I had a 40 foot tall pear tree in my yard that seemed healthy but dropped a few huge branches in a recent storm. I called a tree removal service recommended by a friend. A guy came out and gave me an estimate. He was supposed to call the next day to schedule the removal. He never called, even after I called him again to prod him. I finally checked Yelp and found Santos with his good reviews. He came out quickly, gave a fair estimate, said he could do it the next day. He arrived a little late with his truck and small crew but went right to work and did the whole job in just 3 hours. I had expected a lot of chainsaw noise but they did a lot of cutting with handsaws, using the power tools mostly to cut up and grind the wood. Very impressive work and a great personality. Santos and his guys did an excellent job pruning a large cherry blossom, pine tree & some tree limbs spilling over from a neighbors tree. They didn't use a cherry picker- his guys climbed up and started pruning- incredible. He quoted me a fair price and the deal was done. They came at stated time & cleaned up afterwards. Came did estimate. Gave me card I called back to start service. He said would be there the following week never showed up. Just saw him and went over to yard next store he was servicing to followup asked owner Santos, regarding & he was standoffish. Looking down and said too busy now. Can't do. I asked why he didn't give courtesy of a call back as I would of him or stop by to tell me it's, been two three weeks. He didn't respond. I made him aware I would do a review. They did a wonderful job. I needed multiple overgrown trees trimmed. They responded quickly, came out to assess the work, and quoted a very reasonable price. A couple days later, they arrived and got to work. Everything was trimmed like I wanted and my house and sidewalks are clear of overhanging branches. UNRELIABLE. Several times Santos promised he was coming and NEVER SHOWED. A lot of time wasted waiting for him to arrive and no phone call to explain why. I recently used Santos Tree Service to remove a large mulberry tree from over my house and I was very with craftiness of the workers. They did not have heavy equipment, all they used were a few a ropes, a chain saw and a few clever workers. I stood there and watched in amazement as they removed each branch from over the house and not a single branch fell on the roof or even close to hitting the house. I had several estimates and their price was by far the best. The other compete came out were charging for the use of heavy machinery, and one even said he was unable to do the work because he will need to block off the road, put down plywood because the sidewalk was fairly new and his equipment would be too heavy to put on the sidewalk. I encountered now of those concerns from Santos. He came out on time to give the estimate and communicated through out the entire process from start to finish. I will use them again if I need work done in the future and would highly recommend them. read more

We had a great experience using Santos Tree Services. They responded quickly to our request for a quote and provided the quote on the spot! They also communicated well with us between quoting and scheduling the service. They arrived on time and did a great job ... we had them trim several bushes including a very large burning bush and 2 arborvitae that were as tall as our house. They also removed 2 large shrubs and planted 4 new shrubs in their place. They cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done and were all around very pleasant to deal with. My wife and I would like to provide a review for Santos Tree Service. We have massive trees behind our property that have overgrowth hanging with branches the size of a tree! We have been fearful of these branches falling onto our backyard causing property damage or more importantly, injuring, or killing someone. We reached out to Santos and he immediately responded. He came to our home and completed an assessment of the job and promptly got back to us with a reasonable price. On the day of the tree removal, he arrived with three other workers in their green uniforms and hardhats, and worked tirelessly from 8 AM to 5:30 PM climbing the trees, cutting the massive branches, sawing them into manageable logs, and transporting them (on their backs!) to their truck. They returned the following day for an additional two hours to finish the job. Afterwards they cleaned up our backyard, walkway and sidewalk, leaving everything perfectly intact! We want to mention that from start to finish, they all had such a beautiful spirit, smiling, being mindful, courteous and professional. Had a tree in South Philadelphia prunes with Santos. We needed it done quickly before the sap started rising with Spring on the way and they accommodated us with a reasonable price as well. They were thorough, considerate of the nearby cars and left the sidewalk as clear as it comes in this part of town. The city is happy to plant a tree for you but their pruning schedule is a two year wait. Will be relying on Santos in the future as the tree need it. read more
