Will Traenkle and Tranquilnet is awesome! This guy does everything! Literally, EVERYTHING. He knows everything there is to know about macs, PCs, other IT stuff that I've never heard of. Everything that I have asked him has been answered quickly and efficiently - and the best part is that when he doesn't have the answer and says he will get back to you, he actually does, unlike other IT services. I'm confident that when he is hired to do any job, he will work his butt off to make sure it gets done. I have emailed him questions late at night and surprisingly, they're answered in the morning before I wake up. Extremely bad experience with their firewall product. They run PFWhardware.com . Paid about $ 1000 for a firewall with a current version of OPNsense (18.7 at the time of purchase). It arrived with a version of 17.7 on it and we spent days trying to get it to work. Finally, the Canadian company provided a work around but given the problems what next is going to break down. We decided that this should have worked right out of the box. I have three other firewalls all running OPNsense current versions with no issues at all. They kept making us look bad by saying they don't support upgrades. This is BS. The unit never came with the right software to begin with. Then to get a refund, I need to send this back to Canada on my nickle. So I do this and Canada has a postal strike. Long and short is this started back in November and it February 1st and I still have not got my money back. I have gone through my bank to put a stop payment on this. I keep getting emails saying "the check is in the mail" but nothing. Will seems like a nice guy but this firewall side business he is running is crap. Do yourself a favor and just go buy an empty firewall that is guaranteed by the manufacturer to run the OPNsense version you want. Then download it for free and install it. I also recommend making a donation to OPNsense. Great software product. You can get all this for half the cost of the products at PFW hardware. read more

I am very good at what I do, but I am just not a techie. So when I needed some IT help last year, I consulted Will from Tranquilnet IT Solutions. We emailed and spoke on the phone a few times, I told him what I needed and I found him knowledgeable, accessible, and easy to work with. We both knew this was a small job, but by giving him remote access to my computer for an hour or so, he changed my settings and helped me set up what I wanted; he even followed up by phone and email for a week or two, until my new account was working flawlessly. I had no further contact with Will until this week. Before I met Will, I had hired someone else to build and host my website. About a month ago, I got an email from my website host telling me he was shutting down his business, and I needed to find a new host. That was the only contact I had before my website host completely disappeared and did not respond to email, phone, or voice mails. In the process of trying to find a new host, my email completely crashed (I could send emails but could not get any), and three potential hosting companies were giving me technical jargon, telling me to call someone I could not locate, but did not get it fixed. At the end of my rope, I called Will at 7pm last night, and he actually answered his phone! After explaining the problem, he said "I can fix that." And it was completely fixed within about a half hour; today it turned out I needed him to do one more thing and he did that within 10 minutes. I agree with the other reviewers -- he is extremely knowledgeable in his field, he is responsive, efficient, easy to work with, and I can not recommend him enough.
