Almost two years later and I decided to trade the vehicle he sold me for a different one. Very quick and easy trade in I was super happy again. Unfortunately, the happiness didn't last long because almost three weeks later, he calls to say he needs to find a different bank. He messed up the loan application and the loan was rejected. He did find another bank. The interest rate was a little higher. He couldn't even get me the exact same terms as the other loan. Which isn't terrible, but its still upsetting to know if he had not messed up it would have been better. My credit was pulled again! So there's an unnecessary inquiry on my credit because of his mistake. The worst part, my old vehicle was sold but it was not paid off yet. When I asked about the payoff, since it will be another thirty days on top of the almost three weeks that already passed, he said "We will pay what we agreed on at trade in. Any extra amount will be YOUR responsibility as that is your debt" Totally rude and unfair as this was HIS mistake. Had he done his job correctly the first time, this would not have happened. Other dealerships have lost my business due to selling me bad vehicles but made it right and refunded my money. However, Sterling Auto Sales has not only lost any future business but my respect. My husband, Jose has purchased over six vehicles from them and will never go back either. Our teenagers will be ready to purchase their first car in a few years. Sterling Auto Sales will not get their business either! We will go somewhere where they will process the application correctly the FIRST time so we don't end up paying any extra out of pocket for their lack of effort in fixing their own mistakes. I guess making a profit and hitting those sales goals was more important than customer service and future business security.

I wasn't going to be able to make it to where I was going, so stayed overnight in the closest town with a Chevrolet dealer with the hope that they would be able to address the issue the next day. I called Transwest first thing on Monday morning and they had the parts needed in stock and were able to complete a repair right away despite me not having any kind of scheduled appointment. They got me back on the road in much less time than I anticipated! While I'm not from the area, I wouldn't hesitate to use them for service when needed. I took my daughters car in for a recall, leading up to the repair Korf did, the car was working perfectly, minus an unnoticeable recall issue with the shifter. Once we got the car back, the car refused to shift from park. They claimed the issue they repaired in the shifter had NOTHING to do with the repair they did, and tried to charge my daughter over $200 to fix the issue. Low and behold, I find the part for $15... The service manager said that the issue with the shifter currently was a "fluke coincidence" going out when they did their repair... and stated "I stand behind my mechanics, they're not crooked, nor would they half-ass a job". I…read moreknow that cleaning has to happen sometime... but it should be at the end of the day after customers have gone home. Not while they are in the waiting area, trying to talk on the phone. Hearing salespeople talk about their clients as well as their home life including what party they were at, is not professional at all. The work was performed on my car in almost the time quoted. I was quoted an hour n a half, it was two and a quarter. Time delays should be communicated to the customer when they are waiting for their vehicle. Also service personnel should wash their hands and protect customer vehicles from their work clothes when driving them out. Dirty hands on my steering wheel, and black marks on my seats. I was wearing white pants. I have since cleaned my seats and steering wheel. It's not that difficult to respect a customers vehicle.
