We called All the Above to prune some tall hedges. They gave us a price which was basically in line with 2 other quotes. The gentleman was knowledgeable so we went with them. They said they'd be back in a few weeks. 6 weeks later I had to call them. They had my quote but no real answer as to why we were forgotten. The work done was okay. I feel for the money more could have been done. They left cut branches laying in my other bushes which we had to clean up. The lawn was pretty banged up by the machines but I do realize they brought a bucket truck in. Some areas were over trimmed and other areas underdone. Would I call them again? Maybe for a small supervised job. read more

This company is absolutely terrible! If you want someone who will not listen, butcher a tree and do things illegally, then this is the company for you. These guys came to trim the tree on my neighbors side of the fence and I specifically said to NOT cut half the trees foliage off, as well, DO NOT cut the branches directly from the trunk of the tree and THEY DID BOTH! Not only have they made a beautiful old cedar tree look horrible by cutting literally half the foliage off of one side from top to bottom they also broke the law and cut on my side of the property, where the trunk of the tree is physically located in order to do so BREAKING THE LAW. This review is in response to one by user Alicia, who just posted a bad review by this company. I am the neighbor who hired this company to trim back an overgrown tree on our property line. After learning that she has taken to the internet to complain only further supports the reason why we took EXTRA care to make sure her sentimentalities were not infringed upon. I personally spoke to her father, the owner of the property, months ago - making him aware of the tree project, he agreed but said his daughter didn't want the work done, so two weeks before the date of the job I spoke with her directly about the project and she agreed. The company also spoke with her. We could not of done more to make this go smoothly, nothing illegal was done, they cut the tree to the property line, cleaned up perfectly, and did so why navigating the complexities of this situation, should be a 10 star review. read more

I should have known when Eddie showed up for the consultation and soon began telling me that he was a recovering alcoholic. Why tell that to a stranger? Um, hoping she's softhearted and will want to help you by giving you business, perhaps? I later learned he'd done the same thing at the first meeting with another client, so yeah, seems to be his way of getting jobs. Anyway, we agreed that he would remove the lower branches only from several trees in our yard. Looking back, I should have asked him to clarify what "lower branches" meant to him, but shouldn't he, as an experienced professional, have made that clear to me without being asked? His crew showed up one day without warning as I was leaving for work. Now, knowing that my husband is often difficult to reach, I had given him my phone number as well to alert me of the date. He did not use it; maybe he forgot. When I returned home, his team had not removed only the lower tree branches -- they'd gone way, way up these tall trees, so that they now looked like palm trees. That was not what we'd wanted, and Eddie had told me the trees were in good shape, so why do that? That was a year ago. The other day, we had a severe thunderstorm with high winds. And A LOT of tree limbs were blown off our trees. My neighbor, a landscaper, said, "Didn't you get your trees trimmed just last year? You shouldn't have this many downed branches." Yup. I agree. I advise you to spend a little more money and get the job done right. The only positive thing I can say about All of the Above is that the workers who came to my home were polite and they cleaned up after themselves. read more

I hired All the Above to prune our huge Sweet Gum tree. The staff I spoke with arranged for an estimator to stop by to look at our tree and discuss the pruning options. He was professional and knowledgeable. The job was scheduled as promised. The five men who arrived on time on December 1st and quickly got to work. The job they performed like clockwork. Didn't get work done by these guys, but the property opposite of my fence had weeds and trees cleared out for "arial clearance".. didn't have any trouble reaching over my fence and cutting down a 60' cherry tree, and left me with a four foot stump. Called the company, complained politely.. roadman told me he'd correct the situation by at least coming to remover the stump ON MY SIDE OF THE FENCE. The guy has been dodging me for two weeks now. No show. Irresponsible management, and unprofessional work. Will not pay for loss of tree or bother to help my situation. A company that clearly won't own up to their major mistake. Contracted with this tree service back in early spring for tree work. Despite several calls bybne begging for them to come do they work they agreed to do, and promises "they'd get to it," no one ever showed up to do the work to which agreed, and no one gave courtesy of a call to explain delay. This is long, long overdue, but I can't say enough good things about Eddie and the way he runs his business. I got 3 quotes to remove 3 big, dying trees from my yard, plus a little dead cedar near my door. First off, Eddie set himself apart immediately because of his pricing for the 3 big trees. Unlike the other guys who charged extra to remove the mulch, Eddie included that in the pricing because he "hates leaving a mess behind." And his quote, including the mulch removal, was cheap than both the other guys' prices without mulch removal. The other thing that sold me on his guys was that instead of charging me an extra $100 + mulch removal (again) to get rid of the little cedar (we're talking like the size of a Christmas tree), he took out the whole thing - stump grinded and bed combed - completely free of charge. His reasoning? "We're gonna have our equipment out here anyway. It'll take us 2 seconds!" Oh yeah, and he trimmed one of my tall spruces whose branches was creeping up against the house. Yes, also for no extra charge. After all was said and done, the work looked awesome. Eddie had said that he gets business solely by word of mouth, and I can understand why. I couldn't have asked for better - and again, his quote was the cheapest of the 3 that I got. Bonus was that I got to chat with Eddie, and he just seemed like a genuinely good person who cares about doing a good job. So if that's what you're looking for, give Eddie a call.
