I visited Trailer Plus last week late in the afternoon. I had first called ahead to let someone know I was headed their way from Temecula (at about 3:00 pm, which is about an hour from them). Jason informed me that they would be closing at 5:30 but was more than happy to help me out once I arrived. At about 4:30 I hadn't quite arrived and Jason gave me a quick call to check in with me...I found this to be above and beyond...taking an extra minute that most people would not take to keep in contact with his possible new customer. Upon arrival I found Jason to be very warm and very informative. I wasn't exactly sure what size trailer I needed and he was very accommodating with information and suggestions throughout my visit. There were two other guys there as well who were also very friendly and helped with questions that I had. Had an appointment, waited an 1-1/2 hours to be told to come back the next day. Guys in the office were nice but trailer service sucks. Truck keep giving us error message to check wiring, called Trailers Plus left two messages and no one called back, my husband had to tighten several of the wires that were barely connected to fix the problem himself. And also got a screw in one of the tires only to find that all 4 tires were under inflated by 20lbs each. Will never by another trailer here. read more

Where do I start, after driving 1 and half hours to this place. Everyone went to lunch at the same time. I had to wait until their lunch was over. Met with the sale manger Jose. I had reserved a 5x8 enclosed trailer online, when Jose showed me the new 2017 trailer it had several dents in it. I was not going to pay 2,300.00 for a dented trailer. Jose then tried to sell me another trailer at a higher price. TrailersPlus should have listened the trailer as damage instead of wasting my gas and time. I just bought a 5 1/2' by 10' trailer from Trailers Plus of Redlands and could not be more happy. I live quite a bit closer to Carson trailers and was referred to them by the company I purchased my buggy from, but when I called them, they had no idea what they were doing. I called Trailers Plus to see if they could better help me and Michael was amazing. I told him I was new to this, what my budget was and he talked me through the whole thing. He never pressured me to come out to the store and took his time talking to me. When I got there today, Brian helped me and again I was surprised at how helpful he was as well. Being a woman and walking into a trailer yard can be a little intimidating but they made me feel so comfortable. Brian walked me out and measured the trailers with me and we discussed what would be best for me keeping my budget in mind. With very little searching on the lot in Redlands, we found what we were looking for. The customer service was more than I expected buying a trailer. Most places we went too did not seem to be excited to show anything with very little help. This place asked us a few question and basically took us out to look at the trailer we were looking for. They informed us about all options that could be added. I guess what I liked the most was that they would install these options or we could get all the hardware and do it ourselves, no pressure. What sold me the most was the Quality of the trailer and the price, They also provide service on their trailer, Big Plus I would recommend Trailer Plus to anyone that is looking for a Quality trailer with a Quality Price. We bought a CARRYON 5X8 trailer in 2012 from the TRAILERSPLUS Redlands, California location. We paid the fee to the dealership to send the documentation to DMV in order to get our registration and license plates. The day after we moved to an out of country location (hence the purchase of a trailer) We waited more than a year to receive the license plates & title to our forwarding address in California, but never received them. The trailer has been in the garage since 2012 because we cannot use it without the registration and the plates. We are now trying to sell it, which we can't do without the title. We called DMV last year. They told us to call the dealership as they never received any documentation for this trailer. I contacted Brian at TrailersPlus Redlands a few months ago and he was less than willing to help. He said his dealership had nothing else to do with this trailer. I called Brian again this week following instructions of DMV. He was reluctant to take my call and when he finally did, he was extremely rude and unhelpful. The attitude is horrible. Not a good experience. We are very upset that TrailersPlus didn't follow up and file everything with the DMV and DIDN'T pay the money we paid them. We feel as though we have been scammed!! SO BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO BUSINESS WITH TRAILERSPLUS IN ANY LOCATION.......they don't follow through and they have a less than helpful attitude towards their clients once they get your money. read more

I read the other reviews but found only horrible customer service here. Forget about service after the sale. It doesn't exist at Trailers Plus. I purchased a small utility trailer that appeared to be high quality. The next day as I was pulling the trailer to pick up an item, the ramp latch pin assembly fell off. I called the selling yard as well as the corporate office. They assured me it would be fixed immediately and referred me to their Redlands site. I live about 2 hours from that facility. What a big mistake to go there. Mike Mikesell is the manager of that facility and has an attitude that says "I don't care." He said he would get a picture of the broken part to the manufacturer (Carry-On Trailers in Georgia) immediately and then make the repair. I found out later from the factory that parts were not requested for 1-1/2 weeks. After a week, I called to ask the status. Mike's reply in every communication was the same: "You don't have to ask me. I will let you know when I have the part." He would not provide any information about status. Two weeks later, I emailed again and asked about the status. Same reply. He would not give me the factory's warranty contact information. I googled it and called the factory after 2-1/2 weeks of not being able to use the trailer. The factory jumped on the problem immediately. They told me the parts would be shipped overnight to Mike. I emailed Mike the good news. He said he would advise when the parts arrived but that the factory was sending the parts second day air. Of course, Mike got the parts the next day. He didn't realize the factory gave me tracking info so I knew what was happening. Then Mike said the parts were wrong. Wait another day. Then Mike said he had the parts but couldn't put them on until 7 days later. When I asked why he hadn't told me that before and had me go to a different Trailers Plus site, he responded by saying he now couldn't put the parts on for 12 days. It was unbelievable. I had managed to ask too many questions and get on his nasty side. At that point I called the factory again. Even though I wasn't their customer because I bought the trailer from Trailers Plus, they jumped on the situation. The factory had the correct parts in my hand by noon that day from another trailer dealer and then sent me to Carson Trailers in Gardena to have the repair made. My trailer was back in operation that afternoon. The factory said they were embarrassed by the lack of service from their dealer. My advice about Trailers Plus in Redlands is to stay far away from them. Buy a different trailer brand if you need one. But don't let Mike Mikesell get involved in any situation you face. Customer service with a scowl is his motto. read more

I attempted to buy a trailer that I had picked out online. My friend arrived at 4:30 and told them what I wanted, I arrived at 5:15 to complete the sale. They wanted to close early, at 5:30, even though business hours were supposed to be until 6 and refused to make the sale, asking me to return the next day. I spent hours driving for nothing. I was to receive a call the next day and I did not. I talked to a cust. service rep who advised me to do a hold, which I did online. Hours later the salesman called to say they'd sold it to someone else. Completely unprofessional, all because they wanted to cut out of work early! read more

I started my search online. First off, their website is incredibly easy to use and does have up to date inventory information. Then, once I found the trailer I wanted I called and made an appointment with JT. He was great. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me some different options. No pressure sales and definitely did not try to up-sell me. I did end up going with a different trailer than I had originally thought because it better suited my needs and the color matched my truck. I purchased the Interstate Pro Series 6X10 Cargo Trailer. The entire process was great and clearly explained to me. We did a lot of research before making our way to the Redlands Trailers Plus location. They had several of the models that we were interested in with various features. We made a reservation of one of the trailers online before driving to the lot. Kristin immediately came to meet me in the parking lot and happily demonstrated all the features pros and cons off the different models. She even posed in pictures that I took to text back home to show scale and ease of use. All of the trailers are in great condition and the lot was well organized and easy to check out the trailers. Kristin was great, letting me ask lots of questions, sometimes repeating the questions, I'm sure--she was always patient and helpful. I did not feel pressured to buy or hassled about what I knew or didn't know about trailers. A very positive experience. Got a good price on an excellent trailer. Drove down to trailers plus to purchase a trailer after dealing with Jason (JT) over the phone. He was very kind and helpful. We were super excited to make our purchase for our new razor but unfortunately when we got there we had to deal with the manager named Brian who gave us the worst vibes as soon as we walked in the door. He was more concerned about himself and his lunch then helping the (full) waiting room of customers who were wanting to make purchases. I don't why is the world he is in the position he is but trailers plus would be a million times better or a business without him in it. I really like the trailer and the first representative who helped us by the name of Jason; he was awesome and very friendly and apologetic for the inconvenience of closing down for an hour to take lunch.
