Whatever you do do not use this tree service! When they were done and I asked the man who said he was in charge if they could blow off my lower roof, the debris . He said would you like me to cut your lawn to ? " he also left the tree fall on my sidewalk and crushed it in . When I called to complain about this I got no return call . Our next door neighbor recently had trees taken down in their yard! So we talked to the boss regarding multiple trees trimmed in ours. Chuck gave us a good price! But trying to pin him down on a time frame all he offered was excuses!!! When they finally came back to grind up the stump in the neighbors yard, There was a lot of debree in our yard that was left there! Chuck seems to have issues dealing with women especially if he is being criticized. His words are, " I will not be disrespected!" So he told me to find someone else to trim our trees!!! I used Wingate's Tree Service last week and I was highly impressed with the company. Adam is friendly and was on time when he came out to do the estimate. The estimate was promptly emailed to me the same day. When the day arrived for the tree removal I was told the crew would arrive around 8:45 to start the job. The guys had the equipment ready to go at 8:45 and immediately started to work. They were highly skilled. I allowed this company access to my property while removing a large tree from my neighbors yard. They left oil spots on my driveway, trash from their lunches all over my backyard and broke the hinges on my fence gate. I left 3 messages and have still not received a return call. Normally I don't leave messages with companies I haven't used but in a situation like this where we were hit by a tornado I think that local companies should respond in an appropriate way. Wingate was contacted called me told me they would come out at 9 AM rescheduled the day before told me they were come out at 3 PM never called never came they never showed up never heard from them. So it's nice to know that a company that is local to Mullica Hill when we got hit with a tornado is not there at all to help you. Every other tree company in the area as well as out of the area had at least the decency to call and say they couldn't make it or they were going to have to reschedule these guys didn't don't use them. First week of July was supposed to remove 3 trees as well as the stumps. Got home from work to find that they did not remove one of the stumps. I contacted Adam who ensured that they would be back within two weeks to remove it but also asked me to leave a check for him under my doormat for him to pick up for the following day. I mistakenly left the check as he requested before he removed the stump because I trusted that he would honor his word. Of course, I never heard from him again despite being more than patient and polite. He Ignored all texts and emails following up. It's October and the stump is still there. Not pushy, didn't slam other companies on why not to use them just a very simple easy process. At first it looked like they did a good job, but a few months later, after we removed the wood chips, we discover that the stump is only partially ground down and the rest of the stump was only cut to the ground level. There were also massive roots (6 in diameter) sticking up above ground level that need to be ground down. If we are to cover the area with soil, these roots would be a tripping hazard. We have called to have them come back and take a look, but no one has bothered to come in two weeks. I would stay away from this company! read more

Recently had some trees I needed taken down. I had several tree companies come out to give us quotes, and ultimately went with Wingate's Tree Service. Their price was comparable to some, better than most. I choose them because they seemed more professional and knew what they were talking about. I like the fact that they use a professional climber and rope everything off, that way there isnt some huge truck in the yard tearing up our grass. They also gave advice on what trees were problem trees and which ones were ok. I liked that they were honest and told me most of our trees were fine, instead of trying to get as much out of us as they could, like other companies did. When the day came, they showed up on time and got right to work. Their team worked hard, fast, and expertly. I was AMAZED at the way they took the larger trees down with precision and without damaging the house or fence a few feet away. The way they cleaned up afterward really set them apart from others and showed how much they care about thier customers. Adam and Zach were both very professional and easy to talk to. Horrible experience! Called and they came out to provide an estimate right away. After agreeing to the estimate, i was told the service would be done in 3-5 days. A week later and the service was still not done. After calling, the gentlemen said he would try to get out there Monday, and if not Monday, then by Wednesday. Both Monday and Wednesday came with no work done. Waited another week ana a half, and after several messages and no calls back we decided to move on to another company. If I could give zero stars i would. If they were honest from the start i would have appreciated and respected that, but don't feed me B.S. and tell me it's a brownie. Worst landscaping and tree company and would never reach out to again! Proceed with caution. read more
