great job and I will be using them next time I need something done. read more
