Didn't get past the phone call--they hung up on me twice after muttering something I couldn't catch. Either the number listed here isn't the right one or this company is no longer interested in new customers. read more

We needed a super tall pine tree removed from our back yard in rittenhouse. Robb came out and gave me a quote. A few days later, my tree was gone! The next week they came back to grind the stump down as scheduled. They left and it was like the tree was never there! I highly recommend his company. They are very reasonably priced, professional and they show up when they say they are going to! read more

First, let me start out by saying if zero stars was an option, I would give this company a" 0 ," for the lady who answered the phone. I had called Grace Tree Company, LLC because of the high reviews and as a business we are looking to have a company we can use to service our properties when we have issues with tree and tree branches collapsing onto our units. Today ( 6/26/20 between 1:30-2pm), a women answered the phone with an attitude and proceeded to mock/repeat my question in a sarcastic tone. That alone gave me all the information I needed to know about the company and that this was not the company we wanted to do business with. I was not shy to say " With how you are talking on the phone, we do not want to do business with you then ended the call." The person answering incoming calls has a huge responsibility and can make or break a companies reputation. Overall very disappointment and will not recommend other businesses to use this company as that alone left a soar taste in my mouth. Do better. read more

I contacted Grace tree company, based on the numerous positive reviews I read on Yelp. In my efforts to locate a reputable and licensed tree cutting service. My Grandmother required 2 front trees trimmed down and a rear yard tree cut off from her property line (neighbor tree). When I scheduled an estimate, Robb was very informative and arrived on time. Despite my late arrival, Robb waited and was very understanding. So 2 months later, I finally scheduled an appointment. He checked in with us periodically during the job to make sure we were satisfied with the work. He handled the job gracefully, even with the unwanted disruptions from the (special) neighbor whom owned the rear tree. My Grandmother and I were very pleased with Robb and his guys. They cleaned up nicely and swept up all of debris left behind. I would recommend Grace Tree company to anyone interested in a professional and respectful team. Phenomenal job and awesome service 5 stars! read more

Robb was responsive and trimmed a huge tree for us that was a potential danger. I would highly recommend his company for anyone looking to get professional tree trimming. read more

Thrilled with the work Robb just did. We had a very hard time finding anyone to service our area (Olde Richmond/Kensington) and called Robb after getting a recommendation from Greensgrow. He was quick and thorough! He's a certifitied arborist and fully insured. read more

After soliciting Facebook recommendations, I went with Grace. Robb came out, provided me what I felt was a fair estimate, and remove a large part of a tree that came down during a storm. I was at work while they were doing the job, but when I returned home the back yard was spotless. You would have never known it was full of tree just hours before. Add to all of that, Robb just seems like a straight up good guy. Very easy to communicate with and a very pleasant and professional person. read more

Met all expectations! In his voice message, he clearly states that Grace Tree Company is booking two months out. I can see why they are so busy. Rob is a total straight-shooter who arrives when he says he will, does the work according to his proposal and charges a very fair price. Beyond that, Robb is a highly personable and knowledgeable arborist. While there are less expensive tree companies out there, they come with headaches (no-shows, up charges, etc.) I can't recommend Grace Tree Company more highly to anyone in the Bux-Mont and Philadelphia areas. read more

Had a tree removal done, and I can pretty much echo all of the great comments that have already been left on here! Good communication, great service, fair prices, and did a great cleanup job. Scheduling ended up taking a little while because they were booked solid---but that's just a testament to how good and in-demand they are! I'd definitely recommend them if you need a tree removal. read more

Brenda M. A large oak dropped a branch on a smaller maple. Then maple dropped branches; some on my neighbor's fence. Robb came out, sent an estimate before end of that day, and was out in 2 days to do the work. Squeezed me into his very busy schedule, as it was somewhat an emergency. His staff was very accommodating, worked quickly, and cleaned up all the debris from the trees. The price was reasonable, and the work was excellent. Grace Tree will be my tree service company in the future. I highly recommend them for any of the services they provide. You will be happy you made that choice. read more

I'm so happy we found Grace Tree company! I had been having a hard time finding someone to trim the tree in front of our home. We live in Port Richmond and no one wanted to come in to the city (even those with city addresses!) A friend suggested a company that gave me 6 months of headaches without ever doing the job. But, then by some miracle (Yelp!) we found Robb and Grace Tree Co. It took 4 days from my first contact with him to completion of the job! The price was more than fair and I love the shape of the tree. Now, I have to wait for Spring and see it bloom! Please don't hesitate to call upon Robb and the Grace Tree Company for all your tree work. read more

My experience with Robb Grace and his crew was excellent from start to finish. He responded to my email within hours, came out for a site review the next day, spent time understanding what I needed done, sent me a quote the next day and the job was completed to my full satisfaction within 2 weeks. The job was done beautifully and affordably and I would not hesitate to recommend Grace Tree Service. You won't be sorry. read more

They did a great job trimming my trees and removing the shrubs . Very nice guy also if I need to get my trees trimmed again I will definitely be calling them back . read more

Robb and his team did an amazing job removing a tree from our back yard. We have a very very narrow alleyway down the side of our house and are yard intersects with 4+ neighbors. They were extremely professional, considerate, and efficient. A huge tree gone in less than three hours and all the sawdust vacuumed up from our yard and the street. Could not recommend highly enough. read more

Robb, Martin, and the crew - I cannot thank you enough for a job well done! I used Grade Tree Co. to remove two Mulberry trees in my small (10x14), Philadelphia backyard that were preventing me from growing anything else and preventing me from using my outdoor space after they dropped their berries. I requested a quote through Yelp and Robb responded within hours to set up an appointment to come take a look at the trees and give me a detailed quote. Robb met me at my house less than a week later - I had asked for him to come out at 5PM so I could leave work 30 minutes early and be there. He arrived at 4:58PM, which was perfect. I walked him through the house to the backyard and showed him the trees. Since they were growing right on the fence line (one was growing through the fence) he asked me about who owned the fence (I did) and whether or not they would be able to gain access to the neighbors' backyards to remove any debris that may end up there during the removals. After about ten minutes of looking and discussing, he told me he would have a quote to me the next day. The next day, at 10AM I had a quote in hand. Based on my research into how much the removal of two trees of that size, his quote seemed very reasonable. We set an appointment for less than two weeks out (the removal was in mid-February). Robb was very responsive to all of my questions throughout the process - responding within hours if not minutes. The day before the crew was to come out, there was a snowstorm. I emailed Robb asking if we should reschedule since I didn't think that they would be able to find space on the block to park the truck (people tend not to move their cars the day after a snowstorm) but he assured me that the crew would be there and would get the work done - they had actually worked during the snowstorm. The crew arrived the next day at 8:30AM to complete the removals. Martin was the lead climbed the tree to actually do the removal. The entire process took less than two hours and they did a great job cleaning up. I would recommend to anyone who needs to have trees removed or pruned in the city to get in contact with Robb at Grace Tree Co. He is a true professional and the teams that work for him do a great job at a reasonable price. Truly a five star company! read more

Five stars not for what Robb Grace did, but for what he did NOT do: I have a tree in my backyard that, while beautiful, drops a rather nasty nut/fruit combo that stains my deck, attracts ants, etc. I had the tree pruned last year and several suckers grew out during the season. I called Grace Tree Company to trim the suckers, afraid that they would produce significant amounts of this nuisance fruit. Robb came out within days and was straightforward: the suckers would not produce fruit for another 3-4 years, and thus no work needed to be done. Robb could have easily recommended work on the tree, and I happily would have paid him. In fact, he could likely have gotten this same work every year, as I am not familiar with this tree and have no idea how long it takes fruit to develop (all I know is that it is a mess when it falls). Instead, he recommended no work - just keep an eye on the tree, and stay in touch. Which I most definitely will do!! read more

I'm in my backyard hammock. Enjoying the fantastic work done by Robb and his crew. My trees were expertly trimmed, topped, thinned and in one case cabled. The end result is amazing. Dead branches gone, more light inside the house but my privacy and shade are intact. I feel very fortunate to have made this choice. Robb listened to what I wanted and delivered. I have greater confidence in the ability of these assets and my house to successfully weather inclement weather. Thanks Robb! read more

He cut down this tree in front of my house. I went with them bc they were cheaper than everyone but the ughhh did an amazing job. Thnx guys!! read more

I have received quotes from and gotten work done by a few different tree services and Grace Tree is by far the most positive experience. I found them on yelp and they will now be my go to people for pruning, tree removal, and other tree needs. The price is fair, they are easy to communicate with, Robb seems to know what he is doing, and he is not daunted by dealing with city situations as is the case with so many suburban based tree services. With the big franchise companies, they have such high worker turnover, and dispatch so many different trucks on any given day, you never really know who is going to show up and what their skill level is. I like that Grace is small and Robb is hands on. It was a real pleasure to work with them. read more

My dad had two trees in his yard that needed to come down. Both of them were overhanging the neighbor's property, and both of them were very challenging to remove. I got three separate bids, each from very highly rated companies. Grace's bid was the lowest by a healthy margin, but more importantly, I had a good gut feeling about them. The reviews here, plus my interactions with Robb via email and over the phone were excellent. As a contractor myself, I know the difference between going through the motions and really taking care of a client, and I got the sense that Robb and his crew were as professional as it gets. I was not at my dad's house the day they took down the trees, but I heard from my dad that they did a really, really good job. He has high standards, and he let me know how impressed he was by their skill, and professionalism. We could not be happier with this company! Highly, highly recommended. read more

Awesome job. Had a 50 foot tall invasive weed tree growing in our back alley behind our South Philly rowhome. Robb and crew came out and made quick work of it - they were on time, diligent, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. Can't recommend enough. Even my neighbors came over to tell me how impressed they were. Thanks again. read more

Grance Tree company is amazing. They arrive promptly and ready to go. The prices are very reasonable.

I received 100% perfect and wonderful service from Robb Grace at Grace Tree Co. This is the kind of guy you wish there were 5 of - one for each service you need at your house! It was really easy to communicate with him as he uses email frequently and answers his phone. He does what he says he'll do, on time, precisely as promised. I asked him to cut back a neighbor's tree that was encroaching on my house. It was a tricky job because there were three yards involved and lots of neighbors to negotiate with. His pricing was fair and reasonable. He did exactly what I asked and stayed within the amount we had agreed upon. The job was done very well and he was able to fit me in right away. I can't recommend him highly enough! 100% ethical, high-quality, locally owned, one-man-show type business. What more could you ask for from your tree guy? read more

I had a great experience with Robb and Grace Tree Co. His crew removed 2 large paper Mulberry trees from my backyard. He arrived exactly on schedule for both the estimate and the removal, which is so appreciated. He was able to work around the space constraints of my tiny backyard, complete with telephone lines and fences. Highly recommended! read more

Grace tree was my 3rd estimate. They were the lowest and most professional to respond. I could not be home to meet in person but Robb immediately sent an email estimate to me. Once I accepted the estimate he was quick to give me a date during a week that worked best for me and when I asked for copies of insurance documents he had them sent via email. On the day Robb came to remove my enormous elm tree it was 93 degrees and high humidity. He was also short 2 workers (which I didn't know until the end) yet they both worked non-stop for 8 1/2 hours. They were very professional and polite during the entire process taking care of where and how the limbs would drop. And they cleaned up all left over debris. You would never know a tree was just removed. I highly recommend Grace Tree Company for any tree service! read more

After contacting Robb about an oversized blue spruce tree that needed to be removed after a major storm, Robb immediately came out on a Sunday to evaluate the tree. Within hours after Robb evaluated the tree, I had my estimate emailed to me. He is professional, prompt with responding, getting the appointment set up and also delivering the service. The tree was removed in no time, and they cleaned up everything! He and his crew are very professional and Grace Tree Company will be my go to tree service. I will highly recommend his service to anyone in need! Thank you so much! read more

Robb was very prompt and professional in responding to my request to remove a limb that had fallen from my tree onto my neighbor's gazebo. He came out to take a look at the situation the next day (a Sunday), and immediately sent an estimate. In the end, my neighbor decided to remove the limb himself. But I will definitely use Grace Tree Company if I need tree work in the future! Thanks, Robb! read more

Awesome service. Robb and his team were super professional, responsive and did a great job removing a large part of a tree that had grown into the yard of our row house in Philly. They had to bring all the debris through the house, and they were so careful to not damage anything, or leave a mess - so, thumbs up for that. They are also reasonably priced, and I would definitely recommend them! read more

Rob Grace was great to work with. We realized that one of our trees had been affected by one of the many nor'easter's and was leaning toward our neighbor's home. From the first phone call to the end of the job, Robb was an absolute pleasure to work with. Robb and his crew cleaned up our big oak tree in our backyard, including moving an enormous decaying limb. In addition, Robb answered a number of questions I had about all the trees on our property so that I could do some basic tree care and maintenance on my own. I appreciate all of your comments. They came out to give me an estimate and I am seriously considering them.

Robb Grace is a great dude. Very easy to work with and get things done quickly and smoothly. His crew is great as well. I met him when he was bidding some tree work for someone I was staying with when I first moved to Philly, while I was looking at houses and I spoke to him a few minutes and got his card. Glad I did, because when I bought my house it needed a lot of tree work. So I gave Robb a call and he came out and looked at it and emailed me a qoute later that evening. The quote was more than fair, and Robb was able to schedule me for a few days later. He and his crew arrived on time, and got the whole job done with in a few hours. I was very impressed with the effeciency of their work and they cleaned up well when they were done. Very pleased with his work and would refer him to anyone needing tree work. read more

I can't say that Grace Tree Company is necessarily bad but I requested service through yelp and didn't hear anything back. Later I called and spoke to Robb.
