DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK! I Had 5 big trees cut down last year in March of 2022. The Arborist named Joe was excellent. He knew everything from the the ages of My trees/what names of the trees/etc/He gave Me His opinion which trees were more important to cut down right away/One had hollowed inside & was in the front near My house/It had already split one time & could split the rest of the way soon if any bad weather comes in the winter. Unfortunately after His guys left My property, My tenant came home after work & noticed a big chunk of tree left in the far right corner of the back yard. Here I had told a friend of Mine what a great job this Company did on My 5 trees & She needed 2 trees done along w/Her neighbor as well so they even hired Big Timber. Melanie in the office was pleasant even though very overworked doing Customers Scheduling, the crews Scheduling, calling the Customers/& just plain answering the phone every minute for Customer questions & She got paid for doing the one job She was hired for but they added the extra 3 jobs for Her to do on top of Her salary job & expected all 4 to be done (doing 4 jobs at a time.) Felt bad for Her after I had chatted w/Her a few times. She told Me Her job is was more & more stressful & hectic & the Owner refuses to hire extra help for Her/So I told Her to squeeze Me in when She could for My trees. But getting back to this chunk of heavy tree left behind from cutting these trees out back in My yard down. Joe said He mentioned to the crew once they were done at My Girlfriends house & Her neighbors place one town over to swing by & get it w/their machine & truck. Well it got very late & they forgot. Ever since it had been forgotten because Melanie went & quit! Yes! Up & quit last year!! What a loss for that company!! I just recently called to pick up from last year to find out when their crew would be in My area & spoke to a Zach who answered the phone. Here He ups & tells Me Joe quit last November as well!! I was flabbergasted! No wonder it was forgotten about! Their "Main Guy" who basically got all of their Tree Jobs for them quit too!! I was wondering why after summer ended last year & the fall season hit w/the foliage dying out back there near the chunk of tree why Joe didn't call Me that His head crew Guy would swing by & take care of it finally. Well: "BECAUSE HE QUIT!" What a "BIG LOSS FOR BIG TIMBER!" Two great working Employees up & Quit since last year. And I was told You will never see the Owner Denney on any job site. So after speaking w/this Young Man who has only been working there for 3 months, He said He will review it with the Owner Denney, & get back to Me. My reply back from the Guy Zach was that: He spoke to the Owner Denney & Denney said since Joe told Me that this chunk of tree in My back yard that was left there that Joe told Me "Verbally" that "He" (Joe) was taking care of it. (Now keep in mind the workers forgot & never made it over there a few times while in the area) Denney says: Now Joe no longer works for the Company any longer. Therefore, Denney the Owner is basically: " Washing His Hands Clean" & is not responsible for what His past employee was supposed to take care of. And that's it! Very Unprofessional Very Unacceptable And this Company is supposed to be Better Business Bureau Credited? I guess that's who I will contact next. All I asked for is to get rid of the chunk of tree His workers left there in the first place! End of discussion. read more

I came home from pennsylvania a month ago at dusk to find a large oa tree had blown down onto my house in a huge rain/wind event from the night before. I didn't even know at first what I was looking at, my house was covered. I called my son and he recommended Big Timber. I called and Denny immediately answered the phone. I told him what happened and that I didn't even know if it was safe to be in the house. He told me he would be at my house in 10 minutes. He arrived immediately and pulled his truck into my driveway with bright lights so we could see what actually had happened. He was reassuring, professional, and assured me he would be back first thing in the morning to remove the tree. He did everything he promised and more. He arrived w a crew and crane. He safely took everything away and left my property in excellent shape. Although my insurance Allstate, has taken forever to issue a check so that I can pay him, he has never hounded me or bothered me for payment. I would recommend Denny to everyone and anyone who is in need of tree maintenance or unfortunately in times of emergency. I wish homeowner's insurance was as efficient as he is. read more

We recently used Big Timber to have some trees removed in our yard. We had gotten 5 quotes total and they came in the cheapest at almost $1000 less than the most expensive quote we. And even then they were willing to come down even a little bit more. Originally we had planned for 5 trees - 2 were massive. But we ended up doing 7 total as they offered to do two more of our trees for a very reasonable price. They were very professional, fast, and friendly. It was even drizzling off and on through out the day and we all took cover under our back porch but they never left and completed the job. Some of the other tree companies we got quoted from told us one of the massive trees in the backyard would take a day on its own, they had both huge trees down basically by noon. They cleaned up after themselves, and grinder the stumps down perfectly. I have already recommended them to others and would use them again in the future! We have no complaints! I can not say enough about Big Timber and Brian who was so gracious. we had a very very large oak tree that was dying and needed to be removed. I called Big Timber and Brian immediately called me back. and came.early the next day with a more than fair estimate. They arrived 2 days later with state of the art equipment and got to work. they had to take a couple panels of fence down and saw my post was cracked. They actually replaced the post. These guys really know what they were doing. they worked so well together and finally got the job done that took about 8 hours. They had a remote control stump grinder and even got some other roots that were protruding. They replaced the fence and cleaned up all shavings. I was extremely pleased with Josh and his crew. I needed very long, and tall tree branches cut and trimmed. The branches were hanging over my fence and into my backyard. I called Big Timber for an estimate and Josh came to discuss the project with me. He gave me a very fair price. After the job was finished there were a few branches not cut back which I thought we discussed durning the estimate. I called Josh and we discussed the misunderstanding and he came back with his crew and personally made sure I was happy with the project. There was no additional charge which I really appreciated. I'd give my experience more than five stars if I could. From the very first phone call to the last, this was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Obtaining an estimate was so easy that the work could be scheduled in just a couple days. We recently used Big Timber to remove three 50 foot pine trees and trim up the remaining trees on our property. The three pines were very close to wires, and in fact, one had wires on both sides. They removed those trees with exact precision. Nothing was damaged and it was done in a very efficient manner. They cleaned up EVERYTHING. The entire team was extremely professional and did exactly what we asked them to do. We had several choices in tree removal companies, and we are so glad we chose Big Timber. If you ever need trees trimmed or cut down I recommend Big Timber Tree Service. I actually found them while looking at Yelp. Many people said they were expert and very fair in their pricing. I reached out to them and the following day someone from Big Timber came over and gave me an estimate on the work I wanted done. I liked the price and scheduled the work. I felt my review was too harsh after speaking with Albert from Big Timber. He helped clear up the issue and reassured me that they normally communicate with the customer and that due to some unforseen circumstances there was some miscommunication between them and me. After speaking with him I didn't feel right leaving a bad review for a fluke in communication. I mainly wanted to say that overall I am very happy with the work they did. There's very little evidence that a tree was there other than the pile if wood chips that was the stump. I will definitely recommend their services to my friends in the area. read more

We were very pleased with the work,service, and winter pricing that this company offered. They removed a huge Oak tree that was right in the middle of our front lawn. The tree was taken down without disturbing much of the lawn. They encouraged us to wait for the slow period in winter as it was not an emergency so that they could offer the winter price, that was 1/2 the amount of another competitor. They also came back to touch up the area when a bit of the root had been missed. They always were available for questions and were always professional. I would definately call them again. Denny, the owner, responded to our Thanksgiving nightmare of a fallen 55 foot pine tree that damaged our home and landed on both cars. By the next day he had a crew at our house that gently extricated our cars from under the heavy foliage and cut a removed the offending pine. His crew were careful in their tasks and left our yard looking like nothing happened. Denny also recommended a roofer to fix our damaged roof too. Big Timber topped and shaped our 30 + foot maple yesterday. THEY WERE PHENOMENAL!! They had a bucket truck, a spider bucket and 7 guys. They were in and out in 3 hours! They cut and shaped it in one cut, were polite and professional, and the cleaned up was excellent. It's hard to tell they were even there!! Wow, we have so many trees on our property that have grown so tall and totally shade our sun-loving gardens. Big Timber came and tood down 4 huge oak trees and 2 sweet gums. I never saw anything so quick and clean! The trees were down and the yard spotless by the time my husband came home from work. You would never know a branch was cut by how clean my yard looks. I highly recommend them. They took out a large locust tree in a very tight spot and they used their climbers to do this (no bucket truck). They showed up when they said they would. The work to take out this locust along with trimming 4 limbs from other locusts and complete clean up took just under 3 hours. They left the area very clean too. In addition the guys were personable and asked if the trimming was to my satisfaction, while they were up in the tree. read more

Due to the ice,snow and wind on Tuesday. We had some of our pine trees lose branches and had one tree come down. Called Big Timber around 515pm and John was on site within 20 minutes gave us a great price.
