Suggestion! Never change the recipe for what once was the best pizza in the county. Cheese quality has changed and so has the sauce. I don't know if it was a change in ownership or just trying to cut costs but it has not changed for the better. Been a valued customer since Faye's first opened its doors. Pizza is personal and it depends on what style you like. This was good for a thin crusted pizza, but not great, imo. Pros: It was open, isn't a chain, has good beer and pizza, cute ambiance, friendly people, and the pizza had a good sauce, good cheese, wasn't oily, had a thin crust, and the aroma from outside smells just like a NY pizzeria, and so does the taste! Con's: While thin and supposedly hand tossed, the crust certainly isn't really New York style. It is missing the chewy (like good bread)) crust around the outer edge of the pie, and it didn't seem quite baked through, although there was a crisp to the bottom. Instead of slicing into triangles with each slice cut from outer edge to the center, they cut it into little squares which means the entire center of the pizza is without edge crust. (In NY, we simply fold the large slices in half and the super thin crust has a slight crisp on the bottom, bends not cracks when you fold it, and the outer thick edge of every slice is a lovely, chewy "grip". Salad was fine. Nothing special, packaged dressing. If I really want pizza next time visiting Sheboygan, I might go again, but I'd order a smaller pizza (or two if we needed that much pizza rather than the very big pie, to assure each slice has a crust around the edge. read more

We ordered three pizzas to go and they were ready on time when I arrived to pick them up. So far, so good. The cheese pizza for the children was as plain as a cheese pizza can be -- but that's why we ordered it for the kids. It was exactly what the picky eaters wanted and they seemed to enjoy it. For the adults we ordered two large veggie pizzas. We opened the first box and dug in and I have to say it was quite good, A nice cracker crust, decent sauce, a goodly amount of veggies evenly distributed over the crust and enough, but not too much cheese. On to the second box, and what a disappointment. The pizza was over-baked, extremely dry, and actually charred black in places -- not just a bit on the edge of the crust, but whole pieces were inedible. The amount of veggies was significantly less than the first pizza and the distribution of the toppings was uneven. How two "identical" pizzas can come out so differently is baffling. All I can say is that quality control and consistency in the kitchen seems to be lacking and that is ultimately a management problem. I'm glad we happened to open the box with the well prepared pizza first. At least half of our meal was decent. Two out of three equals two stars from this reviewer. read more

Pizza sucks. My kids and I ate here they got a sausage and pepperoni pizza (hand tossed) adults got a deep dish deluxe pizza. I thought deep dish was suppose to have more toppings and less bread but it was a really the opposite. Too much crust where I scraped the toppings off and left the crust. My kids pizza was okay my daughter said it wasn't the best pizza. The crust really wasn't the greatest. I expected more from this small joint that's been around since the 1950s. read more

Everything was great from the service to the food and pricing was low. On a drive home to De Pere from Milwaukee on a Friday night we were craving classic family style pizza and this hit the spot. If you think of delivery pizza in your head, whatever you conjured up is probably a lot like Faye's. The food came to us hot, correct, and pretty quickly, which ultimately is what I'm aiming for when I'm ordering something for delivery. The pizza itself was alright. It has a good crust. I appreciate that they have green olives as a topping since in my neck of the woods, black olives seem to reign supreme. The pizza sauce and cheese were kind of bland though. It tasted fine. I wouldn't write home about it, but I'm not mad that I ordered it. There's other places in town that I like better, but this is a perfectly acceptable "we need pizza and we need it now" type of place. read more

if you're looking for somewhere to order pizza from, I wouldn't recommend going to Faye's. got our Deluxe pizza and you practically had to use a magnifying glass to find any sausage, peppers or onions. I called the store and they were going to remake our pizza. then I get a call back 5 minutes later from them telling me that they aren't remaking the pizza because the lack of toppings (per the manager) was "not a good enough reason to remake a pizza" and all they offered is a $5 store credit on a pizza that costed $20+. If its good its great but bee damned if you have any issues the staff was rude over the phone, the manager didnt even speak to me, my problem was that they hadnt put any sauce on my pizza so i called to see if they would do anything about it in return they offered me a 2 dollar voucher or a cup of pizza sauce in which i replied i just wont return. I had ordered a 17 inch pizza with extra sauce and to me forgetting that being a key element of pizza needs amending. Also their mozzarella sicks are gross and wrong they look like eggrolls. My family visits Sheboygan every year and has to stop at Faye's a few times during our stay. My father has been going there since the early 70s. Easily the best pizza I've had. Nice thin crust with cornmeal on the bottom. Light sauce and great cheese make it easy to eat (great cold as well). Dining room is small, but nice and clean, with sizable outdoor seating. Update, 12/31/19: Returned to Fayes's! Again, very happy with our pizza!. Crust was thin and crisp. Toppings were generous. Sauce was acceptable. We will return! So happy we tried Faye's pizza! We're from the Chicago area, so we feel qualified to recognize a great pie when we come across one and Faye's thin crust, sausage and mushroom did not disappoint us. In fact, it was one of the best we've ever had! No embellishment here, if Faye's was located in the Chicago area it would be a hit! Nice crispy thin crust with the cornmeal crumbs on the bottom, perfect ratio of sauce to crust, nice gooey cheese and great lean sausage with just the right amount of mushrooms to not overwhelm and detract from the other flavors. Super cute, fun, chill old school pizza place in downtown Sheboygan. Our 4 & 7 year old daughters were craving pizza and the Yelp reviews were great so... It was! I got a wonderful dinner salad with a TON of nicely seasoned grilled chicken breast on it. 7 year old changed it up and got a super cheesy and big meatball sub (which she loved). 4 year old kept it real with a personal size pepperoni pizza and the wife got a small loaded up house speciality pizza with everything on it. She's a pizza junkie and said it was some of the best she's ever had (I'll take her word for it). We also had an appetizer sampler platter which included ALL HOMEMADE fried cauliflower, mushrooms, zucchini and jalapeno poppers! Extra yummy and cheap, too. There's a reason this place has been in business for decades. Not only is the food priced reasonably, the portions are large. The pizza is amazing, the best I've had. The dinners are equally as delicious, and you get a ton of food with them, including salad and garlic bread. I highly recommend this place. Having eaten pizza at Il Ritrovo (tho haven't yet reviewed it - weird!) as well as Cucina in Kohler, I have to say this place beats those hands down! First of all, the prices are very reasonable, unlike the aforementioned spots. This is not a place to 'see and be seen' but a place for families and, no offense, it seemed the working class; your average Joe if you will. That's a good thing considering this area of the country is predominately working class families. And the decor is really welcoming and somewhat homey with wooden tables and even one adorable 2-seater table in a kinda catty-corner window. This was our first time coming, despite the fact a year ago it was recommended to us. Apparently the have specials often, and the night we went was all-you-can-eat meatball and spagetti, with breadsticks and a soda, for $7. We got a pizza (thin crust but not *too thin*!) with pepperoni, mushrooms, jalapenos (yes!), and onions. I didn't like the way they slice it in squares, but the taste of the pizza itself was really great. While it was lacking marinara sauce, the cheese was phenomenal and all the ingredients tasted great and really fresh. I would definitely come back for this pizza, as I do think it's the best I've had in the area. We ordered the jalapeno poppers to start - and while the red jalapeno part (only 1 slice per popper, not a whole pepper) was spicy, the cream cheese really outweighed it. My husband loved them but for a Texas girl, I prefer the punch of a spicier popper! Still, they were good, and didn't seem to be pre-frozen. The only fault was the caesar salad. Basically it was any green salad w/croutons and dry cheese with generic dressing on the side. It had been forgotten and came after our pizza, but that was fine since I didn't care for it any way. (I'm a caesar salad snob). Wine runs $4/glass here, which you can't really beat, and which is decent table wine. They also have a selection of beers and pepsi sodas. The waitstaff seems to be made up of young high school girls, but they work hard and that was awesome. I will definitely be coming back, and you should give it a shot, yourself. If you get the special or an entree and only water or a soda, you can walk out spending under $10. That's a steal for dinner out :) read more

I am a pizza snob and have had a lot of really good pizza from NY, Chicago, Boston (little Italy folks), and my home town of St.Paul/Minneapolis. This is really good thin crust pizza. The quality used to be very good. We have ordered this "pre-bake" numerous times and I think this was our last. We thought the last time was a fluke but I guess this is the norm now. They only put toppings one to two inches from the edge. We asked for onions on half of the pizza, not 1/6 of the pizza.
