They have very beautiful location and interior design of the restaurant is very pleasing. The patio isn't bad either but it's temporary due to covid on the sidewalk . Food is one of the best ones i have had in a pub. Various cuisine dishes are served and they are prepared to perfection. Not only its yummy but the portions are good enough for two people . We had chicken fettuccine with creamy gravy n garlic bread on the side. Fresh salad with buratta bread . We arrived, chilling, happy to have a lovely catch up with friends. We were seated in a section that wasn't ideal, but the server explained that they were expecting a large party We ordered. After quite a pause, the large party arrived, and magically their meals started flowing from the kitchen. We flagged a server and they informed us that it is the restaurant's policy to prioritize large parties. WTAF!!! We asked for the bill to cover our bevvies, and our server beseeched us to give them a few minutes to reason with the kichen, and added they'd like to offer us a complimentary beer. We sympathize with the folks on the floor, and relaxed a trifle. Our food arrived. It was tasty but ... We won't be back any time soon. The kitchen is 100% wrong in their thinking. To begin with I ate here a year ago and I don't know what happened but this place needs to reinvest in everything. There was an hour wait to get food I would best describe as a motel's attempt at pub dining. Anything that sounds like it needs more thought to it than deep frying should be ignored. Lemon pancakes shouldn't mean lemon slime squirted onto two cold pseudo crepes. Pork belly can't be treated like bacon and a latke is absolutely not a frozen potato patty from Costco. Visited: February 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM People were left waiting at the door for several minutes even though the place was nowhere near busy. Service was extremely slow from the start--waiting far too long just to order a beer and food. 3 people working the front and less than 20 customers. One of the waitresses was walking around with a baby, and both servers spent a noticeable amount of time sitting at their own table eating while customers were waiting. The food was just as disappointing. The salt & pepper wings tasted completely plain, even after asking for them to be re-tossed. The carrots were soggy and honestly disgusting. Everything took forever despite there being almost no one in the restaurant. Would not give me sauce without paying extra. Staff seemed more interested in mingling with themselves and a few regulars than actually doing their jobs. I was seated right in the middle of the restaurant and still felt ignored. To top it off, staff were openly making fun of people on the patio who were complaining about the wings--which says a lot. PS Don't get the wings. Overall, this was not a good experience at all. Great food and great service. My sisters and I came here for our yearly celebration of my birthday. We try to pick a new place every year and The Fort has been on my bucket list for a few years. It is mosquito season and they land on you once you stop moving. So it is quite annoying to have to keep moving while waiting for someone to show up at the host table. It was quite a wait for a bustling place and even after we dined and left, we saw other people also puzzled if the staff would show up. Some tried to venture into the dining area on their own to check. Spray insect repellent liberally on yourself and settle in for a wait and you will be fine. Once the host staff showed up and we were shown to our table, it was fine. Due to Covid-19, it was paper menu and collect your own napkin and flatware at the door with hand sanitizer available. We sat inside for the ac and to avoid the mozzies situation. Plus the wait was shorter compared to patio seating. Our waitress was great and despite the busy afternoon, orders and food/drinks were served promptly. We shared the baked crab dip and the cheese naan was delicious. The dip was very rich and cheesy (a bit too salty for me). I tried the coconut shrimp and it was nicely done. A pity they were out of the mango coulis. I liked the cottage pie which was comfort food to me. Thumbs up for having the salad dressing on the side. This was also my first time having the Caesar and it was good. I made reservations to the Rail and River. Fort Pub & Grill share the same location and I was confused! We came, told them we had reservations and that we were here for martinis and to celebrate our friends birthday. Fort Pub does not have martinis FYI. The server was rude. She acted like we were bothering her on a very busy day (there was maybe 3 tables inside, a few outside). We left immediately and thankfully found the right place. I've been here twice since Covid-19 started, and they've followed protocol for keeping ppl safe...hand sanitizer, distanced seating, plastic between tables and the servers are wearing masks. The service is fairly quick and very friendly. I always enjoy eating here. The choice of dishes on their regular menu and specials of the day are diverse, so it's great for catering to what you're in the mood for. This time I had the lobster roll special, which came with a side of freshly fried potato chips. I also tasted the Salisbury meatball dish, which my dining companions had. The meatballs were perfectly cooked and placed on pasta, with a side green salad and garlic baguette - all for just under $16. The lobster roll was very fresh and hit the spot. Our first time at this Pub for breakfast, we didn't expect too much since it's a pub. We chose a table on the large patio with tons of space between the next table. We ordered Eggs Benedict and Denver Omelette, they were both solid and done right. I saw other guests' shepherd pie and grilled chicken salad were equally appetizing. We'll definitely be back for more. Due to COVID-19 there was a bit of a line up as they have less capacity with social distancing measures in place. Ample parking in front of the pub. Great location! Walked the fort trail and came here for dinner! They have a great drink selection and even have flights which includes cider! I ordered the Fort Clubhouse and its was so yummy. My husband and I came for a quick bite to eat after a stroll through Fort Langley on Saturday! The main road was closed to traffic for the annual Cranberry Festival...but we got through on the side roads! We used to come to The Fort Pub years ago for a burger special they used to have and we were craving one of their delicious burgers! It did not disappoint...a burger with a Cider on their warm covered deck with the game playing was just the thing we were looking for! I have been going there for awhile now, but after today ill only be drinking. 50 minute wait for food. My burger was gross, the bacon was 2 peaces of raw fat. I shown the waitress and she even said that looks gross. The waitress asked if I wanted another one but I did. It was taken away and i got new fries. The prices are reasonable and quite a few options. The cocktails are just okay for me..the cocktail itself is tasty but my friend and I could barely taste any vodka in our margaritas. It's nice in the summer that the margaritas and daiquiris are like slushie cocktails but it almost tastes like virgin cocktails so it's not too worth it. Once is fine though, I just prefer my cocktails or drinks strong. If you like something sweet (not overly sweet) and you don't like to taste much of the alcohol then it'll be good for you. The burger was fine but I've had much better ones. The buns came looking deflated. Soup is nice though, my friend and I really enjoyed it. The Three Tempura Cod Tacos are fine. I like the veggies on top, nice balance with the flavour, but I do wish they seasoned the cod a bit and definitely fry it better. It wasn't soggy at all but it wasn't crispy neither is it too crunch as well..just ok. Overall, not too bad of an experience but it's just not a place I'd be coming back to. This is a great old-time cowboy style pub in a historic village called Fort Langley. It was a very hot day sitting outside the spacious patio. Service was good. Even though they were quite busy, they were able to accommodate us on the patio. Menu offered a large selection of classic American food. Servers made sure our table was cleaned appropriately and service was quite efficient. I only had the caesar salad with blackened chicken. Wasn't crazy about the dressing (raspberry balsamic). The blackened chicken was a little salty but because the wine and beverages were priced well at $8 - 9 per glass, we had a lot more of those. Overall the experience was fun, ambiance was unique, service was great. During busy times, I think parking could be a problem but we managed to find a spot near the restaurant. I will try something else on the menu next time to really enjoy my visit. read more

Sooooo freaking good AND actually spicy!!! Had a Parallel 49 beer ( as recommended by our server) and wholly cow was that amazing!!! Now onto the main course. My friend and I felt a bit out of place as we were not locals and our waitress did a mediocre job. I made it pretty clear to what we were ordering but she Apprently did not hear correct so we were finishing our burgers and wondering where our Mac and cheese was, She told us that all we ordered were the burgers when I had made it clear we wanted Mac and cheese as well but whatever maybe it was an honest mistake so we ended up ordering that after our main meal. Then I asked the waitress for hot sauce and I never ended up getting it. It would be good if the waitress paid more attention and made sure to give all the customers proper respect and service. I can't describe this place in one word. I would say it's a pleasing combination of rustic, spacious, clean, open and charming! My first visit happened on January 15, 2014 to watch a friend perform music there. The patio is covered and not uncomfortably chilly at all as there were overhead heaters. It was a busy Wednesday night but the service was friendly; it took a tad bit on the long side for our food and beverages to arrive but the 'crowdiness' of the spot makes it understandable. The manager came out with free wings and one server was passing a platter that contained free spring rolls and chicken skewers. Overall, it was a very nice experience way out there in Fort Langley making the drive (and toll bridge charges) worth while. By the way, the menu had symbols to denote which items are gluten free and which are vegetarian...I consider that a very nice bonus! read more

Went for Mother's Day. It was super busy, we wanted to sit outside but they didn't have very many tables that could accommodate our size unfortunately! So, we ended up sitting inside (I should mention there were 6 of us, not a large group by any means). Anyways, the inside was loud but our service was really good. The waitress took her time and answered all our questions. The food was AMAZING!! Our group had the veggie burger, the salmon burger and the fish and chips. Had a ladies night out with some friends on Monday, and we walked to the Fort Pub for some dinner and bevvies. Good timing (I thought), burger and fries was on special on Monday for only $6.25. Except that when we ordered, all my friends got the $6 burger special and I was told that they couldn't make it with a veggie patty. The waitress pointed to the "Fort" burger in the menu and told me that was my only vegetarian burger option. It was over $11. I double checked with the waitress....so my veggie patty is going to cost an extra $5? "Yes". And your manager knows that and is ok ripping me off like that? "Yeahhh". (Yes, my server was pretty much that interested in my satisfaction). I'd have left but didn't want to ruin the evening for my whole group. It's ridiculous that I was charged almost double for requesting a veggie patty in place of a meat patty. Must be the cheapest, lowest quality meat if that's the price difference.
