This place was so good, I went two nights in a row! August was our server, gave excellent advice on the menu - ask for him! Everything I tasted was absolutely fantastic. I had grilled octopus, two different salads, and the special Wednesday night small plate of a chicken liver and foie gras pate cannoli! I will be going back!

Nice painting hanging in our table. The painting showed harvesting the olives from the tree, the old fashioned way.

The foods were all on point and the server was amazing, ask for Kent. The fruitii di mare was very good and flavorful. My wife had Nonna's bolandaise sauce made with sausage. The breads they serve are made on sight, across the street. We made reservations 2 1/2 months ago, as this was an anniversary dinner for us. They did not have our special day listed and no fanfare, not even congrats on 35 years together.

Service excellent. Osso Buco as well. Bartender was a hoot for some after dinner drinks. Only knock was my squash soup otherwise it would have been a 5. No flavor.

My review of Trattoria Stefano: Often, when you return to a place cloaked in fond memories of nostalgia, it lets you down. It's like seeing an old flame thirty years later, and you question the original infatuation. Well, Stefano's stirred my passions as if 15 years meant not a thing. After strolling Sheboygan's beautiful revitalized waterfront, we drove to Stefano's, parking in their rear lot. The restaurant looked the same, and we found two empty seats at the large front room bar. Ashley, behind the bar, was gracious and helpful, and we ordered wine from Stefano's eclectic offerings. While not as groundbreaking as 20 years ago, the wine list is still interesting and has reasonable pricing. We ordered Caesar salad, two pastas, the stuffed veal chop, a sausage dish, and the Tiramisu. The Caesar was fantastic and unique, with a sublime crunchy taste. That alone was worth the price of admission, but the veal chop was a stunning crescendo, maybe the best I ever had. Pastas were as good as I remembered. The ragu was simply delicious. My spouse thought her sausage dish was okay but nothing special. Tiramisu was ordered to go back with us to Milwaukee. Later, the restaurant was so packed on a Tuesday night that Ashley left to help out in the kitchen. Greg aptly took over, and the service did not miss a beat. The one discordant note was when I asked to tip the kitchen staff. Ashley led me to the kitchen, and I passed over a $20.00 and received nary a smile or thank you. Perhaps they were too exhausted. However, it was a wonderful evening, and hopefully, it will be repeated soon. Oh, the pricing was very reasonable.

Pretty good find in Sheboygan! Good delicious food. Service was quick, friendly, easy. We did have some mishaps with orders, things came out earlier than they should've and we had to wait quite some time to get orders, get dessert, get boxes, etc. Romantic environment, by no means quiet. Street parking. They prefer reservations but we sat in loft and there were about 3-4 tables empty the whole time for a Thursday evening. Food was good. Not overly salted like some places can be. Good size portions. Our son got the buttered pasta and it was very good and cooked perfectly. I got the ribeye and it was such a large portion, did take it home and enjoyed it the next day. Got the pistachio cheesecake and it was full of pistachios, like actually tasted how I wanted it to. Very enjoyable overall. We will be back, happy eating!

We came in for dinner to Trattoria Stefano on a recommendation from our hotel (The American Club in Kohler) while visiting Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I was blown away by the food and top-notch service we received. This is an upscale Italian restaurant with a small dining room, which makes for a very private and personalized experience. While waiting to be seated, their entry way is lined with their accomplishments; including that their chef was nominated for a James Beard Award. This heightened our excitement even before we began our meal. Our server was outstanding...his knowledge of the restaurant's history and menu truly made the whole experience. He really took his time explaining every part of the menu and specials. You could tell he had passion for his job. Love, love to see it!! It was incredibly difficult to settle on what to try, but I had the Casarecce Della Nonna & it was Chef's Kiss!! After dinner we walked down the street to the River Walk to view the water and boats. Perfect date night spot! Highly recommend to anyone visiting this area!

Went here with family over the Thanksgiving holiday. I ordered the Ravioli di Marcelli. Definitely my go to order due to its creaminess and rich flavor. It never disappoints and recommend for any cheese lover. My mom ordered the Osso Bucco Milanese - savory savory savory. She enjoyed the pairing of veal shanks with the creamy risotto. Warm ambiance, and knowledgeable wait staff. Our server was especially helpful walking us through their robust wine list. A culinary experience for those wanting fine dining.

Sooo creatively constructed menu! Meatballs with mortadella and prosciutto! Who does that? It was delicious. Fresh pasta Delle Nonna. Wow! Carpaccio so fresh with arugula. And lemon cheesecake done light and right. Service could not have been better. Perfect atmosphere with soft jazz music set the mood.

The most amazing Carpaccio in the world!!!!

However, the fact they do full pies and have stellar reviews meant I had to try them. I wasn't so sure after my first experience as again it's not necessarily the style of pizza I default too. That said it was good enough and very fresh and well prepared. So I gave it a few other tries and I'm now a big fan. For context, I only do cheese or cheese and sausage and will sometimes do extra cheese. Their cheese pie is excellent. I don't think extra cheese is necessary, but I've done it and it's also excellent. The sausage isn't the style that I normally prefer, the sliced sausage, but it too is very good. I tend to go cheese though because even when I ordered "light" sausage it had way too much on the pizza. That seems to be the norm these days though, but for me it overwhelms the rest of the ingredients. I'd rotate between the two, but not sure if I'll get light sausage when I order. Anyway, the pizza is fantastic. Sauce for me is what it makes it, but crest and cheese are spot on as well. I do love garlic bread, specifically cheese garlic bread, and have had both. This has seemingly changed recently, but anytime I've had it it's been good as well. Currently it's more of a traditional garlic bread delivery which is slightly better. They do have two locations which is nice. One is dine-in, but they do accommodate orders if to go if needed. The other is the Uptown Sline Depot which is a to-go location. Both are great and they deliver the same result. The dine-in was packed on a recent Saturday visit and the concept with some craft beers, etc is good. Two things if the owner is listening. Go lighter on the toppings if asked. Second though and more important please expand outside of Sheboygan. You'd kill it in West Bend with little competition which you'd easily best.

This place is friendly, welcoming and affordable. We grabbed a slice of sausage and a grape soda…read more Tastes like delicious nostalgia.

It's actually located in the back of a bar called Four of a Kind. I ordered the Traditional UP Pasty. It was pretty darn good. Crust was light and flakey while the middle was dense and tasty. Just the way I like them. Gravy is an extra buck, but well worth it. I ordered my pasty in the back of the restaurant (behind the pool tables!) through a little window into the kitchen. This area has limited choices for beverages so I went to the bar to order something else separately. Wasn't too impressed with the staff. Kind of felt like I was a stranger coming into a someone's local hangout (which I actually was!!). I just thought I'd get a "thanks" or at least a "have a nice day" as I walked past the employees as I left. Nice thing is that if you are with someone who might not want a pasty, the bar has a pretty nice bar food menu including soups. Pasty was very good, will give them another try and maybe I'll get my "have a nice day" then!

The mozzarella sticks were okay. Kind of oddly sized; one was an inch and another was 3-4 inches. But tasted okay. The marinara sauce was pretty good. The pizza... *sigh* ... someone please get these guys a ticket to NYC to taste the real thing because it seems like they got a description from Google and just made it without a recipe. Hell, just go to Faye's; they have the closest I've seen in Sheboygan. As a New Yorker, it's outrageous. A real New York style pizza is juicy, with very flavorful sauce and lots of it, and gooey, oily cheese all over. It fills your mouth with euthoria and slides down your throat effortlessly. This, on the other hand, was the driest pizza I have ever encountered. I didn't even know it was possible to make pizza dry, but these guys did it! Congratulations! I had to have a cup of olive oil on the side to chase this pizza down just so it wouldn't activate my gag reflex. It was mostly dough, and dry dough at that; very little flavorless sauce, and an adequate amount of cheese. The cheese was not oily, as if it was a store-bought Tombstone pizza or something. OH! But wait! They sprinkled some italian herb seasoning on top! That's gonna make everything better, right? Both the guy on the phone and the delivery driver were nice and courteous. So they've got that going for them, I guess.
