Located in Gulf Gate among many other pizza restaurants. We started out with a Caesar Salad that was covered with finely shredded cheese. Excellent! They have two types of pizza an Artisan and a Sicilian. I opted for the Sicilian with cup char pepperoni and a honey tomato sauce. The sauce was too tomatoey for my taste and there was much pepperoni so it was hard to taste it. The crust was ok and the edges had baked cheese . Can't say I enjoyed the pizza.My wife ordered Chicken Parm. A huge piece of breaded chicken covered with sauce and cheese. The chicken was very tender and she enjoyed the dish. Service was very good and just a very plain interior with high top tables and regular tables. I will return and try the Artisan pizza to see if I like it better.. read more

WOW...that's was our experience today at Tralia. We arrived at 11 and was greeted by our server Abbi. We opted for 2 pizzas to try both styles: 1 Classic Round and 1 Detroit style Supreme. The classic arrived 1st and we immediately noticed the fresh tomato sauce, perfect amount of cheese and the airest crust I have ever had. This pizza was one of the best I've ever had. Then came the Detroit Supreme. Our 1st Detroit style pie we have ever had. If they all are half as good as this one I'm sold. This version has sausage, mushrooms, peppers, char pepperoni and cheese. The crust was thick but very light. The cheese "crust" was crispy and delish. This place is now on our permanent pizza rotation. Abbi gave us some suggestions for non-pizza entrees. We went on a crazy busy night. They did not have enough servers and we were there at the table over two hours. Service was hectic, but friendly. I had heard that the pizza was supposed to be among the best in Sarasota, but it fell short to me. Very bland and more like a flatbread than an actual pizza. Maybe I'll try again when they are better staffed, but I did not feel it lived up to the local hype at all. read more

What a great find! Arrived a few minutes before our reservations and ended up at the bar. Decided to just stay there, was a great choice. Host was fantastic making drink recommendations and a couple mocktails for our girls. Convo was great with the bartenders, but the food was better!! Only critique is the limited number of pasta dishes if you're not in the mood for pizza. More is not always better. Not normally a vodka sauce guy, great choice. Absolutely loved this pizza spot! Very cool ambiance, good music, and overall welcoming place. The Cesar salad was fantastic, best I've had in a while. Can't say enough about the pizza! Good pizza. HORRIBLE service!! Place is too small and the booths are so uncomfortable and not a kid friendly place at all! Got there promptly for our reservation, we wanted a booth for three people that we asked for on the reservation..when we got there they said they overbooked their reservations and they were a little behind, but then in the same breath, they sat people that did not have a reservation at all so right away I felt super disrespected, and then they sat us in a booth where my toddler kept sliding off dangerously because the booth is so high up off the ground then I asked to be moved to the corner booth, and after some hesitation from them, I finally just made the decision myself to get us up and move us to the booth because I have had enough and the waitress was absolutely horrible. She never even asked my husband if he wanted a second glass of wine or checked on us throughout our meal we had to constantly ask for her service. I don't know her name and she didn't really introduce herself and she came over to the table super rudely when we first got seated, only way to identify her I is she has tattoos on her neck, especially the back of her neck to be honest both waitresses were horrible and they didn't even provide new plates when we ordered more food and I had to ask for a plate for my child like come on now... Unfortunately, because of how bad it was, we will never be back here and then at the end of the meal she tried to be super nice because of course she wanted a tip the waitress.. and then told us to wait a little bit because our brownie was coming out for our anniversary. Let me just tell you that brownie was absolutely horrible. It was cold. It was thick and crumbly and you should be ashamed at putting out food like that and your macaroni and cheese with truffle was absolutely horrible as well. Never again. Thanks for nothing! read more

Although there are so many pizza places to choose from in Gulf Gate, Tralia is amazing and is definitely one of the top! Our server was extremely sweet and genuine. The menu had a ton of red and white pizzas to choose from, all of which can be ordered as Detroit-style or round. We ordered a cheese round pizza and vodka sauce Detroit-style. The round pizza was cooked perfectly with a nice blistering on the crust, and the Detroit-style's edging was lined with crispy, melted cheese! We live in Gulf Gate and usually order takeout from Sal's but we wanted to try something a little more gourmet. I happened upon Tralia because Artisan was closed. I'm so glad I did because the pizza is divine. We had the Detroit style sausage and the NY style pepperoni for my son. The three of us ate very well and were completely satisfied. When I picked up the order I noticed that there is a cute Italian bistro vibe with a full bar for done in guests. 3 nights later I was out, post Christmas shopping and my husband and son asked me to pick up Tralia again. I added the calamari and polenta fried wings and again, we feasted on some of the best food. The wings were super crispy as well as the calamari. Decent portions for the price. Came in on a Wednesday night and the place was already filling up - always a good sign. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly hostess who made us feel right at home. The interior is clean and inviting, with plenty of tables and some bar seating in front of the beer taps. I especially loved the elevated tables along the wall, giving you a great view of the restaurant. Now let's talk about the food. Holy wow. We ordered the Detroit 'Roni with hot honey and were absolutely mind blown. The sourdough-based crust was everything you want in a Detroit-style pie--perfectly crisped on the outside, yet soft, warm, and fluffy inside. That kind of consistency is hard to pull off, but they nailed it. The sweet tomato sauce, layered over crispy pepperoni and finished with a drizzle of hot honey, was a flavor bomb in the best way. Next time, I'm definitely adding jalapeños. We also tried the polenta wings, and I can't even begin to explain how good they were--you just have to experience them. The crispy polenta coating was light and flavorful without that greasy fried taste, and the chicken inside was juicy and cooked to perfection. The homemade buffalo sauce might be a top 5 of all time for me--super thick, rich, and so good I could've eaten it with a spoon. Pair that with their chunky, fresh blue cheese dressing and... wow. Their beer selection is solid and reasonably priced, rounding out an already amazing meal. Hands-down the Best Italian Food in Sarasota! I visited Sarasota for a month and had just about given up on finding good pizza, after trying three different spots that all missed the mark. Then I stumbled across Tralia on DoorDash, and it was a total game-changer. I ordered the Classic Detroit Pizza, assuming that Sarasota maybe just didn't "do" pizza right. Turns out, the other places don't, and thankfully, Tralia absolutely does. My best friend came to visit for three nights, and we ended up eating at Tralia every single day. Yes, it's that good. So good that she took 4 pizzas on the plane with her back to Texas. HA! Some of what we tried: * Caesar Salad - Fresh, crisp, perfectly balanced dressing * Hot Honey Pizza - Sweet, spicy, and totally addictive * Detroit Classic - Pillowy crust, out of this world red sauce, and just the right amount of cheese that crisps along the edges in the most magical way. **Do yourself a favor and get a side of the Fennel Pollen Ranch for dipping * Ricotta Meatballs - Tender, juicy, full of flavor, nestled on the most delicate plantain goodness and topped with their fantastic marinara sauce. I've been a fan of Tralia since their pizza pop-ups years back, and am so happy they've established as a restaurant. Both "styles" of pizza are a delight, and the winning flavor combos make it difficult to choose - because they're all so tasty. I love that they've broadened the menu over the years to include salad, wings, and other tasty treats. Having a sourdough pizza crust really makes them stand out from all the other pizza joints. Love the new location in Gulf Gate. It is in the old screaming goat taco location. On Mondays they have in dining pizza specials. $10 round and $12 Detroit style, with items available for $1.50 each. There is a great bar with seating and 3 TV's as well. Best of all, the pizza is outstanding. I love the Detroit style. The sauce has a hint of both sweet and spicy making it so different from anything else available in Sarasota. I will say they don't go heavy on items, and it's still amazing. I would like to see more items on the menu. Maybe a greek salad, maybe a sandwich or pasta option. Last, the wait staff was very attentive and personable. Try it out. Exceptional pizza! read more

Have you ever had the experience of taking a bite of something so delicious, your reaction was to close your eyes and smile in pure bliss? That was my immediate reaction when I took a bite of the Funghi Deep dish pizza from Tralia. The funghi white pizza is made with a garlic cream sauce as the base and I added vegan mozzarella which alongside the goat cheese, gave the center of the pizza a decadent, savory quality. The creamy blend of goat cheese, vegan mozzarella and garlic cream in the center of the pizza almost reminded me of bechamel. The edges on the corner slices from the rectangular pie had this unique taste/texture that reminded of home made Parmesan crisps that you baked on a silicone baking mat. If an emoji could summarize my experience eating Tralia's deep dish pizza, it would be the mind-blown emoji. Amazing little pizza joint with a cool interior. It is surrounded by shops and bars too, and stays open pretty late. They serve Detroit Style and a style like Neapolitan, but only much crispier. I highly suggest the latter of the two, but both are great. The service is excellent too, but I have not visited it yet while busy. read more
