I've been going to Dr. Chesler since I moved here from the east coast! I have been very happy with the care I receive. unlike other dentists she doesn't try to talk you into unnecessary procedures. She is very personable and is very caring. I also see Lisa, a hygienist, who is amazing. I have been so pleased with this practice. read more

Just talked over the phone with them but very polite and it's too far from where we live but if we moved there I'd want to try them out.

I never knew how great it could be to go to the dentist until Dr. Chesler's office! The office is tucked away in a tiny shopping plaza. It is beautiful inside. There are three patient chairs, each with a TV in the ceiling for entertainment while you sit back and relax during your appointment. There's even a complimentary beverage at the end of your appointment. If a dental office could be spa-level, it would look like this. Dr. Chesler is a former military dentist and has exceptional training and experience. She and her staff, especially Lisa, are so friendly they feel more like lifelong friends than dentists. Their office does not accept Tricare but has been flexible with my payment options, allowing me to pay out of pocket at a reasonable price when they weren't in network with my new insurance. I most appreciate when I was unsure about my new in-network dentist telling me I needed 11 fillings so Dr. Chesler gave me a consultation, preventing a dishonest dentist from wrongly drilling into my healthy teeth. I am so grateful she happily and quickly gave me a second opinion! I can't recommend Dr. Chesler and her staff enough! read more

Phew, I can feel good about going to the dentist again! Thank you to everyone at the office including Dr Chesler for your, knowledge and kindness! read more

Doctor Chesler and her staff are truly wonderful. Thank you all for being there for me and my family during this pandemic

Dr. Chesler gave me my smile back!!!!!!!!!!!! About 17 years ago I had my top 10 teeth bonded when I lived on the east coast. I was so happy with my smile for at least a decade after that. But these past 5 years, my smile had suffered the staining (coffee, red wine...) of time and unfortunately had started to chip. I knew it was time for a redo but my dentist in La Jolla only wanted to do porcelain veneers. 10 porcelain veneers cost more than what I paid for nursing school. I actually contacted my old dentist who did my work on the east coast, only problem is adding in the extra cost of flight, rental car & hotel (and inconvience)- it was getting pricey. My husband convinced me there must be a dentist in North County that could do this. I searched online and had heard of Dr. Chesler through a friend and I figured I would see her for a consult. I pulled into the center where her office is and from the moment I walked into her dentist office, I instinctively knew I was at the right place. Her receptionist, Emma is warm, friendly and comforting. I was taken back to meet with her and she knew EXACTLY what I was talking about. Her confidence that she could deliver what I wanted was so reassuring. I left that day knowing I was with the right dentist. I was given the exact cost and treatment plan, no gimmicks, no up selling. When she redid all my cosmetic work, it took an entire day and she cleared her whole schedule for me. I was her only patient that day. She had to remove all the old bonding and FREE HAND my "bedside veneers". She also professionally whitened all my teeth. Her dental hygienist was incredible!! I even watched movies on a screen mounted in the ceiling with headphones on. And with all the work I had done, I had NO PAIN! none! zero! I can't believe how awesome my smile looks now! I have received so many compliments from total strangers on how nice my smile is! Needless to say, Dr. Chesler is now my regular dentist. My husband is blown away, he is switching to her also! Dr. Chesler and her office staff are THE BEST dentist office I have EVER been to! read more

Trang T Chesler, DDS - My smile fixed thanks to Dr. Chesler!!!!! - General Dentistry Near Me - Encinitas, California

I came to Dr. Chesler for a second opinion a year or so ago and I'm here for the long run. Dr. Chesler is very nice, informative and runs a great practice. The hygienists are all great. The receptionist is very nice and helpful as well. After looking through the reviews I noticed multiple people complaining about not seeing the Dr during their visit. Im not sure if everyone knows how this works, but not every visit includes an exam by the doctor, nor is it necessary. I would recommend this practice to anyone. In my opinion, the prices are fair and this practice provides excellent patient care. read more

Highly recommend! Dr. Chesler and her staff are incredible. Her level of integrity and knowledge of your needs surpass my expectations every time. I had some work in the past that was less then perfect. Instead of saying let's take it out and redo Dr. Chesler keeps an eye on it because she knows touching it again (unless there is a real reason like decay) undermines the strength of the tooth. She told me what to do to keep it maintained and inspects it when I come in for my cleanings. This really wowed me! Her team is truly that and they make sure you are part of your overall oral health. They are knowledgeable and super friendly. Even when you take the first appt of the day. Example is Lisa, my hygienist, I usually take the before 8am appt and she greets me w a smile, positive attitude and energy always appears genuinely happy to see you! Lisa my huh read more

Highly recommend! I saw Dr. Chesler for the first time about two years ago for an implant following an extraction. She was very thorough and took the time to explain everything. The process was smooth and I received professional care and a perfect outcome. I quickly switched to her as my regular dentist. I also see Lisa who is an outstanding hygienist in the office. She makes the whole cleaning process painless and enjoyable. Dr. Chesler is a very knowledgeable and skilled dentist with a friendly and caring staff. I highly recommend this practice! read more

Dr. Trang Chesler and her team make me feel so at ease as soon as I walk in! The cleanings are always super gentle for a scaredy cat like me. I love that Dr. Trang always tells and shows me exactly what is going on in my mouth. On the cosmetic side, there's no one better! Dr. Trang basically reconstructed one of my front teeth. She literally saved me thousands on veneers. I love when a Dr. has your best interest in mind and has the integrity to help you at all costs. That's trust. I completely trust Dr. Trang and so happy that she's my dentist! read more

The receptionist in Dr Chesler's office is rude, disrespectful and gives advice that is not within her scope of practice. Dr Chesler should monitor her more and not have the receptionist run the practice. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Chesler. She is hands down the BEST dentist I have ever been to, and I constantly recommend her to all my friends and family. Not only is she personable, she is intelligent and very talented! I recently needed to have two crowns done which I was not thrilled about. Dr. Chesler made me feel comfortable and actually made the experience enjoyable (Yes, getting two crowns was enjoyable!) Unlike other dentists, I completely trust her and know that she has my best interest in mind at all time. My smile is looking fabulous again thanks to her!! read more

As much as I would like to give Lisa, dental hygienist, 5 stars, I could give the dentist office 0 if possible. I cannot not begin to explain the billing issues I have had since Andrea has taken over the front desk. I feel Dr. Chesler did a great job transitioning the office from Dr. Greenburg, (previous owner), but might want to reassess the front desk. I am a very patient person but have pulled hair over trying to work with Andrea over the past couple of years! I am supportive of "someone might be having a bad day" and giving them a second chance, but Andrea was consistently rude, short and could rarely explain our bills. We are switching to Encinitas Dental Art. read more

I am so grateful to Dr. Chesler and my wonderful hygienist, Lisa, for getting me in so quickly and taking such good care of me during a recent dental concern. If you want great and compassionate dental care, this is the place. I also appreciated all the covid office precautions and, as a result, felt very safe during my visit. I highly recommend this practice! read more

Dr Trang Chesler $ her staff are most professional & understanding of what you need. There is such a warm welcome from Andrea @ the front desk who always greets you with a smile & makes you feel comfortable right away. I appreciate the way they explain what they are doing on every part of the procedure as they work on you! Most of us are already nervous just being there so when you can feel trust, it definitely makes a difference. Thank you Dr Chesler & staff. read more

My first appointment to Dr. Chesler's office was exceptional. Andrea explained all my insurance questions. They are not on my list of providers but I am happier with the personal individual attention at this office than at my previous dental office. Dr. Chesler explains everything in detail. The hygienist spends a full hour with me, not only does she clean my teeth but she gave me instructions on how to do a better job brushing. No one has ever showed me the proper way to floss! Thank you so much!!! read more

From Anderia at the front desk who warmly welcomes patients and makes appointments and billing a breeze to Lisa who goes to great lengths to relate to and make her patients feel comfortable while cleaning their teeth, I am so happy to have found Trang T. Chesler, DDS after moving to the area. The doc is so personable and makes sure that her practice runs smoothly with zero wait time and the best chill environment including nitrous when needed, TVs in the ceiling with headphones for privacy and peace and quiet in the office. Each of them has gone out of their way for this high anxiety dental patience. Thank you all! read more

Dr Chesler is always so welcoming and truly creates a warm community environment. The quality of personal attention she gives to each patient is exceptional. She has a great sense of humor and she's very creative in how and manages the office and honors her clients in unique special ways. I love her and highly recommend!! read more

I have been to this office 3 times for routine cleaning in the span of 18 months. I saw the dentist only 1 time. The other 2 times I was told she left to pick up her kids from school and the 2nd time, I was told she just left but because I had no issues, it wasn't a problem. Please note that I had just seen the Dentist with another patient, but then she left knowing she had other patients?! This does not seem very professional. Everyone was very nice and the place is clean, modern albeit small. However, if I am there to see the dentist, I would like to see the dentist. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Chesler's for a couple of years now, and every visit has been exceptional. Dr. Chesler and her staff are mindful of my history of dental anxiety and put me at ease the entire visit. I wish I would have found this office sooner! All of my appointments begin on time and I have never had any challenges regarding billing. I appreciate their professionalism and the care my husband and I receive from Dr. Chesler and her staff. read more

Who really wants to go to the dentist? But if you have to go, and that's me, you want Dr Chesler looking at your pearly whites. I never thought I would need so much work just to save my teeth, but Dr Chesler and her team were there for me thru all of it. She is the most human doctor I've encountered and she's damn good at what she does. I can't say enough or put into words the gratitude I have that i can still smile today and I'm not dropping dentures into a cup every day at 30. Aside from Dr Chesler, the rest of the staff is beyond amazing, they know who you are and are so gentle and knowledgeable. Thank you read more

Love Dr Chessler and her team. So professional and I swear I could spend all day there. The chairs are so comfy and I just put the head phones on and catch up on some TV time. Being a very busy mom I always look forward to my visits. That's funny to say but so true. read more

Great office, gentle and pleasant.

Dr Trang Chesler and her entire staff are amazing. The office is welcoming, comfortable, and prompt. I can not say enough about Dr Chesler. Never thought I would be writing a favorble review for a dentist, but Dr. Chesler and her staff are the best! I never looked forward to going to the dentist, but this office has changed my mind. Today Dr. Chesler replaced one of my front teeth. Matching and existing crown (other front tooth) is not easy! She did this with ease and the color matches perfect. Cosmetic dentistry is not easy and one wants to choose a dentist that is not only confident but who strives for perfection. With Dr. Chesler she is both. I would recommend her to my family and friends. read more

Dr Trang is a great dentist. She took over for my dentist of 13 years. It was hard to see him go as he was a good friend, however, Dr Trang and the team made it seamless. She is patient, friendly and always has a nice word to say. Priscila is still making me laugh as her hygenist for going on 14 years. I love the staff and will miss them now that I live in Eugene. Who knows maybe I will just fly down to get my teeth cleaned :-) read more

I am so happy with my experience with Dr. Chesler! I was looking for a dentist with expertise with cosmetic bonding. I happen to be a dental hygienist, working for over 25 years in Beverly Hills, and I see many dentist's cosmetic restorative work. Many like to use porcelain veneers although you have to take away much of the tooth structure. When there are minor defects to the tooth, bonding with composite works well...with the right dentist. The use of composite especially on front teeth is very challenging to most dentists. It takes patience, time and a high level of skill. The dentist truly needs to be an artist to match the teeth perfectly. My friend and colleague recommended Dr. Chesler. I live in Los Angeles and decided to drive to San Diego county to redo the discolored composite that had been placed on my front tooth years prior. The picture below speaks for itself. Dr. Chesler does amazing work and the fact that I am missing one third of my front tooth is undetectable. Thank you SO VERY MUCH!! I'm beyond thrilled! You will not be disappointed if you choose Dr. Chesler! read more

I had a great experience with this dental office and Dr. Chesler. If you are looking for an honest doctor with a great staff this is the place to go. Andrea at the front desk is very helpful, up front about costs and was patient with my schedule. My hygienist was extremely thorough and even kept up great conversation throughout my cleaning. Dr. Chesler is very honest and knowledgeable. She explains things simply and I can tell she truly cares about her patients. I will definitely be back! Thank you all for the great experience. read more

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Chesler for almost two years now, and we could not be happier. The office is warm, welcoming, and accommodating. I could not be happier with this dental office. I was in a bad mood this morning going into my appointment, and seriously walked out 200 times happier because Lisa the hygienist is hilarious and just one of the nicest people ever (that's on top of being very knowledgeable on dentistry in general, and gentle with her cleanings and X-rays). Dr. Chesler has provided so much useful advice and many very useful explanations about issues I've had for years that other dentists have not been able to provide any guidance on. I'm also realizing now that if I would have found Dr. Chesler earlier I would have saved thousands of dollars in unnecessary dental costs. My husband has also recently started seeing her and she has provided very useful advice for a couple of his issues as well, where other dentists have been stumped. On top of all of this, their office is adorable and very clean, they give you a free drink when you leave, and today they had a whole spread of treats for Mother's Day that ended up being my breakfast on a rushed morning. This is hands down my absolute favorite dental office experience of all time. read more

This was my third time to this dental office and I've always had a positive experience. Unfortunately my visit from 09/14/18 was extremely unpleasant! My main problem was from the unprofessional customer service from Andrea. There were problems getting an appoint confirmed earlier that week, but a 12pm appointment was finally set for the date above. That morning I called and confirmed my 12pm appointment with Andrea. Then I receive a call at 11:10 with her stating she made a mistake and my appointment was actually at 11am. She asked if I could come right away and I said it would take around 10 minutes. With traffic it took 20 minutes, so 11:30 arrival. With all of this happening, I received a rushed cleaning, as I wasn't given a full appointment. My primary concern was small stains that have been removed here in the past. I asked if they were coming off and I was told the stains were gone. Everything felt very rushed and I wasn't even given a mirror to look at my teeth. I get in my car and look in the mirror to see my stains are still there. I called the office to mention my disappointment and she started being rude and making it seem this was my all my fault. I was also charged full price for service I felt was very incomplete. I was offered another appointment for the next week, but I already had to reschedule work twice the week of my appointment because of the problems confirming with the office. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else, very frustrating. read more
