The Marsala dishes (veal and chicken) are done perfectly, as are the Piccata versions. The Spaghetti Bolognese is one of my wife's favorites, which is saying something as we have traveled to Italy several times and this is her preferred Italian dish. Posto Italiano has a wonderful story which I doubt many diners know anything about. The restaurant was founded by Patsy and Kent who were Non-Italian New York transplants. They hired a young man by the name of Mike to manage the restaurant with the understanding that Mike would buy the restaurant when Patsy and Kent wanted to sell. Mike, along with his dad Rich, bought the restaurant a few years ago and brought their Italian family recipes with them. Posto Italiano translates as the "Food of Italy". Rich put a family recipe Pasta Fagioli zuppa (soup) on the menu that is the best I've ever had (it'd more like a thick stew), and my wife loves Mike's mom Shelly's Manicotti. They replaced Patsy's meatballs with Shelly's recipe which are even better. (The one and only negative that I have with the restaurant is that sometimes the meatballs come out hard.) The wait staff are just what you want in an Italian restaurant, warm and friendly and very good at what they do. Now the reason for this review! The other night the special was Grouper Alla Piccata. Absolutely Fantastic. A perfectly cooked nice size piece of Grouper and a Piccata Sauce perfectly balanced to the Grouper, emphasizing the sweetness of the fish. Hopefully this finds a permanent place on the menu. If you've never been to Posto Italiano, give it a try - wonderful food at a very reasonable price. You won't be disappointed.

We were in the area and looking to try something new when found this Italian spot. The location is decent size and has a bar side with seating and then another room that appeared to be dining for all ages. Within walking in we were seated immediately in the bar area and our waiter was over within seconds along with the manager who were both hospitable during our stay. We started off with the warm bread with Parmesan crusts and oil/vinegar. House salads and a Cesar salad with anchovies were next and satisfactory! Next came the garlic/butter muscles that were cooked perfectly with flavor and that sauce was amazing soaking up with mussels and bread! We ordered the lasagna, chicken piccata and gnocchi brown butter with sausage. The dishes were amazing and everyone enjoyed the flavors and freshness. Dessert was cannolis and cheesecake. All in all we def will be back to try more dishes and I will definitely be trying other cheesecake flavors. Everything was made well and had great flavor. This is definitely a spot to check out.

What a perfect excuse to go back and verify that my first experience was no fluke! They impressed again with what could be the best calamari fritti I have ever had. The calamari itself was melt in your mouth tender and the breading was both light and flavorful. The lemon herb aioli? On point! The first time I ate there, I ordered the branzino - which was amazing. Tender, flaky, and mild with the perfect crispiness in the exterior. Everyone who ordered it on this second visit raved about it. For my second visit, I branched out to the carbonara which was as beautiful on the palate as it looked in the bowl. A perfect crunchiness of the pancetta counterbalanced the tenderness of the pasta which was prepared to a perfect al dente. I reviewed a carbonara from a different restaurant earlier this year and now have an apples to apples comparison that heavily favors Vicino. Service was outstanding despite being very busy that evening and the interior had a nice modern chic appearance - if that matters to you. What matters to me is the food and Vicino is now 2 for 2 in providing an experience that will definitely bring me back again!

Oh and 2 of our pizzas were sitting on the expo station under a lamp for 5 minutes until the 3rd was out, by the time it got to the table the cheese was hard and not melty. Makes no sense. Poor timing by the chef and subpar pizza overall. Also got the pesto chicken gnocchi, very oily but the flavor was good. Garlic fries were good, no comments there Overall, will not be back.

We almost just left. 3 pm is not a typical meal time, but I was still surprised nobody was there. I was even more surprised after we dined- this is such a great spot, I expect it to be packed all day! We obviously got good service because we were the only patrons. Our server was very friendly and talked through the menu with us. I had a special- it was a beef sandwich with horseradish. Yummmmm Food was delicious, came out fast, plated nicely. It was clean and bright and decorated well. Modern, pleasing to look at, but not too much. Great bar area. This would be an ideal spot for Happy hour with friends. There were a few flyers for events that looked fun! I hope Harrison's is successful because we both really thought it was a great experience

I figured it would be the ordinary hummus and pita....oh no ma'am. This was pita with marinated meat and the warmest pita on the planet. I enjoyed so much of it I couldn't eat the falafel when it came. I definitely wanna go back cause there's so many things on that menu that I would love to try. Hands-down the best Mediterranean food I've ever had.

The restaurant itself is cute and comfortable, but the outdoor seating is definitely where I'd want to sit again on a nice day. I loved how the seats were arranged: some with booths, some with tables, some with quaint tables, lots of choices, and bar seating, of course. Started with the bruschetta and as stated previously, it is to die for! The bread basket is wonderful and enough to share with your table. We also had the special seafood pasta, the bolognese for two of us, and another special that I cannot remember, which is the worst since her food was the best! The desserts wowzer! Tried the pistachio olive oil cake, the tiramisu, an affogato, and the cannoli with gelato (that was the best of the four, really). Cocktails were also had, and I was so excited that there was a wonderful Amarone by the glass, $39 a glass, but it was very much worth it. In the future, please make sure that servers are trained to score the capsule of the wine so that you are not pouring your wine over the foil. That was not a big deal, but a place that is known for its wine should definitely know how to score the top and pour appropriately. We removed it, but for a $100 bottle and the first pours were through the foil capsule, I was not excited about. I am super excited to give this place another go, as the food was superb! I cannot find my pictures, but just go here, the food was wonderful!

The chips are incredible. She liked her sandwich and said the bread was chewy and delicious. Casarecce is an s-shaped pasta that works well with chunky sauces. This dish was outstanding. Finally, at Chef's suggestion, we ordered the Barnsley chop, a thick double lamb loin chop cut from the saddle featuring two T-bones connected by a single piece of meat. It was cooked to perfection and accompanied by a fava bean puree. One of our number exclaimed that she had never had a better piece of lamb.
