    Chicken and waffles

Looking for dog friendly place to eat lunch. Their outside turf patio was perfect for the furbaby. Picnic table seating with umbrellas so good for nice weather days, not so much rainy. I ordered their spicy chicken sandwich and pulled pork tacos. Wifey got the chicken and waffles/ and a flight of beer. The flavor of the chicken sandwich was very good, excellent ratio of filling to protein and the pickled veg they used was tasty and cut through the heaviness of the fried chicken. The breading on the chicken was super crispy and tasty. The chicken itself imo was a bit dry but with all the sauces and accompanied fillings it's OK. Wifey has the same comment on the chicken as it is the same as what would be in the sandwich. Good crispy outside and tasty but dry. The waffle style wasn't fluffy it is more the denser sweet kind? So it wasn't her cup of tea but for others she said it may be a good choice. The pulled pork tacos were delicious, very full of pork and sauce on top. I would highly recommend those. The servers were on top of making sure we had our drinks and answered any questions we had. Always made sure our waters were refilled and we're very pleasant at all times. Very good staff! Would def go back and maybe try some of the other menu items.

Great food! Ate there today (Wednesday 12/11) and our server was very and kind. I didn't catch his name sadly. Chill atmosphere. Nice enclosed patio seating with heaters. Awesome choice for vegetarians too.

This is what you're gonna do. 1. Try and get a sit in the back area, by the fireplace if you can. 2. Order the: - Helles Lager. - Truffle Cheese Fries with the "Garlic Dill" dip. - Chicken Wings - do half/half: Sweet Heat & Salt/Pepper. Everything on that list I absolutely loved, and the Lager was one of the best I've had in a long while. The Fries...I could've had another basket and the dill dip....I wanted to take home the container. That's just to get you started. We unfortunately had dinner reservations elsewhere, so it was just appies and drinks this time. I'm coming back for their Helles Lager and trying their burgers. Something tells me.... I'm still missing the best dish. And our server. She was an absolute Pro.

Super busy and loud but service was really fast and good. Amazing food and drinks. Fort Langley got a great restaurant and its trading post eatery.

Nice craft beer place in Fort Langley. Still remember when there was nothing to do (other than the actual fort) in this town. How times have changed. Parking is available on the side streets. Spots aren't metered. Yay! The inside has a rustic look, in keeping with the whole historical theme. Staff were friendly and helpful. The flight was decent. The raspberry wheat ale is nice and tart, and the Norwegian farmhouse ale is nice and citrusy, though I'm not sure which part of the beer is Norwegian. Apparently they have a few other locations, which is good to know.

My Daughter took me for a bike ride through the trails at Derby Reach and then to Trading Post for a snack on Fathers Day! It was a great time! The Beer was really Good! It was my first time there & a beautiful sunny day on the patio was perfect. I ordered a flight and every one of the four were great. The snacks were really good especially the bison tacos! The poutine had a little spice to it and it wasn't what I'm used to but it worked. The cheese dip was ok but not my favourite. I'm looking forward to stopping in again at some point this summer especially for the tacos!!

Friendly staff and clean place and nice atmosphere. The live music is a bit questionable..not the best bands at times. The volume can get really loud and it's hard to hear the people across your table. Good food that's tasty and just the right portion. Some drink are nice and some are okay. Quite a few seats but always busy and sometimes a line outside. A bit pricey but overall we had a great night. Wouldn't be my go to but I don't mind going back once in awhile.

Over the years the food at Trading Post has improved! We were pretty happy with the parm fries, pasta, and salad we ordered. I would score it 7/10.

There was an hour wait to get food I would best describe as a motel's attempt at pub dining. Anything that sounds like it needs more thought to it than deep frying should be ignored. Lemon pancakes shouldn't mean lemon slime squirted onto two cold pseudo crepes. Pork belly can't be treated like bacon and a latke is absolutely not a frozen potato patty from Costco. The waitstaff are fine... people need jobs. The location is nice. But the food is dirtshit, cold, and desperately wants to be expensive.

Service was extremely slow from the start--waiting far too long just to order a beer and food. 3 people working the front and less than 20 customers. One of the waitresses was walking around with a baby, and both servers spent a noticeable amount of time sitting at their own table eating while customers were waiting. The food was just as disappointing. The salt & pepper wings tasted completely plain, even after asking for them to be re-tossed. The carrots were soggy and honestly disgusting. Everything took forever despite there being almost no one in the restaurant. Would not give me sauce without paying extra. Staff seemed more interested in mingling with themselves and a few regulars than actually doing their jobs. I was seated right in the middle of the restaurant and still felt ignored. To top it off, staff were openly making fun of people on the patio who were complaining about the wings--which says a lot. PS Don't get the wings. Overall, this was not a good experience at all. Poor service, bad food, and an unprofessional atmosphere. I won't be back.

Oh my gosh, we were out this way, without much breakfast had, so looking for brunch-ish? Ronny's was outstanding! We missed the lunch rush I think, more were leaving than coming in, but I'd say they do a good lunch, or people wouldn't be there. Did I mention they are out of the way a bit? Don't let that deter you, go there, and you'll be like us, will find a way to decide, we need to go to Maple Ridge! I love the interior with a splash of Italia, but decor is full of understanding what the purpose is. It's about feeding people in the traditional sense. You can eat in, take away ready, or take it home warm it up and feed your family. How refreshing it is for us that love the old world mindset. K's Chef's Special with fries was so good. The fries remained hot until the last one was devoured, how do they do that? She ate half the sandwich and had to box the other half. My borscht side with my Turkey BL sandwich was so good I also brought a half sandwich home. I could have finished it, but we would have had to stop for a nap prior to getting all the way home. This might surprise those that have read this far, but we are going back for sure, and you should find a reason to do the same.

I loved the crispy exterior with the sea salt on top, and the inside was so pillowy and buttery - then topped with the blue cheese butter... yum! So good. For my entree, I ordered the truffle tenderloin steak and my dining partner had the ahi tuna. We also added the Brussels sprouts and Brie mashed potatoes to share. A really cool feature is they bring over a selection of steak knives that you can choose from. I really love this concept and whoever thought that up is a genius. I chose a gorgeous, elegant-looking knife with a handle that looked like mother of pearl. The steak was easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. They shave black truffle directly on the steak when it's served, which adds such a nice richness. The sauce is also one of the better sauces I've had on a steak. It was so tempting to want to lick the plate! It was a cooked to a perfect medium rare and so tender. It's been a long time since I was really blown away by a great steak, but this just hit the mark in every way. The Brussels sprouts were great, but there was something in the dish that was a bit odd - almost like wasabi or something. It wasn't bad, it just had a kick that I wasn't expecting and made me cough a little bit. The potatoes were creamy and buttery but I did think the Brie flavour wasn't coming through enough. Maybe because all the other flavours on my plate were pretty strong. I didn't try the tuna but it looked beautiful and apparently tasted just as good. We finished off with a couple of desserts: the beehive pavlova and the crème brûlée, the latter being my typical go-to dessert. Unfortunately, I didn't really care for the salted caramel flavour here, but can't really put my finger on what exactly I didn't enjoy as I normally love salted caramel. One bite was enough for me. It looked amazing, though. I did enjoy the pavlova, but it wasn't a traditional style as it had ice cream inside instead of whipped cream. It was more like a baked Alaska without the flame. The flavours were good on this dessert, but I probably wouldn't order it again as I was really craving the more traditional pavlova. Service was good, but we did wait quite a long time after being seated before placing our order, and then waited again after dessert before getting our bill. We weren't in a hurry, but I think we were there for over 3 hours. Still a very enjoyable meal and I would definitely return for the steak alone.

Even though the restaurant was mostly empty, everything took a really long time! The waitress (there looked to only be one for the whole restaurant) took a long time to come grab our drink orders then our mains, and the food took a long time to come as well. 5/6 of the dishes had come for around 10-15min before we had to flag down a waiter to remind them to bring the 6th one out which was unfortunate as that person started eating later than the rest of us. The fries were also all cold and we had to ask for new ones (which also took a long time to arrive). One positive point to mention here was that everyone was very nice throughout the whole experience. As for the food itself it was overall pretty good. The happy hour menu had a good selection to choose from and everyone seemed pretty happy with their meal choices (baja tacos, clam chowder, chicken strips, chicken ceaser wrap). I got the grilled cheese which came with a vodka sauce side and it was yummy but not worth the $17 (especially since it didn't come with a side). The bistro salad I ordered on the side was good though! Overall it would have ranked higher had the service scuffles and slowness not occurred, but I would say it's very average pub food at best.

There were very few patrons in the at 1:45 so we expected to have a quick lunch. We were seated quickly by the hostess, and there we sat. After about three minutes she brought water glasses and a jug, which we asked for. We then sat another four minutes, possibly five until our server came by to ask if we wanted a beverage. Almost 10 minutes waiting is not good at any time, but especially when the place is basically empty. K ordered the steak frites and I got the Yakitori chicken with sesame noodle salad, along with the extra skewer. Again the food took quite some time, did I mention it was not busy! The steak was properly cooked medium rare, but it as well as the fries were not hot, in fact barely warm. The fries were sent back, but K kept the steak as a refire would bring it back after I had finished eating my Yakitori. As for my food, it was bland at best, no sesame to be found and the coleslaw had barely any dressing. The skewers were wildly uneven in size (see photo) and tasted like nothing at all. Our server was very apologetic but there really is no excuse for poor food especially when they are not busy at all. They took 50% off the steak frites, and provided us with a coupon for a free appy, which is fine, but it shouldn't be happening. Very disappointing to say the least.
