The folks at Transfer For Less recently converted my family's home movies (8mm, Super 8, VHS, VHS-C) and audio cassettes to digital files. The job involved around 45 videos and 100 audio tapes. My requests were not simple, but they listened to what I needed and delivered exactly what I was expecting. They were able to merge audio tracks from tapes with 8mm film footage, resulting in video files containing the corresponding audio. The owner was very responsive from the beginning, and helped me understand what technical options were available before the job was started. He also went out of his way to expedite the first batch of transfers to accommodate my immediate needs. Everyone I dealt with at their Mesa location was friendly and helpful. They reached out to me for clarification when necessary, and responded promptly to my inquiries. My family is very happy with the results. The fine folks at Transfer For Less really came through for us. I cannot thank them enough for helping to preserve my family's audio and video history. read more

Great Company!!.. They are a commercial service but they were very happy to accommodate me as a residential customer. They let me know when their driver was close to where I lived and I met him at the location. The driver was very friendly and professional and took my papers and shredded them for me at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this company if you have personal stuff to get shredded. read more

Great company with excellent customer service. I went to the Phoenix location with some old tapes, one including my wedding. Transfer For Less did an excellent job transferring my tapes. The job was finished quicker than expect too. I'll be taking more tapes and photos back. Friendly customer!! read more

There are actually less expensive transfer services, but these guys take the time to do the job right. High quality workmanship. Would definitely use again. read more

Great service at a great price. Took less time than expected. Will use again. Quality very good.

Transfer for Less did a fantastic job on getting my treasured memories off my video camera cassettes and complied them for me too. I'm so happy with the results of their work. read more

Pricing was very competitive and the final result met our expectations. My wife was over joyed to revisit our 30 year old recordings.

We found an old tape with my wife's name on it while cleaning out her late grandmothers house. It was in the attic so we were worried it might be damaged. Transfer For Less was able to get all of the content and make it digital for next to nothing! We will definitely be back. read more

They responded to my request for info right away. I still need to meet and choose pics and music for my project. Very reasonable quote. Definitely using them. read more

I have used Transfer for less for several years. Have brought in 1000's of pictures and negatives. Not super fast but super good and super nice. Prices are fair but what are old pictures and negatives worth? They are priceless and that is why I continue to use them. Would recommend them 100% read more

Awesome customer service from Patrick! I brought them two old VHS tapes that were copied from old 8mm movies from the 50's. They made 5 copies onto DVDS and 3 digital copies on flash drives. It was done quickly and accurately. My Dad is able to see movies that have my Mom in them. She has been dead 7 years. It just made his day. Thank you for an awesome gift for my Dad. read more

They did an excellent job with transferring vhs and cassette tapes. Very please with the speed, professionalism, and care they took. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I had 40+ Super 8 mm tapes of my kids growing up. I had put the task off for a long time, because I am tech challenged, and easily frustrated. I chose T4L, even though others were closer to me, based upon yelp reviews. I am glad I did. We have now transferred most of the tapes. At first, because of my fears, we did DVDs and upload to my external hard drive. As I became more adept, we eliminated the DVDs. We have also gone from MP4 format allowing easy upload, to a higher resolution which is a bit challenging to upload. Although I am still engaged in the process, I wanted to chime in with a very positive review based on contacts over the past two or three months. Cashlee and Jared have taken very good care of me, and I am confident that this daunting process will be finished up before triple digit temperatures become routine once again. Glad that I chose T4L, and they very much deserve this highest rating. read more

I took a couple VCRs to Costco to get transferred. Waited a week or so, and got them back. They weren't able to transfer one of them because the VCR case was broken. Transfer For Less rebuilt the case and transferred it over. I wouldn't be able to relive the glory years of high school wrestling without their help. haha read more

Businesses often talk about a desire to create raving fans, yet rarely put forth the effort to create such a customer. Transfer for less has made me a raving fan! This business gives their customers a full experience; from a cheerful welcome, to a considerate, final touch on the work that was done. I had 34 VHS-C and various other tapes, where childhood memories were locked away, but thanks to the help from Jared and his team, these memories were unlocked and a joy to share with new members of my life! Thank you Transfer for Less for a job well done! read more

Needed a last minute video made for my husbands funeral and hired them to make it. When we got there to pick it up they were closed. Today I went to pick it up and the girl was snotty and said she waited for me to pick it up and that she called me and my phone rang twice then nothing. Really? Misdial? Hang up and call again! The funeral is over, It's too late. And she was snotty and didn't even say thank you after I paid! Very insensitive! I was a wreck on the day of the funeral and she could have tried to make sure I got at least a phone call letting us know they were closing. The worst part was her attitude today! read more

Excellent service. My quote request was responded to right away and the pricing seemed very reasonable.

I had a few educational tapes transferred to DVD, and I love that this company is local and does everything in house. No worries about my stuff being lost! Prices are reasonable and my DVD's were delivered in about a week. My only complaint is that I've been watching for a sale but haven't seen one in a few weeks. read more

They did a good job considering what we had to transfer. We had old Reel to Reel that had already been transferred to VHS and were OLD. Already did not look very good. They transferred and actually salvaged our 5 VHS Tapes and put on DVD's for us with copies to share. Everyone was thrilled to see our old beach pictures from CA in the 50's and 60's along with 70's. Thrilled and quick service even around the holidays. read more

Great job! They got my project done before the holiday sooner than expected. Made a great Christmas gift. A little pricey but they produced a quality product. read more

Great Company. The service is outstanding. The employees are not only very knowledgeable but so patient with those of us who are not technically inclined. They make sure you understand and alleviate anxiety associated with precious memories! Their finished product is fantastic and if you need further help or want to change or add anything they are so willing to accommodate your needs! Love working with them! No need to look further! Price and product cannot be beat! Barb Schild read more

This was not an ordinary video (8mm VHS, etc.) to digital conversion. I had at least eight canisters of a 44 year old 16mm film, which might have an optical or magnetic sound track. It took some investigation to determine which reels to use and as it turned out, there was no sound track. Two reel-to-reel audio tapes had to be reviewed to determine which to synch with the movie. Transfer For Less provided exceptional service! They are experienced professionals, who patiently explained the process, possible glitches due to the age of the original, reviewed parts of the film to make sure its signs of deterioration would allow for a successful conversion and provided time and cost estimates. The did an excellent job of transferring the film, cutting out blank spots, synching the music and providing a quality product! They met both the cost and time estimates. I started the project with hope tempered by caution and finished with extreme satisfaction. Thanks to Transfer For Less a 44 your old project was rescued and saved for years of memories across generations. read more

My daughter took our home movies here to transfer onto a hard drive just before Christmas to give to my husband as a Christmas gift. When he went to watch them only the audio played. NO PICTURE! They were closed for 2 weeks for Christmas so we had to wait to go back. When I went back I also took my own home movies from when I was a kid and asked if we could get a discount for ruining my husbands Christmas present and the inconvience of the one hour round trip. The kid told me no because they are "fixing their mistake for FREE." A week later we picked them up again and the movies jitter and shake all over the place to where you get dizzy! So now we have to go back a third time!!! Same your money, time and gas! This place has horrible service. They are grouchy, condescending and always look mad when you are in there. Not friendly at all!! read more

Quality work at the most reasonable prices anywhere, In the past year we have had all of our old school VHS, VHS-C and 8mm videotapes transferred to DVD format. Technicians edit and correct scenes (remember those minutes on VHS when you forgot to turn off the camera and shot footage of the ground ??) Employees carefully mark media according to customer preferences and call to verify if/when they have questions during the transfer process - something we've not experienced with other transfer services TFL gives the customer an accurate time frame to expect work completed and original media, for those who still want to keep it, is returned in the same condition as it was brought in. We certainly would recommend this company to anyone considering preserving / digitizing VHS formats. The website is helpful and informative as well read more

I have never before been put off by a company like I am with this one. The owner definitely thinks that his product is way more valuable than his customers. He was rude and condescending. There are far too many groupon deals (www.groupon.com) out there that do DVD transfers for this company to blow off customers. The saying, "customer service is hard to come by these days" rings true with the company. If I were you, I'd take me business elsewhere! read more

This is a great company! Their normal pricing and service is second to none. We took in some old glass slides from the 1940's (my Dad's Navy days) and not only did they do a great job reproducing them, but they spent a LOT of time cleaning them in order to get the best quality. We also had some 8mm movies from the 50's and 60's, and they went out their way to get the editing just right and getting titles on the scenes. Due to a death in the family we asked for a rush on some items and did they ever come through for us! Not only were the rush charges more than reasonable, in some cases they had our files done in a matter of 3 hours! I would recommend Transfer for less for any kind of digital work. read more
