I wandered toward the back of the store and did find a very good deal on a blouse. Same young woman rang me up with no enthusiasm, thank you, or comment when I exclaimed what a good deal I was getting. She was really pretty but also aloof as if she couldn't be bothered. No small talk or appreciation at all for my business. Huge difference from Anthropologie when I shopped later. I dunno - bad day? Or maybe she shouldn't be working in retail.

I walked in explained I did not have my receipt but I should be in the system as I was part of the rewards program. The first assistant could not be bothered what so ever . She half heartedly attempted to enter my email in her system but was unable to find me in her system. She was very rude and basically said she was unable to help me without my receipt . The second assistant was very helpful and willing to help me and work with me and she was able to locate me in the system. She said it would be totally fine for me to exchange the faulty jeans for a new pair in store. After finding a pair that were comfortable she came back to the fitting room and said I could no longer exchange the faulty jeans. They could patch them up for me ! A multi million dollar company is offering a patch up service on faulty jeans. This was the decision from the store manager at this branch who was sadly like a robot. No customer support and just a very lame Attitude to me as the customer. This store is possibly the worst experience I have ever come across in my entire life. To be saying one thing to a customer then only to retract the decision was highly unprofessional and totally sub standard. Madewell in Corte Madera turned out to be a shopping nightmare.

They each had a yellowish white spot near the shoulder. At first we were offered 40% discount on FUTURE purchases. After talking with the Manager of customer service we were given an additional 20% off the purchase of these shirts. I had purchased these off the internet with an initiall 20%, so yes, her total offer was 40% off. My friend kept his shirt, as it was dark colored and his wife thought she might be able to get the grease out. If she could not, it was near the bottom and he could tuck the shirt in. My husband's shirt was lighter color and I did not want to attempt to get a grease spot out of a $100.00 shirt, so it was returned. Sadly, both men loved the beautiful shirts and they fit well. But I could not wrap my head around both shirts being stained in near the same spots. The only thing that comes to mind is that they may have been stained in the packing process. ie, was a machine recently oiled, etc. Not happy with the way the claim was initially handled, why would I want 40% off a Future order, I highly doubt there will be any future orders.

I was hoping to find a specific pair of Skechers I had seen online so I could try them on and, if they fit well, purchase them at the same price or lower. When we arrived, I happened to run into a store associate and asked if they carried Skechers. She kindly walked me to the section where they were located and mentioned that they might have a few pairs in their Clearance section at the back of the store. While they did not have the pair I was looking for, I found several other brands, such as Cole Haan and Florsheim, that caught my attention, so I decided to try them on. In the end, we did not make any purchases this time, but we plan to return in a few weeks to see what they have then.

I received some bras that were fine and this outdoor jacket for 23 dollars that didn't fit right. At this point I engaged in a roughly 1.5 month struggle that time added up I probably spent 8-10 of the hours I usually earn 80 dollars for each one worked to try to return a 23 dollar jacket. I was sent a QR code. The customer service person said to bring it to USPS. I brought it there. They said no. I forgot about it and some time went by. I tried again at UPS and it wasn't the right UPS. Sad and demoralized, i gave up for a while and tried again. The code was out of date. I call customer servIce repeatedly and there were 200 - 250 ppl ahead of me?!?! I opt to hang up and get a call back and nobody calls back. I finally got a hold of a human again. She said she would extend the code . She sent me a new one. I went to the "Happy Retirns" location, how ironic.. it didn't work again the same day she updated it and emailed me the updated code?!?! I gave up and am looking for someone to give the jacket away too so I don't have to look at it anymore.
