Mead "honey wine," or "drink of the gods" is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey. Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages ever made, as it was consumed as far back as 4,000 years. Interestingly, mead was common across ancient cultures around the world including those in Asia, Europe and Africa. I have never tried mead until I went to the Trazo Meadery. It was a very new and refreshing experience. I ordered every kind of mead available - two flights of eight different types of mead for $14. My thoughts on each flavor: *Wildflower : forgettable *The Mesquite Mead: smoky earthy woody aroma with the taste of smoked apples - My second favorite! *Orange Blossom: Too sweet! BUT this is the most popular mead! *Wildflower on Bourbon Mead - Taste of Vanilla and Oak with a floral aroma and hints of smokiness. Aged in a bourbon oak barrel - my favorite! #1 *Avocado: the least sweetest The Wild Card of the Mead! Very unique and dry! Smokey and a hint of licorice! You either hate it or love it! My third or 4th favorite. I keep changing my mind. *Brazilian Acacia: too sweet *Eucalyptus: too sweet - the sweetest. My least liked of all the meads. *Wildflower On Rum: my third or fourth favorite - smokey and smooth Lee Ann was my server. She was very friendly and helpful. I love the simple decor and local art work displayed on the walls. The Trazo Meadery was a very unique and new experience. I highly recommend this place for people to sample different varieties of mead at a good price.

We decided to come check out this Meadery located in downtown Clarksville. Parking is limited and can be located on the street or the local parking structure. The interesting part of Mead is it taste like wine that is semi sweet with other infused flavors. Some of the meads have a high alcohol content. We ordered 2 flights. The Trazo Mead Flight which samples 5 of their most popular meads and their Premium Flight which samples 3 or their premium meads. My favorite was the Mesquite and the Brazilian Quince. They also have amazing ciders available by the glass. My favorite was the blackberry cider and the apple. It was delicious and refreshing. I could drink these all day. The employees there were incredibly attentive and informative with any questions you may have. Overall, it was a unique and fun experience. I recommend trying the sampler.

I love it here SO much! I can't recommend the flights enough, so many delicious flavors! I also ordered the charcuterie board to share. I really feel like you get so much bang for your buck here. I ended up taking home a bottle of the bourbon mead home because I was so obsessed. Also, customer service is amazing here. I felt so welcome from the moment I stepped in and every employee seemed very eager to assist us

So good! The mead is fantastic and so is the food. Definitely recommend doing a flight so you can decide which bottle to buy- because there is no doubt you will want to! Service was great and so was the atmosphere.

Trazo is another good place to stop in while you're walking around Clarksville's compact downtown. The employees are super cheerful and attentive, and the mead is well-executed as well. They also serve several varieties of cider and an interesting selection of appetizer- or hors d'oeurve -like food items. I can't do a whole glass of cider (too sweet for my tastes), but I definitely enjoyed polishing off a tasting flight!

Really enjoyed this place - a wonderful addition to Clarksville. Stopped in after being downtown for an afternoon event and it did not disappoint. My husband and I sampled all of the flights, to include the cider - all delicious. Added on the charcuterie board to avoid getting tipsy and it was delicious as well. My husband and I shared the small board and it was enough for the both of us. Not a place to go for a meal, but that is not the intent. A great spot for an afternoon stop, or even before/after dinner.

Food was excellent, very fresh and flavorful. The Mead was unique, very much like wine. We will be back to try the house made pound cake!

Fun, unique experience for horse lovers…read more Overall great, but this is a review so I'll start with the good, then get to the "could be better." 1) It's beautifully set up. The barn is clean, pretty, and has special spots for pictures and retail. Music is going and the videos are being played on the tv above the tasting station. 2) locally & woman owned business! Nuff said. 3) greeted by an 8 week old puppy during our visit, which was very fun, more entertaining than the horses IMO. 4) The owner takes the time to learn about what she's giving you to taste and drink, which is nice! 5) Great picture taking opportunities! 6) we had to reschedule because of a family emergency of one of the party members, and the owner was incredibly easy to work with to make sure we could still attend without losing any money or the experience. Customer service was great. Could make a better experience: Price - $60 seemed fair for something unique but then you add on the fees/taxes and it's $74.25 per person, not sure where that additional ~$15 goes but I'd be much more inclined to return if there's a way to pay without the additional fees. (Also, website descriptions say $55 then the price is $60 - fix to match increase.) We definitely thought there would be more to do with the horses. Even if customers can't do something, maybe show off any tricks or special things the horses to make it more about the Equine than the Wine! Overall, if you love horses and are looking for something different to do in Nashville, this is it! M2 has different options between brunch, bourbon, wine, and even olive oil tastings on a beautiful piece of land in Goodlettsville.

Merle, Wyatt and Hank (horses) were our hosts, along with Laura and Maddison. Whiskey sampling, charcuterie, wine and champagne tasting; all with a kick-back, no pressure atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Visited the Natchez Hills tasting room in the Nashville Farmers Market in the heart of Germantown…read moreand it was a great experience. The staff first off was spectacular. We started with a wine flight and took their recommendations on a variety of varietals. The Vin Lamar a Sparkling Chardonnay was my favorite. We paired this with a charcuterie board complete with bread, Prosciutto, Gouda and Brie cheese, grapes, strawberries and honey. Near by was some great live music inside (mostly country). The tasting room also provides to go drinks for guests to walk around the rest of the farmers market. As well as a wine slushy option. Lots of parking on all sides of the building although it does get busy on the weekends.

We'd never had Natchez Hills wine before so we started with two flights. Mine had three whites and a red, and my boyfriend's had two whites, a red, and a rose. We also ordered a large charcuterie board, and it was absolutely delicious - there was a hard and soft cheese, different meats, fruit, and bread. I also tried a red wine slushie and really enjoyed it. The selling point for us was that it was such a positive environment. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The winery is next to live music, which added a really fun element. We've visited other wineries in the Nashville area and found the pricing here to be super reasonable. The Farmer's Market parking lot can get full depending on the time of day, but there's additional parking as you go toward the Sounds Stadium.

She touched on the good and the ugly. I didn't feel like she was "glorifying" anything. It's almost like some people just don't like history. History can be ugly somtimes, news flash. I love historical places and this place was cool! You really feel the energy here. It's pretty cool. The only part that sucks is that you're not allowed to take photos. Prices are good for toure too. It comes with a wine tasting at the end and a couple of them were super tasty! And I don't even like wine.

The tour focused on glorifying the slave owners' "heritage" while minimizing the enslaved people who actually built the wealth and success of this place. That kind of selective storytelling is disrespectful. The wine tasted awful once I realized the truth was being watered down. Seeing people arrive for a wedding on the grounds as we were leaving? Disgusting. Celebrating on land rooted in exploitation, without fully honoring that history, is not romantic. It's erasure. I don't do rewritten history.
