We started with the ceasar salad, my husband is a big fan of ceasar salad, he said it was delicious and quickly finished it. Then we ordered the rounded funghi pizza, and it was very yummy and finished that as well. We're usually pack lots of left overs but the pizza was devoured. We tried the polenta fried chicken, it wasn't what we thought and was pretty hard to eat. So we tried the ricotta meatballs, which def made up for our previous dish. Wife and I stopped here on the way to siesta key because we saw it was was on the Michelin guide. I would recommend making this a stop as food was great and definitely has a menu that wants us to try more next time we're in the area. We ordered the caesar salad, funghi artisan pizza, polenta fried chicken, and the meatballs. Caesar salad was amazing! I love caesar salad and this is in my top 3. My only regret was not adding the parmesan chicken. Funghi pizza was fantastic and was perfect as a artisan pizza. We're not always fans of Detroit pizza style so love you can get any pizza as an artisan round pizza Meatballs were good, loved the creamy polenta and complemented the marina and meatball perfectly. The polenta friend chicken was our least favorite. Chicken was very fried and sometime to tough to eat. Sounded good on menu but was not our fav. We used to go to 99 bottles for Anthony"s pizza , but when he opened in Gulf Gate the first time we weren't fans.... scroll forward to this new place and have to say it's def the best pizza in town Again ! Took the family out here for dinner! I walk past it every day; saw it got rated Michelin 2026. We made a 415 reservation to avoid lines. Walked right in and sat at our table. Was already 70% full. Ambience was good. Wait staff was friendly and fast. We ordered a lot and it all came super quickly, hot and tasted delicious ! Family loved it!! We ate and were in and out in 45 mins. Super glad we got to try this place! Randomly popped in without a resy because we were on vacay and they were able to seat us at the bar. Located in Gulf Gate among many other pizza restaurants. We started out with a Caesar Salad that was covered with finely shredded cheese. Excellent! They have two types of pizza an Artisan and a Sicilian. I opted for the Sicilian with cup char pepperoni and a honey tomato sauce. The sauce was too tomatoey for my taste and there was much pepperoni so it was hard to taste it. The crust was ok and the edges had baked cheese . Can't say I enjoyed the pizza.My wife ordered Chicken Parm. A huge piece of breaded chicken covered with sauce and cheese. The chicken was very tender and she enjoyed the dish. Highly recommend this place, the pizza is delicious. We were stopping by siesta key and found this pizza place on Google with great reviews. My absolute favorite pizza is Detroit style. We got a regular vodka pizza with caramelized onions and a Detroit style with meatballs and ricotta. They originally forgot our ricotta which isn't a big deal. The regular pizza with the vodka sauce was OUTSTANDING. 10/10 would get again. I was unsure if I would like the vodka sauce on pizza but it was so good! The crust was fluffy and delicious- just how I like it. The Detroit style, unfortunately, didn't impress me as much as the regular pizza. I love red sauce, but their marinara was not my favorite- slightly sweet but lacked depth. The whole pizza just didn't have as much flavor as I would like. It was not terrible but I would probably opt for a different type of Detroit (maybe vodka) or just go for the regular pizza. Still VERY solid choice if you're in the area! read more

WOW...that's was our experience today at Tralia. We arrived at 11 and was greeted by our server Abbi. We opted for 2 pizzas to try both styles: 1 Classic Round and 1 Detroit style Supreme. The classic arrived 1st and we immediately noticed the fresh tomato sauce, perfect amount of cheese and the airest crust I have ever had. This pizza was one of the best I've ever had. Then came the Detroit Supreme. Our 1st Detroit style pie we have ever had. If they all are half as good as this one I'm sold. This version has sausage, mushrooms, peppers, char pepperoni and cheese. The crust was thick but very light. The cheese "crust" was crispy and delish. This place is now on our permanent pizza rotation. Abbi gave us some suggestions for non-pizza entrees. The provolone rings is their take on Mottz sticks and was severed with vodka sauce, extremely good. The Detroit "Slice" of Roni and Honey was absolutely deliciousness in every bite and yes I ate the whole thing.. the mini pepperonis, the sweet sauce, the spicy hot honey, perfect amount of cheese and I have no idea what or how they do the unique crust all around but it was perfection. Stopped in for lunch and so glad we did. We started with the provolone rings. They look like donuts but tasted like mozzarella sticks. Really delicious with a nice dipping sauce. Then we got an mvp pizza Detroit style. Marinara , vodka and pesto sauce combo was dynamite. Crispy crust with toasted cheese on edges was perfect. The service was good our waitress was friendly and attentive. The place is nice inside with a small bar. The owner came over and checked on us. Nice touch. Best gourmet pizza in Sarasota, hands down. I have been a native of Sarasota for 30 plus years and I have seen great pizza joints go out of business. The selection has been so disappointing the last few years, especially in the Gulf Gate area, but Tralia has taken our #1 spot for delicious and fresh ingredient pizza. It is worth every penny. The NY style crust is flakey and crispy. The Detroit style is super crunchy and fulfills my old craving for Pizza Hut pan crust pizza but of course with super high quality ingredients and toppings. The menu had a ton of red and white pizzas to choose from, all of which can be ordered as Detroit-style or round. We ordered a cheese round pizza and vodka sauce Detroit-style. The round pizza was cooked perfectly with a nice blistering on the crust, and the Detroit-style's edging was lined with crispy, melted cheese! What a great find! Arrived a few minutes before our reservations and ended up at the bar. Decided to just stay there, was a great choice. Host was fantastic making drink recommendations and a couple mocktails for our girls. Convo was great with the bartenders, but the food was better!! Only critique is the limited number of pasta dishes if you're not in the mood for pizza. More is not always better. Not normally a vodka sauce guy, great choice. Got there promptly for our reservation, we wanted a booth for three people that we asked for on the reservation..when we got there they said they overbooked their reservations and they were a little behind, but then in the same breath, they sat people that did not have a reservation at all so right away I felt super disrespected, and then they sat us in a booth where my toddler kept sliding off dangerously because the booth is so high up off the ground then I asked to be moved to the corner booth, and after some hesitation from them, I finally just made the decision myself to get us up and move us to the booth because I have had enough and the waitress was absolutely horrible. She never even asked my husband if he wanted a second glass of wine or checked on us throughout our meal we had to constantly ask for her service. I don't know her name and she didn't really introduce herself and she came over to the table super rudely when we first got seated, only way to identify her I is she has tattoos on her neck, especially the back of her neck to be honest both waitresses were horrible and they didn't even provide new plates when we ordered more food and I had to ask for a plate for my child like come on now... Unfortunately, because of how bad it was, we will never be back here and then at the end of the meal she tried to be super nice because of course she wanted a tip the waitress.. and then told us to wait a little bit because our brownie was coming out for our anniversary. Let me just tell you that brownie was absolutely horrible. It was cold. It was thick and crumbly and you should be ashamed at putting out food like that and your macaroni and cheese with truffle was absolutely horrible as well. Never again. Thanks for nothing! read more

Came in on a Wednesday night and the place was already filling up - always a good sign. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly hostess who made us feel right at home. The interior is clean and inviting, with plenty of tables and some bar seating in front of the beer taps. I especially loved the elevated tables along the wall, giving you a great view of the restaurant. Now let's talk about the food. Holy wow. We ordered the Detroit 'Roni with hot honey and were absolutely mind blown. The sourdough-based crust was everything you want in a Detroit-style pie--perfectly crisped on the outside, yet soft, warm, and fluffy inside. That kind of consistency is hard to pull off, but they nailed it. The sweet tomato sauce, layered over crispy pepperoni and finished with a drizzle of hot honey, was a flavor bomb in the best way. Next time, I'm definitely adding jalapeños. We also tried the polenta wings, and I can't even begin to explain how good they were--you just have to experience them. The crispy polenta coating was light and flavorful without that greasy fried taste, and the chicken inside was juicy and cooked to perfection. The homemade buffalo sauce might be a top 5 of all time for me--super thick, rich, and so good I could've eaten it with a spoon. Pair that with their chunky, fresh blue cheese dressing and... wow. Their beer selection is solid and reasonably priced, rounding out an already amazing meal. We had a group of 6 adults and 6 kids, so a larger party, but the experience got off to a rough start. The hostess/server immediately commented that we should have made a reservation, even though the restaurant was nearly empty and we were seated right away. Unfortunately, we then waited about an hour and a half for our pizzas. We were eventually told there was an issue with the dough and that our order had to be remade. To their credit, they gave us a beer on the house, and the pizza itself was very good once it arrived. That said, the combination of the unfriendly welcome and the extremely long wait made for a frustrating experience. Hands-down the Best Italian Food in Sarasota! I visited Sarasota for a month and had just about given up on finding good pizza, after trying three different spots that all missed the mark. Then I stumbled across Tralia on DoorDash, and it was a total game-changer. I ordered the Classic Detroit Pizza, assuming that Sarasota maybe just didn't "do" pizza right. As an operator of a restaurant I would very heavily consider keeping this guy in the back and away from higher stress situations. Have never heard of a bar that denies service to more than 1 person willing to sit. Me and my mother went in and were willing to wait for a table. But here comes power tripping hiring manager saying that one seat is only saved for one person. 2 people... not allowed at his bar.
