Poke nachos
Alison L.

This place is a great place to come study or do some work. The place is fairly big so you'll likely find a place to settle in. The menu is pretty big as well so you'll find something you like. The poke nachos were very good! The coffee is good as well, I wish it was more convenient for me to go but when I get the chance I do try and go. It is located a little off the main path but there is a huge parking lot and a grocery store next door so it's convenient

Love trailhead! Whether it's a quick stop for coffee or an evening out with friends Trailhead is the place to be. My favorite food items are their Burrata Plate and their Wild Mushroom Pizza. Recently they've had a few specials and I tried (and enjoyed) the apricot toast. I also love their back room area. We needed a spot to hold an event and they were so helpful and accommodating. Can't wait to come for their bingo or trivia night! This place really does seem to have something for everyone and is a must if visiting Novato.

Trailhead is a great place to sit and work or read or chat with a friend while having a drink (coffee, smoothie or beer)... food is pretty good. Breakfast burrito, sandwiches, salads, burgers. I wish there was more snacky type stuff other than pastries or the huge shareable plates.

Matcha was ok, but definitely needed more sugar. Rest of the menu looked very good and I was tempted to try the food but it was a quick stop.

Exposed insulation.

This place is so cool! The service is horrible. Nice young people but they do not hustle. Hot wings were under cooked. Had to ask for them to turn the music on three times. Felt like a library during football season. Messed up side order as well. Service is painfully slow. Cool space though. Hope they can pick up the pace and maybe seal up the exposed insulation.

Great that the owner reached out after my last review, looking forward to trying them again.

Came here again Sunday morning with my boyfriend. Whoever took our order was on it and very welcoming. I got a sausage egg burrito and the same order of my iced matcha (oat milk + sweetened with honey). He ordered a warm Oat chai. I had no issues with my sausage egg burrito, it was absolutely delicious and filling! It came with a spicy salsa which added a nice kick. I did have issues with my matcha. It definitely depends on who makes it! I was looking forward to having one again because of how awesome it was made last time but this time, it was not good. The matcha wasn't mixed well so the drink was gritty and it was too milky that the matcha flavor wasn't there. My boyfriend has a sensitivity to whole milk so he orders oat milk. Once he got his drink, he had me try and compare it to my drink because we both had ordered oat milk. The person who made his Chai had added whole milk rather than oat milk. It was unfortunate and disappointing. ): I know people have bad days. But hopefully mistakes like the wrong milk--can hopefully be looked at more thoroughly.

Menu changes ! Nice selection

Food was good but pricey. ie. Wings $18.75. Beer and wine available. Order at counter with inexperienced workers. Awkward layout.

I had some delicious chicken strips, and my wife enjoyed a burger on a gluten-free bun with sweet potato fries. You get a number, and they bring the food out to your table. Everything was tasty--exactly the kind of comfort food you want while enjoying a brewery day. I also had a flight, and I LOVE that their flights are 3oz pours. It's perfect for trying a bunch of beers and figuring out what you like. There were lots of choices, and my IPA flight was a fun tasting experience--I enjoyed every one of them. All in all, Crooked Goat Brewing made a great first impression. I'd definitely come back!

I honestly didn't realize how much I'd enjoy playing pinball until coming here--there aren't many spots that have that kind of unique feature anymore, and it really added to the experience. I went for a Yelp Elite event, and it was great. The owner was there and super welcoming, and his staff were genuinely nice and attentive. We were given bracelets that gave us access to two drinks, which was a fun self-pour experience. That said, it would've been helpful to get a quick tip on pouring (like tilting your glass) beforehand--foam can sneak up on you fast , especially with so many people around. Because it was busy, we were also given a card that allowed unlimited access to the games, which was awesome and made the night even better. I definitely enjoyed my time here. The prices aren't any lower, even though there is no waiter coming for your table, just the opposite. There is no host to see you, and you can share tables, so it's quite uncomfortable in some situations. The other issue is there are kids running around that is not the fault of the restaurant but the clientele. Kids are running in and out the door playing on the sidewalk out front and overall just make an uncomfortable experience to have adult beverages, unless you're the kind of parent who likes to speak inappropriately and drink inappropriately in front of your children. None of this is really the biggest issue, which is the food is absolutely terrible. They should just serve crackers and cheese or something premade somewhere else. Lastly, the parking is terrible as there is none. It's a dangerous area of fourth Street with people speeding up right where the front doors are to enter Mericle mile. Please be careful especially with your children. It's strange to me why people think a place is good or cool just because they serve alcohol. This place is not good, but especially I can tell you that it is not cool. The clientele are very trendy, dorky, yuppies trying to be cool!!! one piece of advice for the restaurant and the customers is you can't try to be cool. Either you are cool or you're not and then most cases you're not! It's just because a place has beer doesn't make it cool, and just because you go there with your kids doesn't make you cool! Again, the real problem with the place is simply lack of originality and terrible food, as well as boring people who are spoiled brats!

I'd happily praise the kitchen and the service team. I can't say the same about the billing. The menu states that a 4% surcharge is added to all food and beverage sales to cover the cost of "the Petaluma living wage initiative." That sounds official, but it isn't accurate. Petaluma's Living Wage Ordinance applies only to city employees and for-profit businesses that contract with the city -- not to private restaurants. Restaurants like this one fall under the city's separate minimum wage ordinance instead. Neither ordinance requires, authorizes, or involves a surcharge on customers. In other words, the 4% is the restaurant's own business decision about its labor costs, dressed up as a city mandate. A restaurant is free to set its prices to cover its costs -- that's what menu prices are for. But attributing a surcharge to a city "initiative" that doesn't apply to the restaurant misleads diners into thinking the city imposed it, which isn't true. I'll remember the good meal and the great server. I'll also remember the fee, and that's what will keep me from coming back.
