Arranged full service on our Tiffin Allegro bus to include oil change and full service package. Results not good. Battery cables checked ok yet all had corrosion on them. Power steering fluid never touched by the fact it had no finger prints on the dip stick that was covered with old fluid and dust. Wiper fluid checked ok but was low. They put a gallon container inside for me to do it myself. Wipers marked good yet right wiper blade rested on painted surface of coach. In addition to paying for full service I was charged $131.45 to check air in tires. This included $11.95 shop supplies. Not sure what that was. Service writer agreed to charge half price for air but did not. Be very careful with this business. read more

Five-Star Service, Every Single Time Over the last seven days, I've had three different trucks go through the service department at Transwest Freightliner in Brighton, and once again the entire team reminded me why they're the best in the business. One truck came in with a failed radiator and they had it repaired in under 24 hours. Another needed a turbo actuator, and the moment the part arrived, the techs had it installed and the truck back on the road within hours. And last but definitely not least, one of my day cabs that was scheduled for a simple PM ended up needing an ECM and DEF doser. To keep my dedicated operation running the next morning, the tech actually stayed past 11 PM just to make sure the truck would be ready for a 6 AM pickup. That alone saved my entire operation for the day. I want to give special recognition to Dallas, who has helped me more times than I can count. When he sees an email from me, he doesn't wait until the next morning--he replies from home, takes time away from his own family, and treats my problems as if they were his. That kind of dedication is rare. Thank you to Ralph, Matt, Savannah, Stacy, Raven, Jacqueline, and the rest of the service team. You all consistently go above and beyond for us, and as a carrier running dedicated operations here in Denver, that reliability means everything. When I arrived for repair of a knock sensor, They said it should only take 4ish hours. Well, I waited 9 hrs outside in the heat because they would not let pets inside. When I finally had enough of the wait game, I approached the front desk to check on the status, for them to tell me that my tech left for the night, even though the front desk told me that they were open until 11pm. That is why I agreed to the repairs here. Alex, at the front desk, said they open at 6 am... well, they do.... but apparently, I got the laziest tech this place has to offer because he doesn't show up until 9 am. If this is a trucker hangout, you have nailed it and all of the amenities, but since this is a "REPAIR SHOP," you should focus a little more energy on timely repairs and communication with the people paying for the service. read more

I brought my Class A Winnebago Tour to have a slide out motor replaced, seeing they were the premier repair facility in the area. This motor failed after 6 months. Another technician showed me the destructive job Transwest did. Installed without sealant which caused the motor to fill with water and short out, bent the rail system to the slideout, and it appeared they hammered the motor into place, finally they used screws instead of rivets. The screws were not tight causing the motor to rock out of position as well. read more

Took our 2021 DynaMax DX3 37BH to the Longmont, CO location. It had a 30,000 mile check up and oil change done which cost us $1400. We had an epiphany and decided to trade it in (due to diesel/ licensing and insurance costs) and purchase a fifth wheel. We already had a 1 ton pick up that would haul anything. A light kept coming on on the dash and the dealer we traded it in to took it here and told us it was going to be $850 for the sensor (wiring harness) and oh by the way another $4400 for the oil leaks! Now mind you--the work was done less than 1 month before and there was less than 50 miles on the coach since then. Interesting , since we keep it in our shop and no oil on the concrete floor the entire time we owned it! When confronted with this--got "well could be since it wasn't driven for a while (what?!? less than a month--the seals dried out. We had just gotten back from a 6,000 mile trip prior to bringing it in for service. Think there is some hanky panky going on there. read more

I am writing to let you know about our disappointment. Both of the batteries that you all installed for us in the Hero mode failed. It made the rest of our trip a nightmare and we just finally got it resolved. We spent about a week worry free until all of a sudden things on the DC system started to fail. We had no idea what was wrong and spent every hour of every day trying to figure it out. First the water pump would not come on so we thought it had failed. Then the lights started to flicker, so we thought the controller had failed. Then the refrigerator control panel went blank. We called you but we were far away from Fredrick by then and you suggested Rapid City which we would have had to backtrack a few hours. They did not have the batteries in stock, no one else did, and it was the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend so many places were already closed down in observance. Even the main Interstate headquarters was closed and would be until the next Tuesday. We paid a mobile mechanic $100 to come out and confirm that it was the batteries while we were in Custer, South Dakota. Since it was the batteries and we could not get them replaced we had to limp the coach along from shore power to shore power all the while not being able to turn off the refrigerator and refill the propane for fear it would not come back on. We could not see anything on the control panel anymore. We had to haul water to flush the toilet manually, and could not wash our hands since the water pump was not getting enough DC current to operate. So we had to cut our trip short and missed many of the attractions we had planned in South Dakota and head straight home. Finally, when home we took it to our trusted mechanic paid him (another $100) to make sure nothing else was damaged in the process. He also traded out the bad batteries for the new ones that the San Diego Interstate group brought him two new batteries. So, the clock has started on another year warranty on these two batteries. I was really sad when I learned you all had installed the Interstate brand, as they are a low-end battery in the world of batteries with respect to reliability. I never would have agreed to only a one-year warranty on any battery had I known in advance. We were in dire circumstances, so it's likely I might have agreed anyway, but I was unhappy to learn the brand. These AGM batteries are extremely expensive in comparison to a car battery and you usually get a 3-year warranty with them. I can find higher quality 6-volt AGM batteries at cheaper cost with 3-5 year warranties even on Amazon. But again, we were in dire straits and at the mercy of being a thousand miles from home and had just experienced a dangerous fire on our RV. All in all, we are very disappointed, costly and a trip ruined. We would accept any refund you would like to extend to us. And we want you to check your stock and weed out any bad batteries so this does not happen to anyone else. Transwest could have been heroes had you not sold and installed bad batteries. read more

The first time I brought my truck here was for a coolant leak that 3 other places couldn't find the source of. This place claimed radiator hose clamps were the cause and said they replaced them and we're good to go. It was not. Arrived at our next destination and took it in to a different dealer. Low and behold a BLOWN HEAD was the source of the problem. The second time was for a broken seat back. The adjustment knob came right off in my hand. They said they replaced the knob and it's fine now. IT IS NOT! It slowly falls back to a completely reclined position. This place is full of liars and especially if your vehicle is in for warranty repairs make sure you go ANYWHERE else you can. I truly hope some day these people reap the dishonesty they sow. P.S. Took our truck in for a power steering issue. Facility was super clean and driver friendly with free laundry and the drivers lounge had nice seating and showers etc. They provided us with an Uber to and from a hotel. Communication could be a bit better but not as bad as some places. They replaced a power steering pump and line and then said it needed a steering gear box. Instead of fixing it all they pulled it out and had to wait in line again for that part to be replaced which they did have on hand. All in all they are a good business but they could improve on a few things. read more

My truck came in for repair on Tuesday. The staff was gracious at first, however it became very clear that they had no cares at all about driver time. The only way I could get updates was to go and ask. The staff would roll their eyes when I asked to go get something out of my truck. Depends on who you asked as too what you were waiting on. One person told me parts (came in the day before) next would say to be assigned a tech and the next would say paperwork all within an hour. I have so far waited over 3 1/2 hours for the paperwork to be done with no idea of a timeframe. This facility has no care about drivers time or getting you back on the road. My suggestion is to go anywhere but here for repair Update Got my truck back late Friday night. I'm back Saturday afternoon problem not fixed and of course front desk Omar rude and argumentative of the problem with my truck Update #2 Was told on Monday at 1430 I was the next truck to be in. Tuesday at 0635 they called said to gather tge things I needed so they coukd take my truck into the bay. Truck went in at 0930 was given back to me "fixed" at 1630. I made it to Kansas City. Broke down again. Same problem. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE FOR REPAIRS TO ANYTHING. read more

Horrible company to work for. Bad pay and bad management with no room for advancement.

If you like babysitting the mechanics, having people come back from lunch intoxicated, being lied to , having them break stuff on your rv and try to get you to pay for it, have them take the slide locks off one of your slide outs and bid you farewell without them, then this is the place for you. They are unethical and should be avoided at all cost. A one hour job can take a full day and they will charge you for parts and then cancel the order pocketing your cash. If they had not been recommended by a manufacturer we would not have gone here and will never be back. read more

My review is being left for the Heavy Duty Truck Repair shop. If I could possibly rate this business as a -10 I would. My father has been having issues with his Freightliner for about 6 weeks. We have been taking it out to Transwest for the repairs, figuring since they were a Freightliner dealer they would be able to correct the problem. After throwing $4000.00 to the dealer over a course of five trips, we took the truck to a different shop. They actually took their time to investigate the problem instead of guessing and found the problem and we were told that none of Transwest's guesses were correct. They took $4000.00 in parts and labor to "fix" problems that were never a problem. The truck had factory warranty time left on it, however due to them screwing around and playing guessing games the warranty expired during this whole fiasco. DO NOT take your Tractor's to Transwest for repairs...they will absolutely nickel and dime you to death and never get to the root of the problem!!! read more

I would like to give them a higher rating but they do seem to need constant reminder of what they are to be doing and why. They hardly ever return you call so you might as well just not leave a message and keep trying until you reach someone. We love our Newmar Coach that we bought from them but the service after the sale is key to customer service and it's certainly lacking here. read more
