The price was right by me and they came out on the date I needed them which was within a week of the estimate. They came out and completed the work at a reasonable time frame and we're very friendly answering questions and taking additional requests. I have a few more trees I need gone next year and I'll be contacting them again.

They were able to access the tree without going on the neighbors property, even though I had the neighbors permission to do so. They did a beautiful job of taking off the offending limbs on my side without destroying the shape of the tree. While they were here on the second job, I mentioned that I felt that my front yard tree could have used a little more removal of the chipping. They promptly went out front and did so. A guy came out and gave me an estimate. He was supposed to call the next day to schedule the removal. He never called, even after I called him again to prod him. I finally checked Yelp and found Santos with his good reviews. He came out quickly, gave a fair estimate, said he could do it the next day. He arrived a little late with his truck and small crew but went right to work and did the whole job in just 3 hours. I had expected a lot of chainsaw noise but they did a lot of cutting with handsaws, using the power tools mostly to cut up and grind the wood. Very impressive work and a great personality. Unlike many in the business, they throw down big mats on your lawn, so their tracked equipment doesn't chew up your grass. They seem to have a unique four-legged pruning platform that travels on treads and can fit in the narrowest of openings --- "I just need three feet [of width]!" their foreman told me --- and it can rise 100'. This equipment leaves an even smaller footprint on your property, unlike a heavy boom truck. Their people are considerate of shaping your trees when pruning, not just hacking. I also had them take out trees and grind the stumps, all done very nicely. Cleanup was commendable. And from the front office to the crews, they are courteous.

There was a fear of it falling on the house or cars. Additionally, they trimmed and pruned three very overgrown Honey Locusts and shaped and pruned our wonderful Red Maple. Initially, they indicated they could come out on Saturday, July 4, but the estimate was ultimately confirmed for Sunday, July 5, between 11:00 am & 12:00 p.m. I was coordinating the appointment on behalf of a loved one. Because the property owner doesn't live at the affected house, they traveled from another part of the city and rearranged their schedule specifically to meet the estimator. We also learned that the neighboring property we initially believed the tree had fallen from is vacant, making it even more important to determine responsibility and move the process forward. Unfortunately, no one arrived for the scheduled appointment, and there was no phone call, text, or Yelp message to let us know they were running late or needed to reschedule. We understand that delays and emergencies happen, but a simple courtesy message would have been appreciated. The lack of communication wasted people's time and delayed addressing a situation affecting multiple properties. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a company that confirms an appointment and then fails to show up or communicate with the customer.
