We recently purchased a Chevy Silverado 1500 in Denver Colorado . We made it only about 125 Mi when we blew out an oil cooler line . We were towed to Transwest in Sterling Colorado . Even though it was after hours Cory was at the dealership and looked the situation over and said they would get a hold of us the next morning with what was all wrong . They contacted us the next morning with an estimate . The vehicle was fixed along with other repairs that were needed to continue on our trip . The staff at Transwest is very good. Especially Cory and Christian in the shop . Also the shop foreman I believe his name was James was very helpful . The work was completed and we were on our way that afternoon . I was driving across Colorado on a road trip and experienced trouble with my vehicle late on a Sunday evening. I wasn't going to be able to make it to where I was going, so stayed overnight in the closest town with a Chevrolet dealer with the hope that they would be able to address the issue the next day. I called Transwest first thing on Monday morning and they had the parts needed in stock and were able to complete a repair right away despite me not having any kind of scheduled appointment. They got me back on the road in much less time than I anticipated! While I'm not from the area, I wouldn't hesitate to use them for service when needed. My wife, and 4 children, took in our suburban for a warranty issue. We were told it would be about an hour the week prior, so they waited. They didn't finish until 4.5 hours later! There had to be an additional 60 minute test ran, so a couple hours was reasonable, but to make someone wait with 4 kids, for 4.5 hours, is ridiculous. We will not be doing business with them in the future. This is not the first issue my family has had with them. We also had a back window break on a brand new equinox we just purchased and they told us warranty wouldn't cover it. Asked another dealership where I used to work, and Chevrolet warrantied it without question. read more

This past week, we bought our 3rd vehicle in 2 years from Transwest Chevrolet, in Sterling, Colorado. Normally I would drive 2 to 3 hours away and buy our vehicles from other dealerships in the bigger cities, like Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley or Colorado Springs, due to competition from multiple dealerships in those areas competing for the sale. I could always get the best deals that way. 2 years ago, I went into Transwest Chevrolet, in Sterling, just to look at the newer trucks and see the features and things added since my current truck at that time had been made. It was a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Z71 4x4 crew cab that was fully loaded and really nice. I was really impressed with the newer trucks but wasn't planning on buying one. The truck that I was looking at was identical to my 2011 except it was a 2017 and it was white, and not black, like my 2011 was. Nic Gallegos spoke with me and educated me on the newer trucks. The 2017 that I was looking at had a sticker price of right at $51,000.00 and some change. The truck had been at the dealership for a few months because the GM had used it for a little bit. As a result, the truck had almost 5,000 miles on it. The dealership was very motivated to sell that truck. Rebates from Chevrolet equaled right at $10,000.00 due to it being year end clearance and then wanting to blow out the 2017's, to make room for the 2018's. Just for the heck of it I decided to see what kind of a deal the dealership would give me? Before trade in allowance on my truck, the out the door price was $38,400.00. It was way to good of a deal to pass up so I pulled the trigger. Transwest had recently purchased the dealership and the changes they made were quite significant and for the better. The staff were all very friendly and not pushy at all. We were treated so good that we went back 2 weeks later and bought my wife a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Eco. Our daughter was getting her license and was going to be given my wife's car. Originally, we were looking at new Cruze's but the dealership showed us the 2014. It was still in new shape and had very low miles. For some reason the dealership was having a hard time selling the car. They offered it to us for their cost and we bought it for only $9,000.00 plus fees. When I bought my truck, I discovered the windshield was scratched and pitted from who knows what? It was missed on the test drive and delivery but then I noticed it a few days later when the light hit it just right. Transwest replaced the windshield no questions asked. I was very grateful for them doing that. Ironically, a week later, we discovered very minor hail damage on my wife's car. Again, the dealership took care of everything with no issues at all. A few months later, my wife took the Cruze in for an oil change. The mechanics noticed that the oil pan was beginning to leak so they informed my wife but said they had all parts already there to fix everything but would need the car for a few extra hours. They gave my wife a free loner vehicle and warrantied the oil leak. Due to the excellent customer service in every area from Transwest, they have earned our business for life. Our youngest son just got his license so we now needed a 4th vehicle. He got our daughters car and our daughter bought the Cruze off of us. This time around, my wife wanted a Chevrolet Equinox. We were looking at new ones but we also found a 2016 LT, with very low miles on it, fully loaded and it had brand new tires just put on it. The Equinox was also still in new condition. Transwest was asking I think right at $19,500.00. Because this was our 3rd vehicle in 2 years, Transwest was going to sell us the Equinox at a discount. I think the out the door cost was something like $19,100.00. We were happy with that but unfortunately, our bank wanted them to take another $1,000.00 off in order to finance the vehicle. I felt bad asking them to discount the vehicle even more because I felt the selling price was a very fair deal. The dealership got with our bank and they took another $500.00 off and we simply put down an additional $500.00 out of pocket to get the deal done. Once again, Transwest provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond what dealerships normally do. Nic, has been our salesman every time and Shawn in the finance department has also, always been awesome to deal with. Mike, the General Manager has also gone out of his way to help us and is an all around great guy. Because the customer service is so good at Transwest Chevrolet, in Sterling, we have no plans of ever going anywhere else again. read more

This is not a COVId issue. It is a management issue. I have had numerous issues with this particular dealership and would not recommend them for maintenance or repair on your vehicle. Communication is lacking. They always have an excuse as to why it takes all day to get your oil changed. I will drive 2 hours to the front range before I bring my vehicle back here again. They have had numerous opportunities to earn my business and in every one proven otherwise. read more

On November 1, 2017 my wife and I were traveling from Arizona back to our home in Michigan and were about a half hour out of Sterling. Being within several hundred miles of needing an oil change for our Chevrolet Equinox we called Transwest and spoke to service manager Shane Irons. Telling him of our need, he promptly told us to come in within the next hour and he would have us scheduled. When we arrived, we spoke with Garrett Lanckriet as Shane was at lunch, and Technician Denny was assigned our work order. After going for walk to downtown Sterling and having lunch, we returned to have our Equinox oil change completed and the car washed and ready for us to continue our journey. Our experience with TRANSWEST CHEVROLET BUICK and its personnel, was nothing less than an excellent experience. I recently had a simple oil change and inspection. My only request was to have the headlights polished as they were showing some signs of fading as they often will, and to have my Buick returned clean. The bill had remarks as it should have ,concerning needed service work. However none of the concerns were mentioned to me at the time of pickup. I am truly disappointed. The car came back to me not clean, the headlights looked untouched and the needed repairs not discussed. My Buick only has 63K and the service work done every 3 mi. So where can I go to get the service I expect? read more
