My understanding is that Carlos had been there 18 years, and I hope he loves his job. He seems to, as he treats customers as we would want to be treated. He is kind, courteous, with a good sense of humour, and a welcoming smile. The best part? He knows his stuff! I had an exceptional experience at Transworld Tile. I have zero idea what I'm doing in picking out tiles. My apartment was flooded and I'm now forced to rebuild my kitchen. I was lucky enough to have Anita help me out. She really patiently walked me through options and helped me rule out things that would be bad. She gently nudged me in the right direction. When it came time to check out she asked to see a photo of my kitchen. She was able to tell by the photo that my contractor had make a mistake in measuring and had asked me to buy too much backsplash. And she was able to tell that more strategizing was going to need to go into picking the counter slabs. She actually spoke to my contractor and he agreed she was right. And shockingly my bill went down a few thousand dollars. Me saving this few thousand dollars required a couple things. Anita had to be really good at her job. Good enough to be able to tell from a picture that the order was wrong. And also it required her to be selfless enough to lose money on the sale. Had she went through with it, it wouldn't have been her bad, as it was the contractors advice. She really kind of went out of her way to make my experience better and more affordable. I ordered some Gigi's Groovy Stixx from Don and saved a bundle compared to Bedrosians and other local tile stores. I saved about 40% which is a lot when you are talking Groovy Stixx. Don was extremely helpful and nice to talk to. He even saved me some money by telling me I was ordering too much! What a great resource! I first bought tile here in 2020 for a kitchen remodel. I knew what I wanted and they sold it, at a better price than another tile company. My recent bathroom remodel was different - I wanted to see everything and returned several times to explore wall/shower tile, floor tile, and a pre fab quartz slab. I went to several tile places, including in West Hollywood and Santa Monica, to get ideas. Transworld Tile ended up having most of what I saw and at better prices. Anita was the perfect tile salesperson. She has a background in interior design and she guided me with expert advice. I took my time deciding, and she was incredibly patient. I asked a lot of questions, as I had never done a bathroom remodel, and Anita gave me just the right amount of opinion and professional "suggestions"--all with a great sense of humor. All of the other salespeople were very helpful and were able to order more tile for us if Anita wasn't in, which is a real plus. Our bathroom came out beautiful. The worst customer service !! They wanted to actually charge me $50.00 for samples that would be returned!! The sales help was rude and sarcastic, terrible terrible service. In response to the sample boards I have been a designer for 22 years I check out samples boards all the time! I have three in my car right now. I never ever charged for them! If I was to be charged for boards I would be spending over 700 a month! boards are always returned !!!!!! Again terrible service and they hung up on me when I called back and asked why I would be charged ! Who does that!!!! read more

I went there to pick up Tile for one my clients. When I went there I saw the tile that she had purchased so I decided to call her and ask her how much she paid for the tile. I purchased some sun nosed tiles from them and when I went in my purse to get my credit card, I discovered I had left my wallet at home. I was sent to this tile store by my contractor after I had visited3 other stores. I go in and no one acknowledges me. I walk around and ask 1 guy about some tiles. He tells me to go look on the other side of the store and never comes to find me again. Then another guy ask me if I need help. So we look at some tiles, he is not very helpful and every tile I pick out he says they don't have it. Then he tells me to get some samples and puts it on the table. He walks away, when he comes back he is helping someone else while I'm just standing there being ignored. He also told me they don't have any tiles in stock and it would be 11 weeks before I would get them. After I was standing there for 10 minutes he says to me he asked someone else to talk to me. This is all after I told them who the contractor was and they knew them and they still did not want to help me. The final salesperson was a woman. He said to me that they were closing soon and just give her the names of the tiles. I had to tell her I had been there for 30 minutes before she saw me. I did not appreciate that comment, she made it seem as I had just come in. That said, she still was the only one who took notes on what I wanted. She said she would call on Monday. She also told me that some of the tiles I liked my be in stock. While I was looking around the store I found some of the tiles I wanted on my own. read more
