I have had mixed results from some other local tree companies and decided to call Cornerstone based on some positive reviews. I called and left a voice mail at 9:45 AM. David called me back at 10AM and said he could be at my house at noon. At exactly noon he and his brother Brian arrived. David looked at the 3 trees that I wanted removed and gave a very competitive price that became even more competitive when he said that stump grinding was included. We then walked the rest of the property and he noticed several large dead branches that we over the area where I split and stack my firewood. We added those to the to do list in addition to another tree that had a large split down the side. At that point we set a date to do the work. That day arrived and David called at 8:30 to let me know that they would arrive at 9:30 which is exactly when they did arrive. David, brother Brian, and 2 helpers immediately got to work. Brian was in the cherry picker, David was grinding stumps, and the 2 helpers kept the downed wood moving into the chipper. They also had a Bobcat that was used to move large logs. I spent the day with them moving some logs that I requested they leave which I am now in the process of splitting for next year's wood supply. At the end of the day the trees were down, the area was cleaned up, including all of the wood chips in the street. Would I recommend them? Absolutely! I really appreciated that they were on time, that they personally came out to do the estimate and then did the work rather than having an estimator look at the work and then send a crew. They were well equipped with a cherry picker, chipper, stump grinder, and Bobcat. The 2 helpers did a great job and were more than happy to put logs and dead branches to the side for my wood pile. And David and Brian are really nice guys who I enjoyed getting to know through the course of the day. Cornerstone will get all of my tree service work from now on. read more

These guys are just awesome. We contacted a few different tree services (did a walk-through with each), Cornerstone stood out from the start. Below are a few of the reasons as to why we chose them, as well as a few reasons why we're so happy that we did. - During our initial walk-through, unlike other vendors, they were very helpful in explaining which tree's would be good - They showed up promptly, on time and as scheduled for both the estimate, and the job itself. - They came out with a team of people/equipment and it was obvious that they knew exactly what they were doing (I didn't think it was possible to clear out as much as they did, all within a single day. We couldn't help but stare out of the windows in shock at how fast they were moving. - Not only did we get the requested service, but the owner also walked around the yard and was explaining a lot of information about our trees, and the upsides/downsides to each etc. It really helped in deciding which ones we ultimately wanted to get rid of. - The price was basically mid-range, now after seeing the way they operate, it's apparent that any competitors with a cheaper price couldn't have been offering the same level of quality that we got with Cornerstone. They also were very transparent with pricing.. they said a fair price, they charged that same fair price.. no hidden upcharges at the end. My son wanted a tree removed from his yard. He was going to tackle it himself but I told him that since I needed tree work done too, why don't I just hire someone and they can do the work for both of us. After looking around and reading reviews I chose Cornerstone Tree Service. They went to my son's house first and my daughter-in-law told me that they were there at nine on the dot. By the time I got there at 10 they were already finished and grinding the stump. They took great care with his lawn and removed every piece of debris. When they came to my house they had to trim up my oak tree which, to be honest, was looking really sad. They also removed a mulberry tree in a very tight space in my backyard. My oak tree looks so beautiful even my neighbor commented on it. It looks so much happier now that it's had a proper trimming. And I don't know how they got that mulberry out because it was growing up against the fence in between two other trees. They did an amazing job and cleaned everything up. This is my first review on any company, but these guys definitely deserve some recognition. We had a mess of a "backyard" and they came in, removed over 10 trees and surrounding brush and did an amazing job with clean up. Throughout the process, Dave was on site and attentive making sure we knew what to expect and that everything was to our expectations. We had several bids for the job and they were by far the most reasonable and worth every penny...and no surprises or additional costs at the end. We still have some work to do to make it a true yard for our family, and this is the team we will be using going forward without a doubt. The workers were polite, efficient, and focused on the job. Dave and Brian are amazing! We have used them three times over the course of the last few years.They are knowledgeable, prompt, responsive, fairly priced, and they do an incredible job. They have top quality equipment and crew, that makes them incredibly efficient and safe. I called Dave to remove 4 large trees, plus a ton of shrubs. Dave scheduled me within 3 days after my call, which was a non-emergency. They always go the extra mile and do little extras, which I deeply appreciate. For the life of me I cannot understand the person who complained about them cancelling. I can only think that this must have occurred during the height of all the storms we had last year, so I would take that review with a grain of salt. I had two pine trees near a fence and leaning toward a neighbor's house and two more between the fence and our shed. Dave, Brian and their guys came out, put down mats to protect underground sprinklers while driving a lift into the side yard, took down the four trees and also ground the stumps. All branches and trunks were chipped and removed. They were quick and did a great job cleaning up. They had to go onto the neighbor's property (with permission) for some of the removal and cleanup. I asked my neighbor how the cleanup was and she said they did a great job. I feel like I received excellent service and a fair price. I will definitely be using them again. read more

Dave, Brian and the entire crew did a great job taking down a 60+ year old oak tree and a 30+ ft redwood tree for us, including grinding down the stumps. Their price was very reasonable and their work was an excellent quality. The oak was less than 6 feet from our sunroom and we had a decorative fence within 5 and 8 feet of the oak on two sides, so they were very careful in how they took the tree down, keeping cut pieces away from the house and fence. I had several white pines leaning toward neighbors property just waiting for the next ice storm. The brothers came out on very cold day completing the pines in a couploe hours. They also did a large maple split into five different directions (and rotting from the inside). A very dangerous tree to work on, but they handled it all professionally, promptly and at a very fair price. Cornerstone Tree Service just finished clearing a bunch of trees from our backyard. Their price was unbelievable compared to some other estimates that we've received, so I was a little nervous, but they exceeded my expectations! All the trees were taken down safely, my yard was left neater than when they arrived and they even trimmed some other trees in the yard free of charge. I have used Cornerstone in the past and was very happy with their prices and work. I noticed a large tree in my side yard was split and was concerned it might fall and hit our neighbor's house.
