They told me to come in so they could take a look at my RV when I got there they told me that they didn't have any time to even look at it, so if I would have bought propane, then he would've had time to come look at it ? But he couldn't leave the office come on now that's bs .. customer is service horrible! Went right down the street to Raul's and he had it fixed within a hour! We stored our RV here in Wipperts lot and never had any issues. Friendly people! The only down side about storing the RV there was they are closed on weekends, so if planning a trip, you need to keep that in mind so you can get your camper out before the weekend. Called Wippert's to schedule service. their scheduling out 60 days for service seems excessive from a customer point of view. All of the repair items and services I was seeking, I was able to schedule and have completed within a 3 week period. Wippert's would not do the repair of the Water Heater Bypass Valve due to difficult location and did not want to do the repair. I located a RV repair shop in Mentone that scheduled me in with a 2 week waiting period, was able to complete all repairs requested at a fair and honest price. When Wippert's replaced my 4 Trojan house batteries after I purchased the coach used, there was a cable laying across one of the batteries that was supposed to be mounted to the side of battery compartment. On our first outing, we went to Death Valley to dry camp for 4 days. When we got there, the house batteries were completely dead. We were forced to leave Death Valley and ended up in a full hook up site 60 miles away in Pahrump, NV. While there I called in a mobile repair service. The technician identified in less than 5 minutes the loose cable on the battery said it most likely had shorted and mounted it on the side wall where it belonged ( I feel Wippert's erred by not correcting this defect when replacing the house batteries). Shortly after returning from the trip, I noticed that the one battery was swollen and the top was raised. I took it back to Wippert's and they charged me to replace the bad battery and re-used the Pro fill battery watering kit, that I had them install when the batteries were installed. For more than 2 years now, the replaced battery has leaked water when filling with the Pro Fill system (all the other batteries are fine). I called Pro Fill and they told me the kit is not designed to be re-used when replacing batteries. Wippert's said they could not source the Pro Fill 2 battery kit. I ordered it on Amazon and had in 2 days. With the current supply chain issues, sourcing product and parts can be a challenge, but if you remain persistent often times you find what you need out there somewhere. Anyway, I have a new living room slide awning, non leaking, functioning house battery system and a repaired water heater by pass valve all done in less than 3 weeks after scheduling. Apologies for the late review. We've had some personal long-term issues that we've been dealing with. Don't patronize Wippert's RV repair!! They received over $10,000 for a unsatisfactory roof job. Wippert's got paid a total of $10,541.65 to install a new roof on our Wilderness RV and replace a couple of pieces of water damaged wood (if needed). $8,748.17 AAA insurance paid $1,793.48 we paid Parts $3,074.61 Labor $7,468.75 We WERE loyal Wippert's customers for 30+ years, we always want to support our local businesses. We took our Wilderness RV to Wippert's in early May 2021 to get a new roof put on. Told Danny Wippert to take his time but we would like it within a timely manner. Started asking about timelines in July. AAA insurance called us in early August and asked if we had our RV and were happy with the work done so they could close the claim. We told AAA that we didn't have it yet, they said they would call Wippert' as this was a long time to close this type of claim. We finally picked the RV up late August 2021 then resolved the issues mid-September 2021. After reading some other reviews, we agree that Wippert's staff is fine until there's a problem then they become totally different people. I took before and after pictures so there was no issue that some of the work was totally unsatisfactory. If Danny Wippert would have told us about the errors before we discovered them and just acknowledged the errors from the beginning and taken responsibility our opinions would be different. Integrity goes a long way. Problems: Master bedroom - *Roof vent with fan was not installed in the same location on the roof. It was originally centered, it was installed approximately 14" off center which made the vent location directly above the bed. I could not reach the vent controls and after further inspection neither could my husband. Had to climb on the bed to reach the controls. * 2 sets of small lights and 2 sets of small vents were not lined up with each other, off by 2-3", so aesthetically it looks hodge podged * 5 1/2 "gimp molding was missing below a top cabinet * (2) 12" inside cabinet, ceiling seam moldings were missing * poor clean up in upper cabinet - found a lot of sawdust debris and used nails * missing 3 large used towels After many tense phone calls and in-person discussions, they offered one of the following: 1. Re-do the roof (Never - Don't trust them) 2. Install a Maxx Air Vent over the existing vent and install the missing molding (Google searched and this vent costs approximately $25-$30). 3. Satisfy our request to be compensated $500. Danny said if we chose this one "he was done" and wouldn't complete the work but would provide the decorative gimp molding and cabinet seam covers. He was paid for a complete job. Resolution: We chose to accept the $500 compensation and receive the missing materials. When I went to retrieve the check and the items, I was shown a piece of gimp molding that was 5' long. The missing piece was 5'6" long. I was told they used existing materials so obviously they used the wrong piece in this section and cut the correct piece to fit somewhere else. They ordered more molding and I came back a few days later to pick that up. They never found the 3 used large towels. Wippert's received over $10,000 for this unsatisfactory job. We suggest if you need RV repairs to do your research and get bids from other vendors. Don't patronize or trust this "local" vendor! read more

Prior to today we would have recommended this business and have, as a matter of fact, many times. Apparently Jay Delgado is great until you get on his bad side. We paid $2200 to have front landing gear put in our 5th wheel. We pulled it from Whippert's about 20 miles to a storage facility where it had remained until today. Today we towed it to a Regional Park and when we tried to unhitch, the landing gear on both sides traveled 8" past where they were supposed to stop. We couldn't even unhitch from our truck. Jay had the nerve to imply that someone came into the secure, locked and gated storage facility and sabotaged our landing gear. In order to do that they would have had to break into the storage facility and force open the hatch lock. There was no damage to the hatch lock. And why would anyone have any motivation to do that? We were also supposed to pick up our grandsons from school which we couldn't do because we couldn't unhitch. My husband, after two very difficult hours of labor, managed to repair what they installed incorrectly. Jay's only solution was that we bring the RV back to them and wait for the next available appointment, "probably next week sometime". We are extremely disappointed because we really thought we could trust this business. Some employees are very nice. We won't ever go there again. read more

Needed help with our Winegard G3 on our trailer. We were thinking we were going to have to upgrade the satellite antennae because the one we had installed wasn't letting us watch TV while recording a show. We had talked with Directv Tech Support & Winegard Tech support. Neither company could come up with a solution. Spoke with Jay & he researched the problem & came up with a solutions. He never once suggested upgrading the antennae or anything that would have cost a lot more money. He came up with a practical solution, installed the new cable & tested the signal. We have been going to this business since we moved to Yucaipa and they have always been very honest and friendly to us. Their prices often are more reasonable than some of the larger RV businesses near by. Any time we go in their store, we are always greeted with a smile and a pleasant attitude. We recently purchased a Jeep Liberty to tow behind our motorhome. Took it over and had them install a Blue Ox towing system. They gave us a quote that was reasonable and although there was a minor change, they were very fair in their price as the change was our decision not theirs. In fact they had to correct a problem that Giant RV of Murrieta had screwed up for us and didn't even charge us. They are fair and very reliable. I went in there yesterday around 5:00. I had a flat tire outside the business. I changed the tire but found the spare was extremely low on air. I walked inside the store and told the man sitting at the desk texting on his phone I had a problem with a flat and the spare with low pressure and asked him if he/I could use the air hose to fill the tire. (The large compressor and air hose was 10 feet from the store entrance) I told him that had my family with me and it would help me greatly. He looked up said he was not able to help us. I have been in this store over the past several years as I have had numerous trailers and RVs over the years. It has always been my thought to support our local merchants beyond the price comparison of inter/web sales. I've always felt a business with quality customer service out weighed a small price increase of that local business. It is my belief and understanding that customer service just does not go along with making a sale. It is also about supporting your community. I've used Wippert's twice for repairs and a number of times for parts and accessories. I'm giving 4 stars for parts and accessories and 5 starts for repairs. I have no experience with their RV Sales dept. Parts Store: The place is small so their stock is limited, which is why 4 and not 5 stars. But, they do carry a number of universal items. Things like levels, handles, plumbing parts, vent covers, propane accessories, etc. I like that they are local so I don't have drive out to Camping World and don't have to wait for internet delivery. The staff is always helpful in finding the item(s) I need. Last year I needed to replace one scissor jack on my Dad's trailer and all Wippert's had was a set of two in a box. They opened the box and sold me just one at half the cost of the set. That was a stand-up move. I will continue buying parts from them. RV Repair: Two years ago they replaced my 20 foot awning; just the fabric part. I had called around to a few other places in the East Valley and Wippert's charged roughly what the others had quoted. The work was good and performed in a timely manner. Very happy. Then around Christmas time (2013) we were camping and a strong wind storm picked up and blew the awning up and over the other side of the trailer. And of course it did a heck of a lot of damage, including tearing the almost brand new awning Wippert's had replaced the previous year. I took the trailer to them and they quoted a fair price. My insurance paid them and the work was again performed well and in a timely manner. The staff treated me very well during the whole process, they always do actually. I was particularly pleased that they had no problem with me picking my trailer up during the middle of the repair process to go on an important camp trip with the group I belong to. They were done with all the repairs except for the new awning arms and roller which hadn't come in from the manufacturer at the time I needed my trailer. I returned the trailer after the weekend and when the awning parts came in a couple days later they finished up the work. I am pleased with the results. I obviously have no knowledge of what transpired with the people in the negative reviews below. But I have dealt with Tawny and a couple of the fellows in there quite a few times over the past few years and I find them to be honest and competent. I recommend Wippert's. read more

Why, in this day and age of customer service does one have a 5 gal. min for a propane purchase one asks? When you take a 5 gal cylinder and it takes only 4.3 gals, and you politely ask for a credit receipt for the .7 gals so you were unable to take, you get told no. After all, did I not buy 5 gals? Did they enter into a contract to provide me with 5 gals of propane? Would have kept me as a customer had he said sure, come back as soon as you can and I'll give you your .7 gals of propane in another cylinder. But the word NO and attitude that went along with asking me if I had read the sign went far enough for me to never return again. Thanks read more

They replaced the door locks, which did not go well they swung open. We took it back and they fixed the problem. They do good work and seem to be honest. However be careful when you ask for repairs, we got the wrong thing fixed and had to pay for it. When we called after we realized it was the wrong repair we were told to bring our business elsewhere. We brought our 1989 Winnebago to Wippert's because it recently failed smog and needed the problem diagnosed and fixed. Wippert's had no problem figuring out the issue on our classic rv, and was able to fix it and even take it to a local smog check station to pass smog. (And all of this after an RV mechanic the next town over told us they didn't know why the RV wouldn't pass smog.) Needless to say, we're happy with Wippert's! read more

Brought my 5th wheel in due to lippert slide issues, they where very helpfull and went out of their way trying to solve the problem, they trouble shot issue with Lippert, Forrest River and Prime Time. The recommendations from Prime Time and Lippert where a 25% chance of working and not a full fix. Wipperts finally recommended that I take unit to Forrest River plant. Even though they where unable to achieve a fix at Wipperts I would bring my unit to them anytime if work is needed. Great to see how they handled a difficult situation. Great customer service they kept me informed. Update: Took 5th wheel to Forrest River plant then over to LCI (Lippert) in Rialto and they fixed the slide and operating better then when I bought it. Repair time at LCI was 12 manhours. read more

If I could give these guys a zero rating I would. I have gone to these guys several times just for convenience as they are in the same town I live in. They have mis diagnosed my issue and wanting to charge me again because the rv was in storage and not in use immediately after they worked on it. They also connected my living room slide backwards and it took them 2 weeks to fix. They also worked on my rear slide, told me the motor was loose and it took 800 plus 2 weeks for them to tell me that it was a loose conductor originally installed. Save your $$$ and go where they care about their customers. Never again!! After I told the owner I cannot believe he is charging me to diagnose again after they didn't do it right he told me to have a good day and ended the call. read more

Whippets promised me after my husband died that they would put my motor home on consignment. Once the rv was there they started telling me all the things that needed to be done . I already put 800.00 dollars in it. Another 2000 it cost would have to be done before putting it in consignment. They never told me that before. The daughter in the office is rude and has no compassion for customers. When I took it off consignment I had to pay 60 dollars for storage. When I questioned the bills they kept sending me she told me she was tired of arguing and come and get my rig. That is when I called Giant Rv. Giant Rv came jumped the rv because they never told me I needed a new battery. Giants Rv took the rv and bought it from me and now I don't have to worry about it anymore. I am upset because every year for about 10 years we always took it to Whippets for repairs and yearly maintenance Very disappointed in how I was lied to and treated. read more

As a new motor home owner, I wanted to find a local RV shop to help me with my new, used motor home. Unfortunately, Wippert's does not feel the same way about the locals that I do. I had over $1600 worth of work done last June. Part of the work done was resealing the seams around a sky light, which appeared to be leaking. After the reseal job, I traveled through a heavy storm in Colorado, and the reseal seamed to clear up the problem- there were no leaks to be found. My victory was short lived. After this past winter storm, there were signs of leaking, again. I covered the motor home and waited for nicer weather before attempting to look for the problem. Once on the roof top of the motor home, I immediately noticed the reseal around the sky light had several large cracks in it. HMMMMM! could that be where the water is getting in? I called Wippert's to ask if the Dicor lap seal is suppose to last longer than 6 months. They in return called Dicor, who refused to take credit for the faulty sealant. Wippert's also refused to take credit. So, after spending over $400 on a seal job that lasted less than six months, I have to do it all over again, myself, because neither the manufacture or the repair shop are willing to correct the lousy job they did on my sky light. Come mon! It would take them probably 20 minutes to fix it, but instead they would rather have an unhappy customer who has a big mouth. Am I being unreasonable? read more
