I've taken my car to them 3 times, and been cheated twice. This last time I went in for a hole in the transmission pan. They had the most dishonest mechanic I've ever seen. He tells me he'll do the pan, but I may need a new battery too. I told him it was 6 months old and just needed a recharge. He says okay but he checked my oil and I'm a quart low, so he can do an oil; change for me. Cars do not need oil changes simply because they are a quart low on oil. I declined so he says I might need an alignment since I had hit a curb and caused the hole in the pan. I replied that once he fixed the pan I could drive the car and decide if it needed aligned. He then says I need new tires because even though the tread was still good the sidewalls had dry rot. I said nope I can't afford tires at this time. He then tells me how I could be going down the highway, have a blow out and roll off into the ditch and be killed.
He tried to sell me a battery, alignment, oil change and tires, none of which was needed, and trying to scare me into thinking I could be killed driving on the tires. And all I went in for was a new transmission pan. This is a well known trick used by dishonest mechanics. Selling people work they don't need.
Next day he calls and says the pan's done but I now have a hole in the radiator overflow tank and that anti-freeze was leaking everywhere. It was fine before I took it in but I decided to let him do it so he wouldn't further damage the car.
I'm sure his deceitfulness probably works on many unsuspecting people who don't know their car very well so I would strongly advise anyone, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! You WILL be cheated! I was charged almost $500 for work that should have cost about $300, and probably wasn't needed in the first place. read more
