Shopping Experience at Nordstrom Racks…read more I am not a shopper! I don't enjoy walking from store to store in search of specific things or gifts, especially during the holidays! I want to walk into no more than three or four stores, get everything I need, and be done with it. That said, I enjoy walking through my favorite stores and checking out the goods without any specific purchase in mind. Sometimes, I find something I wasn't planning to buy, but I realize it could help me or make someone close to me very happy. I know this sounds confusing, but I think you get what I mean! Anyway, Nordstrom Racks is one of the stores I enjoy walking through. They are organized and carry well-known brands, which is not as important to me as it is to many others. This specific location is one of those stores that we visit often, and I have found and bought many items here. The staff has been helpful whenever I needed help, and we've never had any issues shopping here. The prices for certain items may be somewhat higher here than some other comparable stores, but if you do not have the time to go from store to store hoping for a better price, then it is worth it. The only drawback is that the racks can get very messy during busy shopping periods like the holiday season. So, it is always best to visit and get what you need before the crowds rush in and mess things up!

I wandered toward the back of the store and did find a very good deal on a blouse. Same young woman rang me up with no enthusiasm, thank you, or comment when I exclaimed what a good deal I was getting. She was really pretty but also aloof as if she couldn't be bothered. No small talk or appreciation at all for my business. Huge difference from Anthropologie when I shopped later. I dunno - bad day? Or maybe she shouldn't be working in retail.

I walked in explained I did not have my receipt but I should be in the system as I was part of the rewards program. The first assistant could not be bothered what so ever . She half heartedly attempted to enter my email in her system but was unable to find me in her system. She was very rude and basically said she was unable to help me without my receipt . The second assistant was very helpful and willing to help me and work with me and she was able to locate me in the system. She said it would be totally fine for me to exchange the faulty jeans for a new pair in store. After finding a pair that were comfortable she came back to the fitting room and said I could no longer exchange the faulty jeans. They could patch them up for me ! A multi million dollar company is offering a patch up service on faulty jeans. This was the decision from the store manager at this branch who was sadly like a robot. No customer support and just a very lame Attitude to me as the customer. This store is possibly the worst experience I have ever come across in my entire life. To be saying one thing to a customer then only to retract the decision was highly unprofessional and totally sub standard. Madewell in Corte Madera turned out to be a shopping nightmare.

The women who worked there were very sweet and cheerful. I was able to find jeans that fit me for just over $100. Everything was in fashion and they had a variety of clothes to fit different shapes and sizes. I am short. They both went above & beyond to assist us in finding the perfect size and fit, making sure that our shopping experience was both enjoyable and successful. Both Amin and Hayden showed craftsmanship in their hospitality, and how not only took care of us and the other customers perusing and browsing around. After describing what I preferred for style, and the minimalism of outfits, they provided suggestions which show their evident passion for what they're there for, and their keen eyes for style - which made me feel confident in my personal choices. We were there primarily to browse, and to see what they had for the season, in addition, to checking out their clearance/sales from the past seasons. In a world where shopping can sometimes feel like a rushed and impersonal chore, Amin & Hayden made us feel seen, valued, and understood. When I walked in, the one staff member was helping someone. No problem, I needed to peruse through the clothing anyway. After that customer went into the dressing room, I gave the worker a few mins to come over...but she didn't. So, I walked up to her and said, "hi, may I ask you some questions?" She actually looked me up and down and said, "what?" I asked her my question, to which she certainly had limited knowledge of the answer for. I also asked her what style the mannequin's pants were and she didn't know. Okkkkkaaay. You don't wanna look? Cool! I ended up leaving, which was exceptionally disappointing, because I had built my whole trip up north around, stopping at the store. When you walk in the place you get the feeling you've just stepped back into the 60s or 70s all the old posters on the wall advertising the product. And of course you have to pay homage to the two dogs that have been there forever. One of them has always taken a nap under one of the clothes racks the other dog, usually in the middle of the floor. But they're sweet dogs. With extremely high ceilings, he's able to bring in so much product in such a small space. My wife and I wouldn't go anywhere else. He's a charming gentleman and always has great story to spend when you come in. And he knows his product. It's amazing that he can actually look at a person and tell them what their waist and in the same as just by a glance. He always has a smile on his face and he remembers his customers. I can't recommend this place highly enough because it's just a pleasure to do somebody that is embraced what he does for a living and enjoys it and shows up to work with a smile every day. Well done.
