I decided to try this business based on the positive Yelp reviews. While it's important to me to…read moresupport small businesses, I was also tired of the long wait times at the more well-known alteration shops. As others had mentioned, Teresa was easy to reach by text and very friendly. Her pricing was also reasonable ($15 for shortening pants, for reference). The turnaround time for taking in a pair of pants and taking in the sleeves of a dress was only 1 week. The location on Bible Way was a bit hard to find at first. Note that she is now in suite 40, not 22. Also, don't expect a fancy store front or anything of that sort. It's a small and barebones operation, but there's ample room for getting fitted and trying on your garments after the alterations. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was a minor mix up when I went to pick up my items. I showed up at the time she noted on my receipt but she was not there. However, we texted to arrange a different pick up time and that went smoothly. I'd suggest texting to confirm before heading down for pick up since she's not always at the shop. Overall, though, the quality is good for the price, and I'd happily use Salas Alterations again in the future.

Salas Alterations has moved to another location not too far where it was. 1000 Bible Way Suite 22…read more It's maybe a quarter mile from the old location. The new shop is located inside the courtyard of the building. I've been using Salas Alterations for years. She's always done a great job at a reasonable price. Quick turnaround time also. I've had numerous pants hemmed and even a leather jacket. You can't even tell it's been altered/ hemmed. I'm glad she didn't close up business as it's hard to find a good seamstress.

We bought a brand new dog bed and our puppy chewed on the zipper the first day we got it. We spent…read morea lot of money on it so I took it to Bobby Page for a repair. I spoke with the person at the door and told them exactly what happened and what I wanted. They said it would be no problem. I wanted the zipper fixed but no cleaning since it was literally right out of the package. After two weeks it was returned with a note that said "No instructions from the customer"!! But wait - that is not even the worst part!!! They charged me $55 to clean a brand new bed that had never been slept on. The note said it was heavily soiled!! I can't even begin to understand how they could have handled this so poorly!! We have been long time customers but it is time to find a competent, reliable dry cleaner.

*** I am amending my review as I was contacted by management that I was in fact overcharged for…read moreservices and the correction has been made. This was exceptionally professional and really a class act on manager Amy's part. This very simple but much appreciated correction will now encourage me to become a repeat customer and encourage others to use their services. I respect the time of their employees and at no time was the service ever poor, pricing just seemed off. Let me start by saying the staff is very nice and the seamstress was lovely but talk about price gauging. It's really bad. I took a very basic black cocktail dress to have literally 2 inches removed from each should strap then resewn. That was it. No hemming, nothing major and I was charged $62.00. I know that nothing is cheap any more but this was such an overcharge. I was convinced they mixed up my charge with someone else's. When I called the woman rambled on about everyone on staff is a master tailor (I doubt that) and then said something really odd - that is also was based on the designer of the dress? My dress was from the Lulu brand - I paid less than $100 for it. I didn't have the energy to argue with her but be warned - their prices are outrageous
