We recently had work done on the transmission at our local AAMCO, and there was apparently an issue with how the gear shifter aligned with the transmission. We had no idea, and it did not manifest for several weeks. Regardless, it was not drivable long distance. They showed up to this AAMCO without an appointment and just needed help. Josh the manager really took care of them. He made sure they were safe inside and even helped take care of the dog. It was not the best area, and my girls were traveling alone. They were absolutely safe with Josh and his team. Even the dog warmed up to him, and she does not like usually like strangers. Since the issue was part of work done at another AAMCO, they were able to coordinate with our home shop and the service cost has nothing out of pocket. This is why it is helpful to go with a larger network of mechanics. Things happen and the work is covered under warranty. When you have honest people, they just take care of it. The tech's name was Teo (who was awesome) and he both diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. Frankly, it was faster than our home shop. My family was well cared for, our van was fixed and ran like new all the way back home, and the cost was was all covered since it was warrantied. I cannot thank this shop enough for how they helped us. I was shocked to see some older bad reviews here, but they must have changed management because this place is great. Highly, highly recommend.

After a tranny rebuild on a Tundra, which took them over a month to complete, my truck was back at this shop two additional times for continuing tranny problems. And guess what? Each time they kept it over a month! My truck sat at this garage for 3 out of the last 10 months! The shop is in total disarray. Poorest communication imaginable. I had to call and initiate communication every time. They never called with updates, apologies for continued delays, or notices that my truck was even ready. Please, please stay away.

Found fine gauge metal wire in my oil filter afterwards. Vibration was not fixed either. Was screamed at over the phone when I attempted to inquire about the origins of the foreign material and was called "stupid". Owner Luke does not take well to simple questions such as : "if nobody but you or your guys have been in this motor, where did the metal come from". Responded with cursing and insults instead of answers. Was hung up on 2 times and told not to return. However my motor mounts were installed at no labor cost due to the original diagnosis for the vibration being wrong (my discovery not theirs).
