Our family had been looking to transfer our old video cassettes for years now. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I was apprehensive around the quality of the tapes since they are from the early 90s, but they turned out great and I love the convenience of having things on a flash drive. The price is also significantly cheaper than anything I could find online. If you're in the Valley, I highly recommend going local! read more

Great svc - fast and affordable. VHS to USB and it was nice to be able to keep this.

Transfer for less did a nice job transferring 1,400 photos or so onto a flash drive for me. It took about three weeks for them to complete the job but they made me aware of that when I gave them the photos. The price was pretty reasonable compared to other places offering the same services (I called around) and I'm happy with the results. They take care of your photos with the knowledge that they are more than memories and can't just be replaced if mishandled. read more

My mom wanted me to review Transfer for Less after she used them to transfer our home movies from my childhood onto a USB for a Christmas present for my dad. They were helpful, responsive, kind, very friendly, knowledgeable, and very timely. They helped us see memories from 25 years ago that we haven't been able to view since I was little. Plus they were so reasonably priced when compared to other retailers that offer a similar service. I wish we had more memories for them to help us with but we recommend them help you with yours! Thank you very much, Transfer for Less. You made our Christmas incredibly special this year. read more

I have stumbled on this place called Transfer for Less Phoenix while getting Starbucks coffee on 16 street and Bethany Home. This reminded me of the hundreds of old photos and VHS videos that I have at home and that I never get to see. I have brought my treasure to this place and was greeted by a very nice lady called Gratzia and her husband Soli. They very very helpful and accommodating. The photos and videos were all transfers to a hard drive which I have provided. The quality was amazing and the the price was right. I would definitely recommend this family owned business to all my friends. During this Pandemic time, I had a lot of spare time to go over my videos and photos and enjoy old memories. Thank you Transfer for less Phoenix and thank you Gratzia and Soli. read more

I telephoned Transfer For Less in July, and spoke with the proprietor, named Grazie. I asked if she could transfer 8 mm and 16 mm film to uncompressed AVI format. She said no, they only do MP4 format. I said okay. Anyway, on 7/20/22, I brought two films to the store on Bethany Home & 16th St. Grazie was there, and I asked again about the movie formats. She said, "Oh, we can do AVI format." I said fine, please do it that way. I returned 27 days later to pick up my order. The work was terrible! The files played in Windows, but the frame rate was way off on one of them, and the action was too fast. The same one had motionless speckles of dirt on it, like the technician hadn't cleaned the optics. The other film had some speckles, but not as bad. That file was very grainy and had a yellowish tinge. Neither file was compatible with my Movie Studio software, which I use to narrate the movies. And both files were clearly compressed in file size, not like uncompressed AVI. I called Grazie the next day, and she pointed out that she had told me earlier they didn't do AVI format! I said, "But when I was in your store, you told me you could." I can't say that Transfer For Less wouldn't do more acceptable work if you requested MP4 format. And on the positive side, I can attest that their turn-around time was quite good. However, I'm not happy with my order, and can't recommend this place. read more

Turns out only one dvd did this I've been seeing an issue where watching a scene while I'm having Christmas with my family and sadly I'll get switched back to me and San Diego and Vegas switch right back to me and Christmas a little kid and then back to Christmas this is unacceptable. How hard is it to record something from hi 8 onto DVD without messing it up? read more

I brought in about 80 reels of my Dad's old 8mm reels that were from 1954-1978. They took them all and got it all put on a USB stick that I was able to look at and view on a computer. They got all of this done in about 3 weeks and it was the perfect Christmas present for my dad and all of his older family. They loved seeing their mom and dad again. It is Hours of film that was just sitting in a chest and we had no way to even play it. They got it saved for us forever now. Thank you so much! Prices were way better here than other places I was looking at online. Also, It was so much easier to just walk into the store with a crate of old reels than try to mail them anywhere. It felt much safer. read more

Grazia and the gentleman (so sorry--can't remember his name!) are AWESOME! I brought in a favorite old VHS tape of my husband's right before Christmas, and naturally, they were quite backed up. They said they wouldn't be able to get it to me until the first week of January, so I was really surprised when I got a call from them a day or so before Christmas, letting me know what was ready! Speedy, amazing customer service, personable, and very reasonable! These folks will definitely be getting more of my business. Recommend them highly! read more

Transfer for Less is a small business run by a hard working, knowledgeable, trustworthy, honest, dedicated couple. I brought in many, many boxes of (literally) thousands of family pictures in various formats (on video, in albums, in stacks) to digitize. I was completely overwhelmed and frazzled by the size of the project. The owners worked with me to understand options and opportunities as well as costs. They are dedicated to providing quality copies. They were straightforward and patient and set true expectations and helped me sort through this huge task - and then followed through with their part of this project exactly as they advised. I recommend them, and their service and have returned/will continue to return with other (smaller!) projects read more

I took a bunch of old VHS-C in, after trying some transfers to DVD at home that I was disappointed in. Transfer for Less did a great job. The videos are as clear as they can possibly be, lightly edited to remove blank spots, sections of static, etc. and organized exactly how I wanted on a USB stick. Very pleased with the work they did. They kept in touch by email all the way. read more

First let me talk about Grazia, the owner of the store on 16th Street and Bethany. My sister and I brought in thousands of slides dating back to the early 1960's to transfer to digital. Grazia understood the importance of this to us and spent lot of time suggesting different ways we could organize them, etc. We took them back home, made some changes in our arrangement then brought them back. We knew this would cost $$ and take a lot of time. Sure, we could have paid less to send them out to a large company but living in central Phoenix, I prefer to feed the local businesses and we wanted our slides safe with someone we could trust. Well, with Grazia we felt 100% comfortable!! All of those slides were put onto one flash drive and the quality of the photos is incredible, better than looking at it on our old 70's projector and we can view them on the big screen and create our own files if we want. A thank you to Grazia and Transfer for Less! read more

Helped me with over 100 films and 1000+ slides. The quality is amazing. They cleaned each movie and did a "frame by frame " scan. This is the only company I could find using this method. Now I can easily share these treasured memories with family all over the country. Very easy. I just dropped everything off. They called me when it was ready. read more

We had over 1000 photos scanned and over 45 videos some 8mm, some VHS, and some Pal transferred to a hard drive. I do not usually write reviews but my experience with Transfer for Less Phoenix deserves a review. Customer service was wonderful. Grazia, the owner, listened very carefully and patiently to all my requests and she was a pleasure to work with. The quality of the work was beyond exceptional. They labelled files dating back 40 years so that they were easy to access. We have been able to view the files with my children reliving their childhood experiences. Before going to Transfer for Less, I did comparison shopping. Beside a high quality of work, they were also reasonably priced. If you need either videos or photos transferred, I highly recommend them. read more
