They removed my Tree which was one of the biggest trees in Barrington a few years ago

I got 3 estimates and B&B was the most reasonable price for the work I needed done. The other 2 companies were a rip-off and will remain nameless. B&B Mike came out to my home and he was very professional, friendly, and give me a fair price. Chris came out with the working crew and everyone was friendly, professional, worked hard, cleaned up the area, and got the job done within an hour. This was my second time since I've lived in my home attaining this company for tree work. And I have never been disappointed with their service. After having a huge double trunk ash tree removed, the tree service I contracted never came back to finish the job - stump grinding and clean up. I called B&B and they came over that day to give me an estimate. Less than a week later they were at my house, ground the stump and cleaned up all the shavings. Highly recommend! A tree was downed in our yard and spread over into our neighbor's yard. Mike with B&B came out immediately, gave a fair and thorough estimate for removal, and had his crew out within 2 days to clear the debris. They even put up a small, makeshift temporary fence until we can replace the panels to keep our dog and our neighbor's dog separated. Such a disapppointment. We've used B&B several times in the past without incident. However, today they were supposed to come out to cut back a dozen or so very tall pine trees. When the crew got here, my wife was told that the estimate that they gave us was too low and they wouldn't make any money on the job. They were not going to perform the scope of work for the price quoted on their own estimate. There was a crew of about 8 or 9 men and my wife debating the price of the job for which I had already received a written quote. They were trying to get "at least" an additional $1,000.00 from her. Is this the new post-COVID business practice? My wife was outnumbered and frightened at this point and asked them all to leave. She called the office to complain and was told that the owner would call her. She heard a knock on the door and it winds up the person who was trying to shake my wife down for more money, WAS the owner. Sad. His apology was sarcastic and insincere and he told her to try and find someone else to do the work...I will definitely take his advice on that. B&B = Busted & Bullies read more

Very happy with the job. I was a little worried it was a big tree with electrical wires and cable wires running in between . They did a perfect job without a hiccup. A month ago I had a tree removed that was 100 foot high with an 80-foot canopy which shaded 4 neighboring yards with swimming pools, garages, sheds and patio furniture and no room to lower limbs. I interviewed many companies for the job. Due to the liability of the intricately involved removal some companies did not want the job, some never showed up after several calls and some estimates were so high I needed to float a mortgage for the removal. Then there was B&B Tree Service. B&B was very reasonably priced and came out when he was scheduled. From the time I hired B&B, Bob the owner and his employees were nothing but caring and professional. Bob notified the surrounding neighbors informing them of the upcoming removal, getting any permissions he needed to enter their properties and providing them with the policy proof of insurance. Since there was a crane involved, which reached over two properties, he came out the night before to place cones in the street to reserve the space for the crane. The removal took three and a half hours. The crew raked and blew all the involved properties to the property owner's satisfaction. When B&B left the site, there wasn't a branch or leaf to be found. The only evidence of B&B ever being there was, the tree was gone. Please save yourself a lot of time and aggravation, make B&B your first call 856-546-5116. They go above and beyond.
