We visited this TRAILER PARK AFTER DARK in GASLAMP to check them out. It's a simple restaurant with Actual Trailers inside. The first time we came we didn't enjoy it , this place is super packed, every table is occupied, hard to walk around since there are also a lot of people just standing everywhere chatting with their drinks. BUT on the second time we visited, we came a bit earlier than the night we finally enjoyed this place because we saw all the beauty of the things here. The inside of this place there are Trailers with actual furniture inside, outside, so you really can feel that you are in a Trailer. Inside the Grocery Cart that they used as a chair in their Bar, the condiments holder is a Tackle box, and trash can they used as a Light for the dining table. We also tried their Food, my Wife got the Chicken wings and a cocktail, me and my Son had the TV dinner tray. Mine was the meatloaf with steamed veggies, brownies, mashed potatoes, and a jello shot , my Son got the same, a TV dinner menu as well, the only difference is that his was Chicken fingers as his main. Food was just okay. My son's fried chicken were dry and few were burnt. Great Music, country music was playing when we were there, great staffs , parking as always is hard to find in the Gaslamp. The Trailers are available for rent, so it's a nice touch while hanging out with Friends or Family while dining. To rent the trailers u have to pay a fee and have multiple people with you to make the fee more affordable. The place did look cute inside but not what I expected. Food was great and although I could give it a lower score but I felt sorry for some of the employees because there was only 1 waitress on a Saturday night and she was hustling and taking care the best she could and the bartenders helped as much as they could and this was our second time being there. Super epic decor and so much funny stuff to explore. Drinks are well mixed and hit the mark. Some of our friends opted out of the hard liquor and went for beers as they were the large ones (I think 25 Oz os so and came wrapped in a paper bag. Now, the drinks--incredible. They serve cocktails in red Solo cups. Genius. Just like a backyard party, but with world-class mixology. I had something called the 'White Trash Old Fashioned'--which, by the way, fantastic name, probably written by a marketing genius. It was smooth, strong, absolutely presidential. The people? Fantastic crowd. Everyone's here to have a great time. Nobody's acting fancy, nobody's showing off--just good old-fashioned fun. The kind of place where you walk in a stranger and leave with ten new best friends. Maybe even a cousin or two (don't ask me how, but it happens). Highly recommended!!! We stumbled across this by accident. With no real plans for a night out, we saw the front doorman standing and checking ID's. This got our attention. One ID's were checked, we were directed down some stairs, from the street. It looked interesting. We arrived after 7:30, which was great for beating the crowd later. Once inside, we immediately felt like we were somewhere else! They had some small camper trailers setup as seating areas inside and out. The bar had some interesting seats made from shopping carts. They had string lights made from red solo cups. Drinks were amazing, with the friendly servers who are kind enough to help you chose your poison. I can't finish this review without mentioning the DJ. He was on point playing everything...yes EVERYTHING! He played mostly hip hop from 2000-present, but played some pop, country, 80's, oldies, 90's and much more. The dance floor got packed at about 9pm and stayed that way until closing. Although it was packed, there was still room to get around. We also enjoyed the self-serve water coolers available. This place is kind of hard to find. It is not marked very well. It is actually located downstairs and if it were not for the doorman, I would have passed it up. This place is awesome. They left no detail out. They have a nice sized dining area and full bar with seating. The seats at the bar are made from old shopping carts and the lights are made from milk crates. They have music playing throughout the bar. The decor and vibe is awesome. They also have a couple of trailers in there. I have no idea how they got them in there. But you can sit in them and they have front yards with lawn chairs that you can sit as well. One of the trailers has video games that you can play. Other chairs in there are from a fly fishing boat and the table clothes are real tree. There is a little photo op spot off to the side with a trailer backdrop where you can strike your favorite pose. They have a fun little menu with themed signature cocktails. Some of the menu items include the Sloppy Joe Dirt, Double wide or single wide burgers, wings and tv dinners.....Yes, TV dinners. And no trailer park would be complete without PBR, or Busch can beers with brown paper bag included. They really left no detail out. They bring you silverware, napkins, and condiments out to your table in a tackle box, which is pretty cool if you as me. The staff there was friendly and helpful. I ordered the Frito Pie and Kitchen Sink Tots. Surprisingly, it was good. Most gimmick places have "ok" food, but this food was pretty good. If you plan on driving here, you have the basic downtown options. You can try to snag a metered street spot or park in one of the nearby garages or lots. I recommend trying to get one of the metered spots, if possible, to save a few bucks. Anyway, this is a fun little spot. I really enjoyed it and recommend checking it out. read more
