I have no one who can drive with me to drop my car off so I"m at the mercy of waiting in the lobby, which I really hate. However I saw this place across the street from my gym, Fitness 19, and they didn't look very busy. I went over and spoke to the guy about getting the headlight replaced. He quoted me $39. I said that sounded good and told him I was going to take a walk as it was nice out and I'd be back in 30 minutes. So 30 minutes I get back to the shop and he tells me the blinker light is out too and it's a bit more, like $20 more. I said ok, please replace that as well. At this point I'm just wanting to get going and get dinner. After about another 20-25 minutes he says my car is done. I had asked him to have the guys check the tires and see how good they looked as I wanted to make sure I had no problem driving back home to Columbus. He told me my tires looked very good and they would not need anything done to them. As I was driving away I did notice they had taken off my 2008 Virginia inspection tag, something I had requested they do as it is a pain to get off without one of their tools they use to remove them. Thankfully they did remember to remove it. My total cost was $75, which I thought was a bit high but they were very upfront about everything and gave me the option before doing anything so I can't fault them for that. This place seems pretty good, although perhaps you could find a place that's a bit more affordable than here to get a headlight replaced.

They managed to finish the inspection at about 9am with a pass. However, they found a small leak in my power steering fluid hose. He called me and I accepted that they go ahead and order the hose and I'd get it done there. I am very pleased with the service I received and how knowledge Ken was with my car. He also took pictures of the hose and everything surrounding it so hubby could see for himself. Side story: I had taken my vehicle to another shop close to work and they quoted me $700 for the job. They did not explain anything to me and quite frankly I wanted another opinion). I will be coming here from now on! I also like the idea that they are local being 2 minutes down the road from me, and they've been in business for many years and not a big box company.

I explained that I would need to arrive at 9:00 AM, as I required a ride. I arrived at 8:50 AM and was pleasantly greeted by Bryce, the store manager. However, the experience quickly went downhill. At 2:30 PM, I called to check on the status of my car and was informed that it was next in line to go into the bay. When I arrived at 4:15 PM, the car had been moved but was sitting on the side of the building. The receptionist mentioned someone was working on it--though at that time, there were no cars in the service bay. Approximately 10 minutes later, my car was pulled into the bay. It was the only vehicle in there for about 15 minutes, followed by two others. At 5:15 PM, a technician came over and showed me a photo of a bent lug nut, stating that the tire couldn't be reinstalled until the issue was resolved. By this point, I was extremely frustrated. At 6:45 PM, I was informed that my car was finally ready. I was shown the damaged lug nut and told, "I've never seen that before." Frankly, I wasn't interested in explanations at that point. From my perspective, the damage occurred because the technician likely attempted to force the lug nut without first hand-tightening it. What's more disappointing is that, despite the delay and inconvenience, I was simply told my total and wished a good day--no apology, no acknowledgment of the 10-hour wait for what should have been a routine tire replacement. I had driven past three other tire shops to come here--despite colleagues warning me against it--because I've had good service from your location in the past. So I came to this business requesting help and the older female was very short, very rude, and condescending while I explained my situation. Never asked for any information about me or my vehicle just asked that I leave it with no promise to get to it because they were " booked full" to which I could understand. But I could not do such a thing with a child at daycare and a husband at Work. I had no alternative mode of transportation to be sure that I would get my child at the end of his day or get to him in the event of an emergency. My issue is not getting service immediately. I in no way feel entitled to demand same-day service. It was the attitude of the individual that was really offputting for someone who is the face of the business when you walk in. Next, she became very frustrated with what I was explaining, and she said they would not be able to get to my vehicle until Thursday. Which I replied we will be out of town then. She then said something along the lines of I don't even know I can't help you anymore and directed me to the person sitting behind the computer who also said "I don't know either. I just got here." The business had been open for nearly an hour at that point, it was almost 9 AM. The entire interaction was discouraging and borderline demeaning. Additionally, these people don't know who I was they never asked for my name or anything and at this point, I still have not received any email back about scheduling a potential appointment for service. However, they are the Subaru specialist in the area so I had to do what I had to do . I brought my car in for excessive smoking. over the phone Aaron was convinced my car had a vacuum leak . brought the car in , he said they have to charge 150$ to inspect the vehicle so they can see all modifications done to the car, great that's fine. the list of inspection was pretty obvious things such as tires lose air , fender liner is rubbed and no battery tie down etc (things I don't need anyone to tell me) not a problem whatever , then was told it would be over 1k to see if it's the valve seals leaking and then he provided a quote for a rebuilt motor or a new one 6-12k was told not to drive the car is pretty much a bomb ready to blow up . I pick the car up and I sell as is for cheap . come to find out , the PCV valve was bad and needed to be replaced (65$ part) and the car is better than ever with it's new owner . To give the company the benefit of the doubt, the PCV valve is a common (mod) to the wrxs to help with catless smoke .... However 65$ to fix the car VS 6k-12k is a CRAZY difference. It's unfortunate that I had to take a big money loss but I hope my experience can help someone else!!
