I will never again use Tree Awarenes. The crew that came out to trim branches was rude, sarcastic and uncooperative. I asked them nicely to cut one branch off and they refused. when we called Mia at the office, she defended their actions and tried to say the team was "gracious.". They are very poor business people but they take your money quickly. I would not recommend them to anyone I know. read more

After a visit by a very courteous representative and describing how I would like a tree pruned and trimmed so that it would be away from our house, I was sent a proposal and request for deposit. The note indicated that after receiving the deposit, I would hear from them within two weeks. The following week I received a call that they could come right away. I was out of town, but they came anyway and completed the job in my absence. When I returned and complained that the job did not meet my expectations, the customer rep insisted that they followed the letter of the contract and when I checked the box "agree" and sent in my down payment that was the end of it. She did a very effective job of protecting the interest of the company. I realize now that they have 4 subcaterogies of pruning as defined by ANSI-A-300 Pruning Standards which are covered in their Terms and Conditions. My assumption was that I had communicated effectively with a person that would guide me through the implications of the fine print. BIG MISTAKE! read more

After several wind storms that caused havoc in the Woodbury area, I was concerned about two trees in my back yard that were shedding some branches. They are both old and tall, measuring over 35 to 40 feet each. My worries increased after my two next door neighbors had two similar trees taken down by tree service companies that deemed them dead. I was worried that the same was going to happen to my trees so I asked those tree experts to evaluate them. I was told that the one tree needed to come down completely, and the other needed to be reduced to about half its size, especially since it leaned toward fences, sheds and houses. We agreed on prices and scheduled dates. After several months and attempts at contacting them, I saw an ad in the "Clipper" magazine for Tree Awareness. They advertised as being Tree Experts, and not just tree surgeons or Arborists. I wanted to find out if my trees were becoming a danger to my family and property. They came out and evaluated the trees, and explained that the trees had suffered some damage from the storms, but at the same time, had begun the healing process which deemed them healthy and strong. Some pruning of dead branches and weight reduction was the solution. I was called with a date and time, but when the time came I had to cancel due to too much snow piled up from a snow storm that impeded access to my driveway. It was quickly rescheduled and the job was finished by a professional crew that was careful as well as polite. They left the area cleaner than when they first got there. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Tree Awareness for their expertise and professionalism. My mind is at ease now that the work is complete, and that my beautiful trees will continue to provide shade and beauty to my property. I know now why the other tree company never responded. God wanted to save two beautiful, healthy trees! read more

After hiring a supposed professional, a certified Tree Arborist and "treating" my property for two years. I had multiple trees die, so I searched for someone better and found Tree Awareness. I had Rick come out to look at some dying trees and other trees which turned out to be a mix of healthy and not so healthy. He was on time, very polite and professional but most importantly had an unbelievable knowledge of several different species of trees. He spent plenty of time showing me different problems with the trees, some insects attacks, some had fungus, some not planted properly, some not trimmed properly, some needed mulch underneath, etc, etc, etc. I have over 9 acres, dozens of trees and his information was completely priceless to me, and after spending three hours he charged me nothing! (I gave a generous tip) There are items I will hire them for mostly in the future but a lot items he explained what I can do to address them myself. If you want to maintain your trees, shrubs, etc in great condition, look no further, this is the place! Oh, and Rick is a certified Tree Expert, much more knowledgeable then a tree arborist! read more
