So I went to Auto zone to get the oil filter so Walmart could do the oil change. Well the guy at autozone gave me the wrong oil filter and Trevor(not sure if he's the manager) went over to autozone to fix the issue so they could do my oil change. After autozone gave him the run around they finally gave him the right filter and they were able to do the oil change. The whole time Trevor was calling me and letting me know what was going on. They don't do repairs, but I was looking for advice to see if it would be okay to fix later or if it was too dangerous to drive. This Walmart Auto Care center was one of the only places open on Sundays that I could find. Kelley and one of the techs (didn't catch his name) kindly took the time to assess my tires and test drive the car to make sure I could drive back safely. They suggested to get an alignment after I arrived at home. I deeply appreciate their kindness in going out of their way to help me out when they were already busy that morning! While they need to make a living and keep the lights on, u could just tell he wasn't out for the money, and truly wanted to help me out. Jason the lead mechanic literally stopped his other project to help Rick out on the job and get me out and back on the road asap. They didn't mention it, but I know they worked thru their lunch break, just out of the goodness of their hearts. Also, They service all the police cars, etc in the area and that alone speaks volumes. If cops trust them, well, so do I and I certainly was not disappointed in the least. From tire blowouts to towing to battery and alternator issues I had it all and they fixed it all no problem. Lastly, Cindy was so great. She helped a ton at organizing and delegating my problems and it was so awesome that she thought outside the box and was able to help me as a person instead just treating me like another number. Super refreshing to know customer service is not dead, because it is alive and well at the hilltop garage. Thank you again Rick, Cindy, and Jason. You were all god sends in your own right. I may have moved to Denver or fort Collins but I'm still going to bring my vehicle here for as long as I live in Colorado. Super fair pricing, I'm positive they beat any quote around. Shotty repair work. Used car muffler on a diesel truck, unauthorized repairs, completed work before…read moregetting authorization or giving me an estimate. Save yourself the hassle and take it to real mechanic. Their labor hourly rate is more than a real mechanic with a real shop. They don't know vehicles either. I had to tell them how to diagnose the vehicle, and I'm not a mechanic! They have a car lift and a welder, otherwise I would've done the repairs myself. They are charging twice as much for parts. I could've ordered the parts from the auto parts store for half the price!!!! And that's at full retail!!! I fully intend to file a complaint with the AG concerning the unauthorized repairs.
